The Voice Season 7 Episode 8 saw the Battle Rounds continue as the judges pit their treasure trove of talent against each other with only room for one to advance.

Well, unless the coaches' steal comes into play, that is.

On the previous installment, three defeated singers profiled on The Voice Season 7 Episode 7 ended up being snapped up, which does make some sense.

The show has an incentive to air the best of the battles, which feature two singers with the skills to move on. Yet it takes away from a little bit of the finality.

Would Episode 8 be the same? Let's find out ...

The Voice Season Seven Coaches

Jordy Searcy vs. Taylor Phelan (Team Pharrell): Williams, along with Alicia Keys, focused on coaxing emotional performances in "Breakeven (Falling to Pieces)."

It worked. The only problem was the big decision.

Looking agonized, Pharrell ultimately chose Phelan for "the ambition he sings with, [which was] communicated very well to the audience and the world."

Alessandra Castronovo vs Joe Kirk (Team Adam): Speaking of emoting, Levine asked the two young singers to battle it out on "Stay" by Rihanna.

They delivered when it counted and then some.

In a difficult decision, Levine ultimately chose Castronovo, which left the ousted Kirk, who was nervous and who Blake and Pharrell had praised, crying.

Williams graciously walked him out and shared an exchange that tugged at the heartstrings. "Keep going," Williams said. "If you stop now, then 'no' was right."

Beth Spangler vs. Mia Pfirrman (The Voice Battle Round)
Beth Spangler and Mia Pfirrman give their best to a battle duet on Christina Aguilera's "I Turn to You."

Menlik Zergabachew vs. Tony Ritchie (Team Gwen): With husband Gavin Rossdale on board her advisor, Gwen had the two do a reggae version of "Maneater."

Blake declared the result "the best battle of the day as far as I'm concerned," while Stefani said "I wish I could put you guys in a blender and make one person."

The show will keep both. Gwen ultimately chose Ritchie, which prompted both Levine and Williams to quickly hit their buttons to try and steal Zergabachew.

Williams said he loves working with singers who look different than they sound, and ended up with the services of Menlik when the Knockout Round begins.

The Voice Season 7 Episode 7 began the fall's epic Battle Rounds with contestants dueling it out for survival, with everything at stake in mano a mano music duels.

Let's break down Monday night's six battles, the victors, the vanquished and the stolen (the judges can grab defeated singers, two apiece, in this round) below ...

The Voice Coaches: Season 7

Sugar Joans vs. Jean Kelley (Team Gwen): They were mostly in tune, but these two girls struggled to harness the gravitas of Destiny's Child's girl power anthem.

Who was the "Survivor" of this battle? Sugar, who delivered a marginally stronger vocal performance. Jean, though was snapped up by Pharrell in a surprise move!

Chris Jamison vs. Jonathan Wyndham (Team Adam): Adam’s decision was an easy one here, as Jonthan wilted on his upper register. Chris moves on.

Taylor John Williams vs. Amanda Lee Peers (Team Gwen): Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” led to a bit of a surprise result as Amanda looked to be the stronger singer.

On The Voice Season 7 Episode 5, more aspiring singers competed for an elusive spot on Teams Adam, Blake, Gwen and Pharrell as the Blind Auditions ended.

Who made the final cut to advance to the next round?

Matt McAndrew - A Thousand Years (The Voice Audition)
Music teacher Matt McAndrew spins three coaches with his audition song, "A Thousand Years."

Matt McAndrew, who works at a grocery store and teaches voice lessons, showed us why on "A Thousand Years" and ended up on Team Adam as a result!

Brittany Butler, turned heads, and chairs, with her smooth, jazz-infused take on "The Girl From Ipanema" and chose Team Pharrell over a disappointed Gwen.

Ryan Sill took on OneRepublic's hit "Secrets" and watched Gwen and Blake battled it out for his services before choosing his shiny Team Gwen shirt.

Fernanda Bosch, who's just 17, opted for "I Try” by Macy Gray, and it was good enough for two chairs to turn around. She'll be on Team Blake this fall.

Beth Spangler, a radiographer at a hospital, was electric with her performance of "Best Thing I Never Had," earning her pick of coaches and going with Adam!

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are back in the tabloid news again, amid reports saying they're leading separate lives and are on shaky ground as a couple.

Sources tell In Touch that all the time they've spent apart, combined with lingering trust and lifestyle issues, have taken a toll on their three-year marriage.

“They’re barely together,” a source said, fearing the worst for the couple.

“Miranda is worried that if this keeps up, they’ll continue to grow apart.”

It sounds like a typical case of tour buses passing in the night, so to speak.

Or literally. Their tours recently headed opposite ways on the same road!

Shelton, 38, is in his element in Hollywood these days, much more than you might guess. He's on Season 7 of The Voice and clearly loves the gig.

Miranda, 30, prefers life at their Oklahoma home when she's not touring.

