Every rose might have its thorn, but Bret Michaels no longer has his fiancee: the rocker has called off his engaged to Kristi Gibson.

"Although the couple have separated they remain great friends and are committed to jointly raising their two daughters," the singer's rep tells People.

Michael and Gibson are the parents of Raine Elizabeth, 12, and Jorja Bleu, 7. They were together for 16 years before Bret popped life's biggest question in December of 2010; the moment was caught on camera for a VH1 documentary.

Gibson has been by Michaels' side through a variety of serious ailments over the last couple years, including an emergency appendectomy, a near-fatal brain hemorrhage and a stroke.

He's on a path to full recovery now, but evidently the same can't be said of this relationship.

Add Bret Michaels to the list of people happy for Miley Cyrus.

In the wake of this singer announcing her engagement to Liam Hemsworth, the rocker - who collaborated with Miley in 2010 on a duet of "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" - tells E! News that Cyrus is "one of the coolest people" and:

"She's a very talented person and I shout out a mega congratulations to her."

And what about the man soon to be Mr. Miley Cyrus?

"You can tell Liam he rocks and he's a good dude."

We'll be sure to pass that along. Last week, both of Miley's parents Tweeted their blessing to the star and her fiance, with Billy Ray Cyrus writing that his dreams as a father have now come true.

They worked together on Celebrity Apprentice, with Bret Michaels taking home the grand prize.

Now, sources tell The New York Post that this rocker and Donald Trump may team up for another reality TV experience: Something To Believe In, which woud feature Michaels traveling across the country and assisting those under adverse conditions.

The former Poison frontman, who used to be known as a walking STD, has become a source for inspiration after overcoming a brain hemorrhage last year and undergoing heart surgery in January.

A rep for The Donald told the newspaper that Trump "thinks Bret is a wonderful guy" and would "consider" another realty program with the star.

Crystal Harris, meanwhile, is shopping her own series to various networks.

It's one of the funniest videos on record. But, to Bret Michaels, what happened in June 2009 is no laughing matter.

The rocker took to the Tony Awards' stage two years ago, sang alongside the Rock of Ages cast - and then knocked himself silly against a piece of scenery. Relive the dangerous/unfortunate/hilarious incident below:

Yesterday, Michaels filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court against Tony Award Productions, CBS and others for unspecified damages, claiming producers failed to instruct him how to properly exit the stage following this performance.

Bret was treated for a broken nose and cut lip at the scene, and the suit says his brain injury months later was due to this mishap. Reads the document:

"One of the most common causes of this type of hemorrhage is head trauma - exactly like the one Michaels suffered at the hands of the Tony Awards."

We haven't heard the last from Brett Michaels and Miley Cyrus.

The artists recorded a duet of Poison's "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" last year, only for the release of it to be suspended because rumors of an affair between Bret and Miley's mother, Tish, flooded the Internet.

Both parties denied the story.

Now, the same week Billy Ray called off his divorce from Tish, Michaels has announced his plan to eventually release the single, even citing the rumored affair as the basis for its delay:

"The record label was supposed have to this huge humongous release of 'Every Rose.' It was going to be Miley's next-step song, but because of that, they stepped back."

Bret Michaels is okay. Let's get that important piece of information out there.

But the rocker did undergo yet another health scare last week, suffering through a massive drop in blood pressure in the days following his recent heart surgery. The cause was quickly determined, however, and Michaels is "fine," reports Dr. Mansour Assar.

"It's always good for patients to be evaluated when they're not feeling well," he says.

Four days after a procedure to repair a hole in his heart, the rocker's blood pressure plunged. Tests revealed the issues was related to dehydration and exhaustion, more likely a result of his diabetes than the operation.

Michaels is resting comfortably at home in Arizona and excited for Super Bowl XLV. He's a Pennsylvania native and Steelers fan.

Following surgery on Monday to prevent abnormal blood flow within his his heart, Bret Michaels is now resting comfortably at home.

"Bret's procedure had excellent results," said Dr. Mansour Assar, the cardiologist at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center who operated on Michaels. "Because of the successful outcome and Bret's determination, I believe he will be able to return to normal activity within weeks."

For a change, that actually won't include the consistent banging of groupies. This is an engaged man now!

Michaels, of course, suffered cerebral hemorrhage last year that left him in critical condition. He's since gone on to win Celebrity Apprentice and inspire a nation. Get well soon, Bret!

The heart of Bret Michaels is a busy organ.

Last month, it was officially stolen by long-time girlfriend Kristi Gibson, who agreed to marry the reality show champion/rocker.

Now, today, possibly at this very moment, Michael is undergoing surgery at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center to repair a literal hole in his heart. This is the same facility where Bret was treated for a brain hemorrhage in April.

“Bret is looking forward to feeling 100 percent again,” his rep says.

"Bret Michaels underwent a successful heart procedure today at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix," Bret's rep says, adding that his client "is currently recuperating at St. Joseph's where he remains for observation in ICU."
