The X Factor may have crowned Melanie Amaro as its first champion, but that talented singer isn't the only contestant to benefit from her time on the show.

Sources confirm that Josh Krajcik, Chris Rene and Astro will all sign recording contracts with Sony Music, encouraging news for the second, third and seventh place finishers, respectively.

Krajcik, of course, quickly became a fan favorite after viewers both heard his soulful voice and learned he had been working at a fast food Mexican restaurant.

Rene, meanwhile, earned a large fan base due to his dancing and energy on stage, while Astro - real name: Brian Bradley - was the most controversial crooner on the show, a rapping savant with a cocky attitude that turned off many viewers.

We wish all the very best of luck!

Rapper 50 Cent, never one to be accused of family friendly entertainment, saw half of his performance bleeped out, but still rocked the house on The X Factor finale.

Astro may not be the inaugural X Factor winner, but the young rapper did make his way onto the finale, rapping alongside Fiddy. That's a feat in and of itself!

Also, L.A. Lakers guard Derek Fisher introduced Mr. Cent, his good friend, and other Lakers - Matt Barnes and Steve Blake - also made it up on stage somehow.

We can't explain it either. Just watch the performance below.

In case the censoring rendered it all unclear, 50 performed his latest single "Wait Until Tonight" followed by his 2003 smash hit, "In Da Club," featuring Astro.

The kid's got game ... unlike Barnes, Blake and Fisher, who just waved their arms a lot ... with Kobe Bryant hurt, maybe they're getting in shape to play extra minutes?

Astro was eliminated from The X Factor last night and, to the young rapper's credit, he did not throw a temper tantrum like he did in a similar situation two weeks ago. Heck, he barely even cried.

That's because, as the teenager told reporters on a conference call soon after his ousting, Astro knows this is merely his start in the business.

"This is a stepping stone. This is just the beginning for my career," Astro said. "I’m going to be doing original material every day. Releasing a song almost every week, if I can."

Adding that he loves writing his own lyrics, Astro made it clear that he has high hopes for himself. The aspiring star hopes to perform with Jay-Z and Kanye West on The X Factor finale.

"I’m going to be everywhere."

Astro made a Michael Jackson track very much his own on The X Factor last night.

The young rapper changed up the lyrics to "Black or White," a bold move that earned praise from the panel, as LA Reid told Astro he likely made the Jackson family "proud," while Simon Cowell gushed over how the finalist made the song younger and added a great new hook.

What do you want from Astro, people? He's from Brooklyn!

Following last week's controversial results show reaction - which was either staged by producers or simply a consequence of Astro's age/attitude - this young rapper spent his introductory video last night giving thanks to his supporters. He then kicked off his cover of "Show Me What You Got" with a reference to his hometown.

From there? What can we say: the guy has serious talent! Simon Cowell actually said he admires Astro and appreciates his "unpredictability," while L.A. Reid referred to him as a "gentleman" and Nicole Scherzinger also expressed pride in the performance. Will Astro return to the bottom two this week?

Perhaps Astro is not so sorry after all.

Less than a week after sulking over his placement in the bottom two of Thursday's results show, and just a couple days after apologizing for his immature behavior, this 15-year old X Factor contestant is speaking out yet again.

And he's telling The New York Post the show was "punishing" him for an off-camera dispute in which Astro insisted on wearing Beats headphones even though the show has a deal with Sony.

Astro on The X Factor

“I don’t see how you can have the most followers on Twitter out of everybody in the competition and get voted in the bottom two," Astro aid. "So, I thought something was jiggy.”

Simon Cowell berated the finalist, saying his actions last week showed "disrespect" to his mom. But Astro insists his mother was behind him all the way.

On last Thursday's X Factor results show, Astro was voted into the bottom two - and then nearly got himself eliminated by initially refusing to sing for the judges' vote. It was a disgraceful show of poor sportsmanship.

But it also came from a young rapper who is only 15 years old, as Astro took to Facebook over the weekend and apologized for acting like a spoiled brat.

"What I do, I do for the love of Hip-Hop and my fans, and I would never doing anything to hurt either," he wrote. "I believed I was being mistreated... My guards are always up, and maybe I took the situation too heavy. I seriously apologize to my fans, what I said and my emotions weren't directed toward you. I'm 15 and I think I know everything, but the truth is, I don't, and I handled the situation wrong! Win or lose next week, I will make you all proud!"

Astro added that he wants to be the "new ambassador" for hip hop, while Simon Cowell said he's met with Astro and his father and everything is "much calmer now."

If true, that's too bad. The X Factor was just getting exciting!

Like Chris Rene, Astro interpreted the theme to last night's X Factor episode as loosely as possible.

This young, extraordinarily talented rapper didn't really do rock 'n roll in any sense of the term. Instead, he stuck to what he knows/does best and brought the crowd to its feet with a take on "I’ll Be Missing You (Every Breath You Take)."

Simon made it very clear that he believes Astro "has a shot at winning this," while Nicole Scherzinger agreed: "You are ready for a $5 million contract," she said. Watch Astro in action now:

There's a very good chance that a majority of The X Factor viewers have never heard of the Mac Daddy. Or even the Daddy Mac.

But Brian "Astro" Bradley did the members of Kris Kross - a young rapping duo from the early 1990s who produced two chart-topping hits and wore their clothes backward - proud last night, bringing The X Factor crowd to its feet with an original take on "Jump."

Melanie Amaro remains our favorite to take home the title, but Bradley may be our true favorite contestant among all remaining. Just watch the 15-year old rapper go!

"You've just killed everybody," Simon said following this performance, prior to turning to L.A. Reid and saying: "If this kid doesn't make it through to the finals you are literally insane."