Gwen, Pharrell, Adam and Blake were back at it for another evening of spaceship-chair-turning insanity on The Voice Season 7 Episode 4 Tuesday night.

What contestants impressed them enough to land a spot on one of their rosters in this season's fourth Blind Auditions love-fest? Let's take a look, shall we?

Toia Jones - One and Only (The Voice Auditon)
Toia Jones' audition for The Voice, in which she sang "One and Only," was epic.

Toia Jones, with a powerful rendition of “One and Only,” landed on Team Pharrell, and her tone, talent and personality could make her one of the season's gems.

Somehow, this girl was only a two-chair turn, but watch out for this one.

Chris Jamison, whose take on John Mayer's “Gravity” earned him a spot on Team Adam despite Levine's comment that Chris did too much with his voice, was impressive.

He's got a great back story and good looks to go along with talent, too.

Amanda Lee Peers' spin on “Put the Gun Down” won her a shirt from Team Gwen, who was surprisingly the only person to turn around. But it only takes that many.

On The Voice Season 7 Episode 3, more aspiring singers left their hearts on the stage as they vied for spots on one of the four celebrity coaches' rosters.

The Blind Auditions continued (as we were reminded constantly on screen with the random #BlindsContinue Twitter hashtag) on Monday, with a twist:

One of the contestants was actually blind!

Blessing Offor - Just the Two of Us (The Voice Audition)
Blind since childhood, Blessing Offor can't see that his soulful blind audition, "Just the Two of Us," has all four coaches turned around to see him.

Blessing Offor was a bit uneven through the first two-thirds of “Just the Two of Us,” but his charisma and raw talent got all four chairs to turn.

He was a Blessing to watch on TV, with his positivity as well as his take on the classic song, but he has work to do when he joins Team Pharrell.

Meanwhile Jessie Pitts' rendition of “The Story” earned a spot on Team Gwen, although like Blessing, it's unclear if this is flash in the pan or next level talent.

Ricky Manning, who sang “Love Me Again,” joins Blessing on Team Pharrell, which is quickly becoming the Island of Misfit Toys of aspiring vocalists.

On The Voice Season 7 Episode 2, more aspiring singers battled for spots on one of the celebrity coaches' rosters, showcasing their unique vocal stylings.

As we saw on The Voice Season 7 Episode 1 the night before, no one who tries out for this show is bad in the least, but it's still tough to make it through.

While Adam Levine and Blake Shelton have multiple titles and have the experience, Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani totally know what they're doing.

Here's a look at who earned a spot on one of the fab four's respective rosters ...

Maiya Sykes - Stay With Me (The Voice Audition)
Maiya Sykes has four coaches turned around after her blind audition take on "Stay With Me."

Mayia Sykes got everyone to turn around with "Stay with Me" within moments, giving her the choice of whichever coach she wanted. Pharrell Williams got the nod!

Joining Mayia on Team Pharrell will be DaNica Shirey, the mother of an adorable 4-year-old who shared her emotional story about losing her father to cancer.

She stunned the judges with a performance of "Big White Room," but went with Pharrell over Gwen and Adam. Taylor Phelan, and his take on "Sweater Weather," will join them!

Joe Kirk got Adam and Gwen to turn almost immediately for his cover of “Lego House,” followed by Blake and Pharrell! However, Adam won him over and won his services.

The Voice Season 7 Episode 1 introduced us to two new celebrity coaches, along with the first crop of singers vying for a spot on NBC via the Blind Auditions.

As always, auditioning blind meant not only vying for a spot on the show if you're the singer, but competing for a singer if you're one of the coaches!

If multiple coaches turned around, it was up to the people auditioning to make their choice, leading to a lot of witty banter as well as some tense moments.

Here's a look at the would-be contenders and how they fared:

Luke Wade - That's How Strong My Love Is (The Voice Audition)
Luke Wade wows The Voice coaches with a stirring and talented rendition of "That's How Strong My Love Is."

Luke Wade, a soul singer who has traveled the world with his band for the past several years, wowed all of the judges with his version of “How Strong My Love Is.”

He ended up going with Pharrell over each of the other three.

Clara Hong, meanwhile, got Gwen to get up on stage with her and sing, which is almost as amazing as the fact that she ended up picking Adam after that!

Now THIS is how you promote a new season of The Voice!

On The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon yesterday, returning coach Blake Shelton and new coach Gwen Stefani stopped by to engage the host in an epic battle of lip syncing.

How did they fare when compared with past lip syncing champion Emma Stone? Pretty darn well, especially when you consider that Shelton tap-danced and the two stars sang a duet to "Endless Love."

Fallon held his own as well, of course, really getting into a version of "Burn" by Ellie Goulding and even ending his performance with a prop.

So... who came out on top of this memorable battle? Watch and find out now!

The Voice Season 7 premieres Monday on NBC.
