Last night on The Bachelor saw four women punch their tickets to hometown dates, while we wanted to punch Brad Womack for his inability to emote. At all.

In fairness, he did open up to Emily a bit, and it did take some inner strength to "break protocol" for the women ... but seriously, lighten up, Jake. Er, Brad.

How did last night play out? Who's going on hometown dates and saying the word hometown 47 times in the process? Here's THG's trademark +/- recap!

Brad Womack: Bachelor

The first of three one-on-one dates went to Emily Maynard. It started slowly, but Brad did open up and tell her that she's getting a rose at the ceremony. Plus 10.

Give him credit for breaking that rule (no roses were to be doled out on dates). But Minus 6 for calling her daughter Rickie the biggest "thing" in her life. Thing?

Shawntel Newton just flies under the radar. Odd, since she's a mortician. There's just nothing about her to dislike ... or to make you think she has a chance. Even.

Back to his rule-breaking ways, Brad gives Britt the ax in mid-date, sending her off the yacht on a dinghy! Then she has to pack in front of the other girls! Plus 7.

Michelle: "I do NOT want to go on a date with you guys." Whack job. Minus 3.

Brad Womack has played the role of a commitment-phone turned "changed man" well on this season of The Bachelor, his second in the starring capacity.

But if the Texan does get down on one knee and propose to Chantal O'Brien, Emily Maynard, Ashley Hebert or Michelle Money, it won't be the first time.

At least according to Laurel Kagay, his on-off girlfriend of eight years. She tells Us that Brad asked to marry her several times - including last summer!

Brad's Double Life

DOUBLE LIFE: Laurel raises some pretty serious questions if what she says about Brad is true. But was there even any deception involved on his part?

"Even when we weren't together, he'd say how much he loved me and was going to marry me," says Laurel, noting that Brad proposed right before The Bachelor.

After spending the summer trying to woo her back, making comments to the effect of "I will marry you right now," he left to star on the ABC show a second time.

THG NOTE: If Laurel Kagay looks familiar, it's because she also dated Wes Hayden, and was his rumored "girl back home" while he was on The Bachelorette.

In a cross-promotional effort somewhere between awesome and terrible, Monday's episode of The Bachelor will feature a date with Brad Womack in which three of the remaining ladies will pose for the 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue!

Move over, Brooklyn Decker. Make room for Ashley Hebert ...

Don't get us wrong. Ashley, Chantal O’Brien and Michelle Money are all attractive girls worthy of inclusion. But c'mon, we're talking about The Bachelor, people.

The SI swimsuit issue may have jumped the shark with this PR stunt, desperate to make a splash (pun intended) in the Free-Internet-Pics-of-Hot-Girls era.

Nevertheless, you can't deny that Michelle Money, for all her psycho stalker antics, has a ridiculous body she will flaunt in this setting. Chantal isn't far behind.

She may not win the final rose (THG's Bachelor spoilers have a thing or two to say about that), but Michelle Money is definitely the contestant of the year.

Watching the 30-year-old - not 29, not 31 - become more and more unhinged this season has been a treat for The Bachelor viewers ... or just frightening.

Michelle surpassed her own crazy standards on last night's episode, sneaking into Brad Womack's villa, demanding answers and trashing the other girls:

Womack, who's a bit stiff on his best days, was floored when Michelle Money called him out for keeping Chantal O'Brien, one of her top competitors.

She also attempted to swallow his face, complained about not getting enough QT with him and listed the order in which he should eliminate the others.

"You're scaring me," Womack said. He's definitely not alone after this.

We'd consider letting her go via satellite when the time comes, B.

This week's episode of The Bachelor featured a trip to Costa Rica, Michelle upping the crazy to levels we didn't know existed and two more women eliminated.

One of whom we pretty much forgot was still on the show, a sign that it's been a pretty smooth ride for Brad so far. The tough decisions will really begin next week.

How did last night's dates play out? Who went home and who are the final six remaining? Let's break it all down right here in THG's trademark +/- recap!

Brad Womack: Bachelor

Michelle, after Chantal Ohhhh received the first one-on-one date: "All I can do is be myself, be patient, and hope that she gets attacked by monkeys." Plus 8.

Obligatory Bachelor zip line / "take the plunge together" moment! Minus 5.

Chantal O’Brien in a men's white button-down shot? Not so unhot. Plus 12.

The good news about this date, which obviously ended with her getting a rose, was that Brad actually appeared human. The bad news? This is rare. Minus 4.

