Jason Trawick may have swept Britney Spears off her feet, but there's a reason the man made a career as a talent agent and not the actual talent.

In a short, fun video he posted, Jason serenades The X Factor judge with a few bars of "Sister Christian" while driving her to her San Francisco auditions.

They're quite cute together, and her reaction is great:

"Rode in my 1st @Uber to @TheXFactorUSA auditions in SF today! Jason auditioned for me ... I wouldn't put him through…" the pop star tweeted.

"Not fair! Can I please try my second song choice? I promise to show u I have the X Factor!" Jason Trawick, who proposed last year, pleaded.

That would be REO Speedwagon's "Keep on Loving You" BTW.

He may not have the singing chops, but Jason, who once repped the star he's engaged to, seems like perfect husband material for Britney.

Just don't shoot videos and drive, guys. Against the law.

Britney Spears became emotional when a familiar face showed up at the San Francisco auditions for The X Factor on Sunday – and revealed a personal secret.

When a male contestant stepped onto the stage at the Oracle Arena, "You could see that Britney recognized him straight away," a source says. From where?

"I know him," said Britney Spears, who was sitting on the panel with Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and Demi Lovato. "We did a duet together 10 years ago."

"She got this huge smile on her face and her eyes lit up. It was so sweet," said a source, but when the singer started to cry in front of her, things changed.

"I'm gay," he said, and the audition became emotionally charged. "At the time I didn't think I was worthy. I didn't think you thought it was okay that I am gay."

Britney was nothing but supportive. "I think it is fine you are gay," she said.

"When he started crying and saying he thought he'd never see her again and that he'd had a lot to deal with, Britney was comforting him," the source says.

But during his audition, Britney Spears was visibly shaken up as well.

A formidable but unlikely duo, Britney Spears and Adam Lambert have just been named Billboard magazine's sexiest woman and man in music.

Agree? Disagree?

The X Factor judge and pop icon and the American Idol runner-up beat hundreds of musicians to the title in a just-released reader poll.

  • Awesome Adam Lambert
  • Britney Spears, Hot Dress

Britney was crowned the Sexiest Woman in Music with 45 percent of the vote, absolutely trouncing second-place Lady Gaga's 12 percent.

Beyonce claimed the third sport, with Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift also featured in the top ten, according to Billboard voters.

Adam Lambert, meanwhile, won the magazine's Sexiest Man in Music title, with Maroon 5 singer / The Voice coach Adam Levine in second.

Teenybopper heart throb Justin Bieber came third, just ahead of Enrique Iglesias, Chris Brown, Usher and Drake. Quite the exclusive list.

What do you think? Who are the sexiest man and woman in music?

Britney Spears is not afraid to mix it up on The X Factor.

During auditions in Kansas City, Mo., with Simon Cowell out sick, his show's newest judge proved she is taking her job very seriously.

"She's got a really good instinct, and when she loves something, she looks like she wants to dance on the desk," a source says.

"When she doesn't like someone, she is incredibly tough."

Since joining X Factor last month, Spears, whose first week on the job was suspect, "she's really massively grown in confidence," a source says.

"She loves interesting and fun auditions and is prepared to stick her neck out and support someone no matter if some of the other judges disagree."

Her tough side came out this weekend, when she told one aspiring singer, "You have to be great to be on this show, so [I vote] no."

Ouch! During another audition, Spears, Demi Lovato, L.A. Reid and Cowell stand-in Louis Walsh ALL walked off the set of the show.

Justin Bieber's alleged attack on a member of the paparazzi - who accuses him of roughing him up and leaving him in need of medical attention - is clearly BS.

Can you see Justin Bieber roughing someone up? Seriously?

That's beside the point, though. Whatever happened, Biebs' altercation is just the latest in a long string of tense run-ins between stars and the media who cover the celebrity gossip we crave. Here's a look back at seven of the most memorable:

1. Britney Spears: After a downward spiral that saw her shave her head, file for divorce and deliver her second child in the span of a year, Spears suffered a meltdown in February 2007 that saw her violently attack a paparazzo's car with an umbrella:

2. Russell Brand: Katy Perry's ex recently gave a whole new meaning to the term "dropped call" as he grabbed a photographer's iPhone and flung it through a nearby window. Brand later turned himself in after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

3. Kanye West: The rapper racked up three misdemeanor charges in 2008 after he was arrested for allegedly wrestling with a photographer at LAX, grabbing his camera and smashing it on the floor. The charges were eventually dropped.

