After weeks of blind auditions, sudden-death battle rounds, instant elimination knockouts and live playoffs, Season 4 of The Voice has come down to this.

Only 12 contestants remain, with 10 spots to fill and no margin for error.

The competition heated up quickly ... and LITERALLY in some cases!

Team Shakira shocked fans when she chose the Backstreet Boys' “I Want It That Way” for Garrett Gardner to sing, but the guy did a nice job with it.

The Top 12 finalists have been announced on The Voice.

Monday, Team Usher and Team Adam squared off. Tuesday, it was Team Blake and Team Shakira. Four members per team, vying for three spots.

Who earned them after America selected two from each squad, and the coaches each selected one more to advance to the Top 12 show next Monday?

Right off the bat, Carson Daly announced there were inconsistencies in the voting, and that votes via text and online were not included in the voting results.

The Voice continued its live playoff rounds Tuesday night with performances by the four surviving members each from Team Blake and Team Shakira.

On Monday, Teams Usher and Adam showed their stuff. Tonight, it was on to their competitors' rosters, with elimination on the line Wednesday night.

America will choose two of the four members of each team to advance, and the coaches will each pick one more, cutting the field down to 12 tonight.

Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton are on the rocks again, according to a new report, and Sheryl Crow's guest role on The Voice may be to blame.

“Despite being married, Miranda and Blake are like ships passing in the night,” a National Enquirer source says of the problems they're having.

“Between their touring schedules and public appearances, they’re actually together only about 50 days a year. That’s no way to run a marriage."

"Suspicions and jealousies creep up between them.”

Speaking of jealousies, Blake's decision to have Sheryl Crow come on The Voice as his team's guest mentor has further caused a rift with Miranda.

After getting underway Monday, The Voice battle round continued last night with an epic vocal throwdown - and steal showdown involving the loser.

Blake Shelton paired Caroline Glaser, 18, and Danielle Bradbery, 16, together for a rendition of "Put Your Records On" by Corinne Bailey Rae.

In doing so, he virtually assured neither would go home.

Blake ultimately picked Bradbery, telling the youngster as only he can, "I don't know what your parents are feeding you, but I want a big loaf of that."

"Your natural singing ability really blows my mind."