Monday's episode of The Bachelor featured a dreaded 2-on-1 date, some emotional outbursts, a faux dominatrix and the most lopsided date of all time.

The fifth week of the season felt a bit like filler, or at least like its sole goal was to build tensions and feelings for the final few weeks when it really gets good.

That said, there were memorable moments, good and bad. How did it all play out? Who stayed and who left? Let's break it down in THG's classic +/- recap!

Brad Womack and Emily

Amazing that a NASCAR-themed date was selected.

Shawntel gets the rose on the first solo date, and it's well-earned. The embalmer doesn't get the PR, but she seems very nice and down-to-earth. Plus 9.

Emily Maynard goes on a group date in which they go to a NASCAR track to take laps. Emily's late fiance was a race car driver. Minus 14, Mike Fleiss. Cold.

She handles being jerked around with such grace, though. Plus 10, and Plus 5 more, because Brad seems to empathize and care for her very genuinely.

Brad Womack and Bachelor fans have fallen for Emily Maynard, whose former fiancee, race car driver Ricky Hendrick, died in a plane crash while she was pregnant.

On next week's episode, Emily's moving story will be on display again as their date - surely by pure coincidence - hits close to home at a NASCAR track.

Check out how Emily Maynard reacted to the setting of the group date, and how Brad Womack treated the potentially uncomfortable situation, below:

"I know there has been a lot of talk and concern recently over the upcoming episode of The Bachelor with the NASCAR-themed group date," Emily tells People.

"Although I appreciate everyone's concern, I ask that you reserve judgment until [it airs]. As you'll see, the experience actually helped me gain some closure."

She even had a little fun behind the wheel.

"The first few laps were for Ricky," the Southern Belle said. "And the last lap was for me. And I'm just really ready to move on and find love again."

The Bachelor has been "turned upside down," according to OK!

Sounds like a compelling cover story, except for the fact that:

  1. We already know the scandals in question
  2. They're not even that ridiculous

Still, feel free to believe that "Brad’s love story is in danger of falling apart" and that "he’s the one who might find himself picking up the pieces of a broken heart."

  • Dirty Bachelor Secrets
  • Bachelor Betrayal, Lies, Etc.

The stakes couldn’t be higher, the celeb gossip rag writes, 'cause this time, he found “the one.” But Brad's SHOCKING arrest record may thwart EVERYTHING!

“I had a couple of missteps when I was a teenager - some 20 years ago,” Brad says. “Some claims have been blown out of proportion, but I took responsibility."

As for the cast, they're harboring their own secrets as well ... such as Michelle Money's affair with NBA star Carlos Boozer. Again, not that big of a deal really.

Let's face it, we know all The Bachelor spoilers there are to know, and Brad isn't that interesting otherwise. Nice try, tabloids. Step up your game next week?

Michelle Money is the resident crazy this season on The Bachelor. As is often the case, The Bachelor hasn't figured it out as early as the viewers.

From her phantom injuries to her threats of dropping elbows on Ashley, Michelle's antics comprised a large part of THG's official recap this week.

But at least for the moment, Brad Womack is unfazed. In fact, he's smitten.

SO MONEY: Brad seems to think Michelle is. In a manner of speaking.

We hate to break it to you, Michelle haters. She's not going away anytime soon. Will she make the hometown dates? Read The Bachelor spoilers here if you must.

Excerpts of Brad's reflections on Michelle from this past episode below:

"I wanted to be strong for her. She was a mess at first – so terrified she was crying uncontrollably. I was so proud of her for conquering her fear! She did it!"

"That evening I saw a side to Michelle that I had been waiting to see. She's obviously beautiful but she's also intelligent, mature and an amazing mother."

Last night's episode of The Bachelor was all about facing fears. Or so the cue cards claimed. Who's up to the task and who's packing their bags, ladies?

The fourth installment of the season met its usual quota of tears, catty comments, unintentional comedy and awkwardly-phrased sentences from Brad.

How did it all play out? Let's break it down in THG's classic +/- recap!

Michelle Money Pic

Michelle Money is really coming into her own as an insane contestant.

The episode hilariously opens with Michelle waking up to learn she has a black eye. "I have no idea what happened," she tells Brad. Meghan thinks she's just trying to get attention ... by punching her own face?! Eh, we'll buy it. Plus 10.

Ashley S. couldn't care less how it happened, she just wishes she'd been responsible. "I want to rip her head off," she says. Girl, tone down the crazy. Minus 4.

Off to Catalina with Chantal. Where Kip-Ten fell in love. So poetic. Plus 3.
