Jimmy Kimmel apologized to Bristol Palin last night for making fun of her mom. Okay, he's not really sorry at all, but he openly acknowledged that he had done so.

When Bristol, who was far from amused following Tuesday's Dancing With the Stars results show, shot back that his apology was BS, Jimmy offered her a deal:

Bristol became the fifth member of the Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars cast to be voted off this season. What do you think, did she deserve to go?

Last night's Dancing With the Stars results show marked the end of Bristol Palin's run on the program, and her partner Mark Ballas has a theory on why they got bounced:

Bristol Palin played it too safe and didn't think outside the box, he feels.

Ballas told reporters he was "dead serious" about dressing up as an animal pair for their routine previous night, which Palin nixed (see their performance below).

He doesn't regret her decision, he says, but believes taking a risk could've helped her.

After routines that included plenty of perfect 10s, but a cloud of uncertainty hanging over all the couples after last week's double elimination, few were feeling safe tonight.

Who got the boot at the end of Tuesday's Dancing With the Stars results show?

One of the three DWTS: All-Star pairings pictured above is now OUT.

Somewhat amazingly, they were also the bottom three scores Monday.

On last night's Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars, Bristol Palin stormed out on partner Mark Ballas during rehearsal because he doesn't want to be her partner.

Anderson Cooper is calling BS ... and calling it brilliant TV.

"Anyone on a reality show knows that to get attention, you have to have a have a wardrobe malfunction, throw up, have a breakdown, have a storyline," he said.

Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars contestant Bristol Palin is never one to shy away from controversy, but the people threatening her life may want to chill out.

Yes, Bristol says she's receiving regular death threats this fall.

“People have such opinions about me. It's like ‘I hate you, I want you dead and I want to shoot my TV,’” she explains of her public perception. “I don't read any of it."

When you ruffle feathers on your own show, though, you may not have a choice.

Bristol Palin made it all the way to the finals on Dancing With the Stars in her first stint on the show. This fall, she may be out the door after just two routines.

She can thank partner Mark Ballas for "slamming" the judges by breaking choreography rules, and the judges for slamming the duo with Monday's lowest scores.

Mark and Bristol's western-themed quickstep drew a harsh rebuke from Carrie Ann Inaba, who said they slammed the judges by breaking the rules, "so guess what, we slam back."

Bristol Palin did not earn one of the top scores on the season premiere of Dancing With the Stars. She did, however, earn high praise from the judges.

"I vote you the most-improved since last time we saw you," praised Carrie Ann Inaba after Palin and Mark Ballas laid on the sass with a 19.5-point cha-cha-cha.

Pink's "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" was the comeback song for Bristol, whose family - including Sarah Palin herself - sat in the audience. The younger Palin made a promise to her.

"I'm going to shake my butt," she said. "And have a smile on my face."

She's been criticized for re-joining the cast of Dancing With the Stars, among many other things (Tripp's f-bomb) lately, but Derek Hough's got her back.

The three-time pro champion supports Bristol Palin - who said her return to the show is God's plan - for competing on DWTS even if it means bad press.

"Unfortunately with the Palin drama and crazy entertainment it's brought to the United States, I suppose it comes with the territory," Hough told E!

"But I think," he continued, "Good for her. Good for her to put herself out there because it's really easy to kind of hibernate and just to disappear."

"She's saying, 'I'm going to do my thing and if you don't like it, then fine!'"

Calling DWTS a "fun gig," Bristol also said, "You guys, the media, you will all talk about me whether I'm in my little Alaska life or doing this."

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, who made news Friday for her non-subtle dining at Chick-fil-A, has vocally defended her daughter as well.

Thirteen former contestants will compete on the first edition of Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars. Their partners will be revealed August 13.

Bristol Palin will make her return to Dancing with the Stars this fall, as the reality TV star has been included on that show's first-ever All-Star cast.

What drew her back to the ballroom? Not attention or money or any request made by ABC, Palin told reporters today at the Television Critics Association press tour. It was all The Big Guy Upstairs.

Bristol Palin Shakes It

“God provides opportunities like this for me," Bristol said. "It’s a positive, active show. It’s going to be awesome."

But what if - that same God, please forbid! - Palin gets aligned with a gay partner. Considering her view on marriage, won't that be a problem?

“I like gays,” Bristol said. “I’m not a homophobic. Just because I’m for traditional marriage... I don’t hate anybody. People will make up things about me. I’m going to go dance and have fun. It’s not about politics, it’s not about traditional marriage. It’s about dancing. That’s all I have to say about it.”

Hey, like a grown, professional woman once said: haters are going to hate.
