Britney Spears' New Single: Listen, React Now!
"Hold It Against Me" is the new single from Britney Spears. Unlike the leaked demo from last week, this is the real version of the song, with Brit singing.
We're sort of let down. The lyrics, for one, are simply a play on a lame, ancient pick-up line - "If I said I liked your body, would you hold it against me?"
The beat is more or less forgettable too. She just sort of mouths inane lyrics over whatever "edgy" electro beats her producers lay out nowadays.
Doesn't seem like there's much about this that's distinctly Britney, but that's just one opinion. Take a listen yourself, vote below and comment away:

Britney Spears Teases Release of New Single
Lady Gaga and Britney Spears are both ready to dominate the music world in 2011. Imagine the excitement when the latter's latest single leaked online.
Imagine if it were the real thing, too!
The pop superstar writes: "Heard an early demo of my new single leaked. If u think that's good, wait til you hear the real one Tuesday. - Britney"
Britney Spears' cover for "Hold It Against Me."
Late last month, the "Hold It Against Me" lyrics first surfaced, and the demo now causing a stir online does appear to be the new single in question.
It's just not Britney singing it. Clearly. Still, you can listen to the single, or at least what we assume will be the song, only with Britney, here:
11 For '11: Stories THG is Tracking This Year
We spent much of December looking back at the stars, stories and celebrity scandals that made 2010 so memorable. Now we look ahead to a brand new year.
Some scandals will come out of nowhere. Some celebs will make news for reasons we can't predict, and random people will become stars of the gossip world.
Still, there are some potential stars, feuds and topics we already have our eye on. Here are 11 Hollywood news stories to keep your eye out for in 2011 ...
Is this the year people tire of Kim and the 'Tag? Was that 2007-2010?
11. The Michael Jackson trial. Will Dr. Conrad Murray be held criminally liable for the death of the King of Pop in a precedent-setting manslaughter case?
10. Reality bites. Oh, but you know you still watch. The question? Will the Jersey Shore cast, Kardashians and Real Housewives get bigger, or fade away?
9. Repeat offenders. Will the likes of Floyd Mayweather, Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan get it together for their own good, or keep effing up for ours?
Lady Gaga vs. Britney Spears: Who Will Rule 2011?
As she announced earlier via pants-less Twitter pic, Lady Gaga has a new album out this spring. But she'll have some serious competition as she looks to cement her place as the reigning queen of pop music and culture:
Britney Spears.
Gaga's single, "Born This Way," is due out next month, with her album of the same name set for May. Britney's album is scheduled for a March release.
Which pop queen will conquer music in 2011?
Which bombshell will rise to the top of the heap? Can they deliver truly cutting-edge music or will they rely on their persona to carry them forward?
On top of musical similarities, the two have rabid fan bases (Gaga, Justin Bieber and Britney have the most Twitter fans worldwide, in that order).
While Gaga's image is unique and experimental, she's still so new to the scene that it's hard to know what to expect in terms of her musical style.
New Britney Spears Song Lyrics: Read Now!
Britney Spears will release a new album in March.
Her seventh studio CD, it remains untitled, but we can confirm that producers Max Martin and Dr. Luke will play key roles on various upcoming singles.
Based on the words below, it's safe to say Britney Spears won't be leaving her comfort, sex-based zone on her upcoming album.
One of these songs will reportedly be titled “Hold It Against Me“ and it will contain the following lyrics:
By the Numbers: The Top 10 Tweets of 2010
People on Twitter love Justin Bieber.
Of the top 10 re-Tweeted messages of the whole year, one was by Justin Bieber, and two others pertained to Justin Bieber. Which makes sense ... it is his world.
While celebrity Tweets registering at "100+" is commonplace, the social networking site actually did compile the top 10 re-Tweeted messages of the year.
Weezy and Gaga both made the Twitter Top 10.
The year's top Twitter posts included a defiant Britney Spears, food for thought by Drake, and a hilarious, sad and topical one-liner by Steven Colbert.
Strangely, Al-Qaeda cracked the top five. It's a satirical account, not really updated by Osama Bin Laden ... we think. How morbidly funny would that be?

Britney Spears on Mexico Trip: Best Birthday EVER!
In the wake of reports about Jason Trawick's alleged abuse of Britney Spears, the star and her camp are doing all they can to paint a picture of happiness.
Right after the scandal broke, Trawick whisked her off to a private, $5,000 a night villa in Conchas Chinas, Mexico, to mark her 29th birthday last week.
The duo denies and shrugs off the abuse rumor, with her telling Us, "My birthday weekend away with Jason was amazing. Best birthday of my life!"

There have been several theories, ranging from the star’s camp planting the rumor to generate buzz for her new album to Team Spears laboring to cover it up.
Some think the Mexican getaway was merely a publicity stunt designed to make the troubled couple appear happy. In truth, some say the superstar is trapped.
Britney Spears Still Battling Fernando Flores Lawsuit
Britney Spears lost her first legal ruling in the lawsuit filed against her by former bodyguard Fernando Flores, but it was mostly a logistical issue.
A judge ruled against Britney's bid to have that lawsuit consolidated under the conservatorship run by her father, which still governs the pop singer.
Fernando Flores' case will instead be fought in Los Angeles Superior Court.
The judge handling Britney’s conservatorship will not hear the case. Spears motion to consolidate the lawsuit under the conservatorship was denied.
The star's camp felt it would be advantageous to have the case heard in that setting, although the exact reasons are unclear. In any event, it failed.
Flores' allegations against the pop star include that he saw her strike her two children, and that she saw Britney Spears nude parading around a lot.
Spears' camp has denied the claims. Last week, another story surfaced alleging that she was abused by Jason Trawick. This was denounced as well.
Did Britney Spears' Camp Concoct Abuse Story?
Was last week's tabloid report about Britney Spears being abused by her boyfriend a creation of someone in the star's camp as a means of generating buzz?
Probably not, but stranger things have happened.
To be clear, we're not saying Britney Spears or Jason Trawick was in on it, or that anyone was for that matter. But it's a bit coincidental how it played out.
The timing and details of this story? Awfully strange.
Flash back to last week. Star reported that Britney phoned her ex, Jason Alexander, confessing that Trawick attacked her. Radar then posted the audio.
Spears' camp decried the rumor, analysts declared the tape bogus, and Brit Tweeted that everyone involved can "kiss my lily white southern Louisiana ass!"
Then came this interesting Tweeted tidbit, too: "I'm almost done with my new album and it will be coming out this March. I AM IN L-O-V-E WITH IT!"
Britney Spears to Ex-Husband, Tabloids: Y'all Can Kiss My A$$!
Reports that Britney Spears was physically abused by Jason Trawick shocked the Hollywood world this week, but have been adamantly denied by her camp.
Now the singer herself has gone on record with a Tweet for the axis of evil - Star Magazine, Radar Online and Jason Alexander - who fabricated the tale.
Pucker up, jerks, and kiss her ... well, see below.
Brit also says she has a new album coming out and is "off on a romantic weekend" with Trawick for her birthday. Guess it's clear where she stands!
