Talk about keeping a low profile.

Kelly Clarkson married Brandon Blackstock yesterday at Blackberry Farm, a luxury resort in the Smoky Mountains of Walland, Tennessee.

But there were no photographs from the event, no major announcement from the original American Idol, not even a press release from her rep.

Instead, there was simply the following Tweet from someone named Renee Beranek, who had first-hand knowledge of the nuptials:

"Kelly Clarkson got married at Blackberry Farm today.. My sister is a chef at Blackberry Farms... CRAZY!"

Clarkson and Blackstock got engaged in December and had originally planned a major, widely attended affair.

So much for a big, fancy, expensive wedding

Kelly Clarkson tells People that she and fiancé Brandon Blackstock are too busy for a major celebration and will instead exchange vows via elopement. Only the couple, Brandon's two kids and a minister will be present for the ceremony.

Kelly Clarkson revealed at the 2013 ACM Awards Sunday night that her wedding to Brandon Blackstock will feature a well-known officiant: Blake Shelton!

The original American Idol, 30, told Entertainment Tonight's Nancy O'Dell that The Voice mentor will not just attend the nuptials, but conduct the wedding itself.

  • Blake Shelton Wins!
  • Kelly Clarkson in Ireland

Kelly, Blake and Brandon go back a long way. Shelton says he had a huge hand in making sure Clarkson's fiance popped the question in a timely manner.

So much for Miss Independent.

Kelly Clarkson made an exciting announcement tonight on Twitter, writing of boyfriend Brandon Blackstock:

Blackstock, a Nashville-based talent manager, has been dating the original American Idol for about a year. He's the son of Clarkson's manager, Narvel Blackstock, who is married to Reba McEntire.

This development may make it difficult for Clarkson to write any more angry woman anthems, but whatever. She's getting married!!!

We send our best to the couple.

You are a very lucky man, Brandon Blackstock.

The 35-year old talent manager started dating Kelly Clarkson in late 2011 - and to hear this THG favorite talk about her man, things are going quite well.

"One of my favorite things is we're both in the business," Clarkson tells People. "He gets my job and he gets how busy it can get, and he gets the sacrifices that we both have to make with our jobs."

The couple owns a German Shepherd named Bear together and Clarkson describes the relationship as simple and "real."

"I think as you get old... you just get less worried about the little stuff that doesn't matter and you focus more on the bigger picture," she says. "And, you know, I'm also in love. I'm just super happy right now."

And we're super happy watching Clarkson cover Eminem again. What a hilarious, terrific rendition!

Life ain't shabby for Kelly Clarkson these days. She's starring on a new reality show, she's dating a guy named Brandon Blackstock and she's shed 30 pounds in the last six months.

How did she accomplish the latter feat?

"I do cardio. I run. I strength-train using my own body weight. I don’t like free weights because I build muscle easily," Clarkson says in the latest issue of Redbook. "Really, what I try to instill in my fans is to be healthy and happy. I have no desire to be super-skinny."

Among other topics touched on by Kelly in the interview:

Why is she appearing on Duets? I’m going to be completely honest: I had no one looking out for me [on American Idol]. They were looking out for the show, and it was horrible. I was 19 years old. I was smart enough to know that it wasn’t about me, but that didn’t make it any easier. I’m all cried out about it, but my first four years, I hated my life; I almost quit a dozen times.

On actually being happy: I know, where’s the kick in the ass? I told my assistant that today. I said, “I’m just waiting for something to blow up.” She said, “No, that’s what happiness is.” I’m like, maybe I’ve never been happy! Because Brandon does, he makes me happy.

Kelly Clarkson has insisted for a long time now that she isn't a lesbian, she's just never been in love with a man.

And now, after gushing to a Toronto radio station on March 6 that she has a "new boyfriend," Clarkson truly has the chance to put the gay chatter to rest.

Sources confirm to Us Weekly that the original American Idol is dating Brandon Blackstock, the 35-year old stepson of Reba McEntire and a Nashville-based talent manager. He's also the son of Clarkson's own manager.

"Before Brandon, Kelly had a really tough time with love," an insider claims. "[Brandon] is just what she needed."

Good. The talented singer deserves all the happiness she can get. Treat her well, Mr. Blackstock!
