Right now, reports state that al-Qaeda is threating a far more beautiful and charitable target: Brangelina.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been shooting the film A Mighty Heart, based on the life of Daniel Pearl, the Wall Street Journal reporter who was killed at the hands of al-Qaeda militants in Pakistan in 2002. Evidently, terrorist losers dont 't like that.

British security experts were flown to Pune earlier this week, after being alerted by neigbouring Pakistan that the couple might be targeted due to the political nature of the film.

After assessing the inputs on from various intelligence agencies, India has provided the couple with Y category security while in Pune, Intelligence Bureau sources said in New Delhi on Thursday. That's a lot tighter security than Laguna Beach sluts place on their special areas.

In the movie, Jolie plays the role of Mariane, the widow of Pearl, who was working on a story on Islamic militancy at the time he was kidnapped. Actor Dan Futtermann will play the role of Daniel. Pitt, 43, makes a cameo in the film.

The Hollywood Gossip obviously wishes safe working conditions for everyone on set. We'd be willing to ship over Whitney Houston if it would distract Osama bin Laden from homicidal rage.

It's not enough that Brad Pitt is incredibly handsome. He also has to remind us of what a good person he can be.

Yesterday, the actor visited the Western India town of Lonavala, where he helped former President Jimmy Carter, his wife Rosalynn and other Habitat for Humanity volunteers build two new houses.

Pitt, who has been in Pune, India, with Angelina Jolie filming A Mighty Heart, arrived around noon.

During his visit, which lasted until sundown, Pitt chatted with the Carters and helped lay cement blocks.

"He was perfectly relaxed and didn't mind being photographed at all," local reporter Pranjal Bhujan told People magazine. "He did everything â€" he mixed the cement, carried it to the house, laid it on the bricks and then placed the bricks on the wall that was being built."

And all lazy Oprah Winfrey can do it hand out charitable gift cards. Sheesh.

Pitt also spoke with Aziz and Sadhiya Sheikh, who will own one of the houses he worked on â€" although Sadhiya Sheikh later told reporters she had never heard of the actor.

But her husband, a taxi driver was familiar with all the recent coverage of Brangelina in Pune.

"I know he is the famous American actor," Aziz said. "I was excited and honored that he and Mr. Carter were helping to build my house."

Pitt and Carter also helped out on a house for rickshaw driver Dev Aggarwal and his wife, who is seven months pregnant.

"I didn't know who Pitt was, but to have a famous man visiting your house is an auspicious sign with a baby on the way. It means good things are going to come," Aggarwal told reporters.

These people probably haven't heard of Brooke Hogan, either. Gosh, they're lucky.

Reps for Brad Pitt are seeking trespassing charges against E! Networks after a producer and cameraman allegedly walked onto the actor's property in the Hollywood Hills last week.

"Yes, we have filed trespassing charges against E! and are exploring our legal options against both the crew that actually trespassed and the network itself," Pitt's peeps told People magazine.

A Los Angeles police spokesperson says the incident is still under investigation. Hilary Duff, meanwhile, probably wishes a cable network - and not a crazy old man - was the one stalking her.

E!, of course, is denying any intentional wrongdoing. But so is Anna Nicole Smith. Sometimes, it's best to just come clean.

"E! Networks did not instruct or authorize anyone working on its program to improperly intrude onto private property, and the individuals involved have been terminated.

While neither Mr. Pitt nor his family were at the property when the incident took place, the network in no way condones or encourages such behavior and would like to offer its most sincere apologies to Mr. Pitt and his family."

We'll have to see how Shiloh and Zahara respond. They've not very forgiving tykes.

On screen, that is.

The former lovers will reunite for an upcoming movie, as Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow make their first film together since Se7en.

The couple - who were together for three years and were engaged to be married - will star in Dirty Tricks about the life of former American president Richard Nixon. (You thought it was about Dustin Diamond, admit it.)

The film - which also stars Sharon Stone, Meryl Streep, Jim Broadbent, Annette Bening, and Jill Clayburgh - will cover the Watergate scandal during which Martha Mitchell, played by Streep, blew the whistle on her husband - Nixon chief of staff, John Mitchell.

Paltrow will play Maureen Dean, the wife of John Dean who, stood by her man as the Nixon team went down in scandal.

It is not yet known what Brad's part will be. Or if Angelina Jolie is jealous of the pairing. But we doubt it. That woman exudes confidence.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will settle for being charitable.

The couple has made a $100,000 donation to the Daniel Pearl Foundation in memory of the American journalist who was kidnapped and eventually killed in Pakistan in February of 2002.

The gift, made through the recently formed Jolie-Pitt Foundation, was presented on Tuesday, which would have been the late Wall Street Journal reporter's 43rd birthday.

"On this day our thoughts go out to Danny's family," Pitt and Jolie said in an exclusive statement released by their rep, Trevor Neilson, to People magazine. "The Daniel Pearl Foundation is celebrating this day, his birthday, with music festivals around the world. The festivals are a great reminder of not just Danny's work as a journalist but of his life and his love of music."

Pitt and Jolie arrived last week in Pune, India, to film the Pearl biopic, A Mighty Heart, based on the book written by the journalist's widow, Mariane Pearl, whom Jolie portrays in the film.

At the time of his death, Pearl was investigating links between the terrorist group Al Qaeda and Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence.

We hope other celebrities follow the lead of Brangelina and donate funds to the cause; they would be far better used than your waste of talent, Lindsay Lohan.

It's not enough that Maddox Jolie-Pitt plays soccer. His dad wants him to be the best.

Reportedly, the adorable tyke's pop, Brad Pitt, is hoping to land a rather experienced, handsome tutor to assist Maddox with his dribbling and shooting.

Reports out of the UK say that Pitt has asked the soccer superstar to give his adopted son some one-on-one lessons on the pitch.

Maddox is already enrolled at Beckham's Soccer Academy in LA. Will the British star accept the American actor's request? Probably. Unless he's too busy staring at his wife's boobs.

What would threaten such a pretty paradise? Reports that Brad Pitt wants another child ... NOW! Rumors are circulating that Pitt wants to impregnante his girlfriend again soon.

"Brad wants another child, preferably a boy â€" but he wants a biological boy," said a Page Six source. "He is adamant and wants her to get pregnant again right away."

Angelina Jolie, on the other hand, isn't anxious to fire up her baby maker at the moment.

The actress would consider adopting once more, but is also on schedule for a hectic working year, with at least three films on tap.

Right now, the Brangelina brood conists of two adopted children, Maddox and Zahara, and one biological kid, Shiloh Nouvel.

Insiders and sources are talking (anonymously, of course),a nd you know damn well that T.H. Gossip is there when that happens... especially when peeps are talking about Tom Cruise.

The word on the street is that Paramount, which recently fired its golden boy Cruise for his alleged insanity, is gunning for Brad Pitt to take over for Tom in the next installment of the Mission: Impossible dynasty.

At least, that's what various reports say that various other reports in London's Daily Mail, the Evening Standard, the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Bipolar Times (which covers Cruise's career) are saying.

Brad apparently would not play Tom's Ethan Hunt character.

"They're set on Brad taking over as a gutsy new head operative who puts together his own unique team of specialists," the Daily Mail quotes an anonymous insider as saying.

Ethan would be retired off to some sunny isle with his new wife, leaving Shiloh's pop to fight bad guys and pull off some stunts so crazy, you'd swear they were... impossible? Anyway, Paramount is reportedly being real gutsy by offering Brad $39 million for the flick.

We haven't crunched the numbers, but that's got to be more than enough for Brangelina to travel to Ghana or somewhere and adopt a host of new children. Or purchase Ghana.