Britney Spears' fiance Jason Trawick, in a sweet video message filmed from bed, sends love and congratulations to his pop star bride-to-be.

After she filmed her first set of X Factor auditions in Austin, Texas, during which she may or may not have walked off the set, Jason said:

"Princess, we just completed our first weekend on X Factor. Just wanted to say I'm very proud of you and I love you so much. Congratulations."

Trawick, Spears' former agent, signs off the brief video with a sweet kiss, joking, "Now get back in here so we can go to sleep."

Spears, meanwhile, responded on Facebook, writing, "Awww love you too Xoxo."

On Thursday and Friday, Britney Spears joined L.A. Reid, Demi Lovato and Simon Cowell in Austin for her first-ever X Factor auditions.

"Texas has a lot of talent - seriously! Totally loving @TheXFactorUSA auditions so far," Tweeted Spears, who has 15 million reasons to.

An interesting explanation of Britney Spears walking off The X Factor set Thursday has emerged in a new report on TMZ: She did because she can.

The show wanted Spears so badly, they literally gave away the candy store ... well not literally, although she could probably buy a candy store.

With a deal paying her $15 million for one season, Britney is raking it in, and that's not even all. Her contract basically gives her carte blanche.

Spears has the right to do things during production that are not "normal," insiders say, and that includes taking breaks whenever she feels like it.

Simon Cowell and Britney Spears

As one source put it, "Simon is a shrewd businessman who knew Britney could make his show and he was willing to give her just about anything."

Guess so. And hey, look at us talking about The X Factor in May!

Yesterday, Britney walked off the set during the very first taping, leaving behind an empty judge's chair while four contestants did their thing.

Sources connected with the production say Britney was "overwhelmed" and left. She sort of denied this on Twitter, but would anyone be surprised?

People who were at the taping claim she was upset by the audience reacting negatively to some of her comments, then abruptly peaced out.

Howard Stern's right. This could be a train wreck. But highly-rated!

Britney Spears saluted the crowd as she made her way onto the stage at the first round of The X Factor auditions on Thursday (May 24) in Austin, Texas.

Did the first drama of the season take place mere minutes later?

Reports that she walked off the set after someone butchered one of her songs surfaced on TMZ yesterday, but Brit took to her Twitter to downplay them.

"#Britneywalksoff??? LOL was just taking a break people. I am having the BEST time!!!" she wrote, Twitter hashtag and all, in response to the rumor.

Sounds like a lot of hot air. Earlier in the day, Britney and Demi Lovato Tweeted their excitement at the start of the new season, so it's likely all good.

But don't expect this to be the last Britney drama, rumored or otherwise. The singer's first foray into the reality TV format is sure to be memorable.

The first promo for The X Factor season 2 asks viewers if they're ready for a pair of very famous new judges.

But what about those judges themselves? Demi Lovato and Britney Spears sure sounded ready today when they touched down in Austin, Texas for their very first round of auditions.

  • Britney Spears at X Factor Auditions
  • Demi Lovato in Austin

"So excited to be going to Austin this week for @TheXFactorUSA auditions!" Spears, who was accompanied to Austin with Jason Trawick, Tweeted. "Will I see any of y'all there on Thurs or Fri?"

Added Lovato via the same social network:

"It's my first day... woo hoo!! Who's coming??!!! #XFACTORUSA."

Approximately 200 hopefuls will face Demi, Britney, Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid during four three-hour show tapings over the next couple days. And from there, it's off to another city... and then another... and then another.

Which of the new panelists has you most excited?

UPDATE: A source tells TMZ that Spears walked off the set a few contestants in after a singer butchered her song, "Hold It Against Me." It's unclear if she was upset or just needed a break, but a few subsequent crooners auditioned in front of one empty chair.

Fox has one question for viewers: Are you ready?

During last night's American Idol finale, the network aired its first promo for season two of The X Factor. It included, of course, shots of the show's two new judges: Britney Spears and Demi Lovato. It also featured a cackling Simon Cowell asking folks, what the heck was I thinking?

We have no idea, as neither Britney nor Demi seem like ideal choices for a live competition that involves banter, quick wit and the ability to actually critique others. But, hey, we'll be happy to be proven wrong.
