"I'm a song man," Cyrus said. "I come from the old school where it starts with an artist and a song...colliding if you will...in a moment where the song, the singer, the producer, the band and the listener become one."

Well, sure. Of course. Preach on, Billy Ray...

Billy Ray Cyrus does not believe Miley Cyrus is espousing date rape.

Nor would he label her a pitchy stripper.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, two days after Miley shocked the world with a raunchy VMA performance, the country star said he'll "always be here" for his daughter and added:

"She's still my little girl and I'm still her dad regardless how this circus we call show business plays out. I love her unconditionally and that will never change."

The photo made it clear, but a statement has made it official.

A day after Tish Cyrus posted a picture of herself and her believed-to-be estranged husband, the couple has released a statement that confirms its divorce has been called off.

Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish

“We both woke up and realized we love each other and decided we want to stay together," Billy Ray said. "We both went into couples therapy, something we haven’t done in 22 years of being together, and it’s brought us closer together and really opened up our communication in amazing ways."

Tish filed for a legal split in June, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the basis for their split.

Miley Cyrus' parents, Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus, have canceled their plans to divorce and are now back together once again, according to E! News.

Tish filed for divorce from Billy Ray in June, but they have since salvaged the marriage. They cited good, old-fashioned couples therapy for working it out.

"I spoke to Tish and she told me they both woke up and realized they love each other and decided they want to stay together," E!'s Ken Baker said.

Baker, a family friend, elaborated further on the couple's reconciliation:

"They recently went into couples therapy, something they hadn't done in 22 years, and it's brought them closer together and really opened up their communication."

We know Miley Cyrus can Twerk.

But now we also now she can tweak. Her dad, that is. In a big, threatening way.

The singer posted a mysterious message on Twitter last night, addressing Billy Ray and writing: "Since you won't reply to my texts I'm giving you an hour to tell the truth or ill tell it for you."

She included with the Tweet the following photo of herself alongside an unidentified woman:

Cyrus then deleted the cryptic warning and implied her account was hacked.

"Wtf? My twitter was just actin all types of cray!" she wrote.

Miley Cyrus' parents, Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus, are divorcing. Tish cited "irreconcilable differences" in her official paperwork, filed this week.

They've been married for 19 years, and have five children together, including Miley. There's only one minor child left, Noah Cyrus, who is 13.

Billy Ray filed for divorce from Tish three years ago, but eventually dropped the petition in an attempt to work things out, which it appeared they had.

This time, it was his better half who filed. She is asking for full physical and legal custody of Noah, with visitation rights granted to Billy Ray.

Tish is also seeking spousal support and attorney's fees.

How's Miley handling it? Earlier today, she tweeted at her old man: "Since your texts and email obviously aren't working would you like to talk like this?"

So, apparently not well.

Incidentally, Billy Ray strongly suggested that their previous marital strife was caused by Miles' fame. It's not clear what prompted this split or if it'll take.

Last week, anonymous sources wondered whether Miley Cyrus would marry Liam Hemsworth.

But now a rather important named source has come out and publicly asked the same question.

In an interview with Nightline, Billy Ray Cyrus is asked about the romantic future of his daughter. And he doesn't exactly give Miley and Liam a strong vote of confidence.

Miley Cyrus enjoyed a family reunion of sorts on Sunday night.

The singer and three of her siblings (Braison, Brandi and Noah) joined parents Billy Ray and Tish backstage at New York City's Ambassador Theater, where Billy Ray is starring in the Broadway musical Chicago.

The members don't see a lot of each other, but at least things are looking up after Billy Ray rambled last year about Miley being attacked by Satan.

So glad to be back with my daddy (@billyraycyrus) for the first time in 3 MONTHS!! He was so great on broadway," Tweeted Noah, while Miley added:

"What a dope morning. So many fans outside my hotel this a.m. in NYC. If there's this much chaos NOW imagine when I drop this record! #ohsnap."

Yup, a new Miley Cyrus album is on the way, fans. Get excited.

"Liam asked if he could have my daughter's hand in marriage, and I said yes if I could be in his brother's next movie," Billy Ray said, referring to Chris Hemsworth and his very successful run of Thor, The Avengers and Cabin in the Woods.

Billy Ray Cyrus no longer believes his daughter is under attack by Satan.

The country singer actually thinks his 19-year old offspring is doing better than ever, in fact, telling Entertainment Tonight Canada on Wednesday:

"She and I always had a mantra and the mantra was: if you ain't happy, it ain't working. As long as [Miley's] happy right now, life is good!"
