Seeing Beyonce pregnant, with the conception confirmed live by the singer herself, sent the Twitterverse into an absolute frenzy at the MTV VMAs Sunday.

During her performance of “Love on Top,” Beyoncé declared “I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside of me!” and rubbed her belly on stage.

That convergence of events broke Twitter records.

Pregnant Beyonce Picture

A staggering 8,868 Tweets were sent per second about Beyonce and her growing baby bump, according to a spokesman for the social networking site.

Before B, the highest number of Tweets posted per second was during the women’s soccer World Cup earlier this summer between Japan and America this summer, during which an average 7,196 Tweets were posted per second.

Basically, Beyonce is bigger than the World Cup, Not surprising.

Beyonce is pregnant, but that isn't about to stop the singing sensation from paying respects to the late Michael Jackson October 8 in Wales.

She'll perform live at his tribute concert then ... via satellite.

Reps for the controversial concert have confirmed that Beyonce is still slated to sing, saying the "pregnancy will not affect her performance."

Pregnant Beyonce

Beyonce is rumored to be nearing the four-month mark in her pregnancy.

If that's true, she'll be around 5-6 months along when she performs her favorite Jackson 5 song for the concert honoring the late King of Pop.

They say women who were physically active before pregnancy should be good to continue with moderate exercise throughout the pregnancy.

Most women aren't powerhouse performers like Beyonce Knowles, though ... nor are they carrying possibly the most talented fetus of all time.

Here's hoping she continues to remain in perfect health!

First, Beyonce showed off her baby bump. Then, she took to the stage at the VMAs last night and showed off her unmatched talent.

The singer belted out a version of "Love on Top," highlighted by a repetition of the chorus to close the number and then a pregnant pose by the artist. Cut to backstage, where Kanye West congratulated Jay-Z as the crowd went wild and we had a legitimately touching few moments.

Once again, congratulations to this couple. Sit back and watch an expecting Beyonce in action now:

The 2011 MTV Movie Awards got off to a rousing start before Lady Gaga even took the stage tonight: Beyonce revealed a baby bump on the red carpet and her rep later confirmed:

The singer is pregnant!

The father, of course, is husband Jay-Z, as the couple wed in 2008. Earlier this summer, Beyonce told Piers Morgan about her plans for parenthood and her career.

We wish nothing but the best to this new, growing family!

For Beyonce, 1+1 = me and you. Such is the theme of her latest single.

But in the official, just-released music video for this track, the artist does a bit more addition, as well: sparkles + simplicity = SEXY.

Indeed, there is no fancy choreography here. No backup dancers of any kind, in fact. It's just Beyonce stripping down, singing in her lingerie and going all Edward Cullen on us with some serious sparkles. What else do you need when you look like this and can sing like this?

Is Beyonce truly the second coming of Michael Jackson? That's lofty, unrealistic praise. But, damn, she's talented!

After three years of marriage, Jay-Z and wife Beyonce remain very private, but that doesn't mean he's not willing to gush about her occasionally.

Forget Watch the Throne, his smash, acclaimed new album with Kanye West. In Jay's estimation, the biggest star around is the woman he married.

Why does he liken Beyonce to the greatest entertainer ever?

"What I've learned from her is similar to what I learned from Mike [Jackson] - I know that's blasphemy to compare the two because Mike was such an innovator - but I think she's like the second coming," Jay-Z told Miamia's 99 Jamz.

"You know, the hard work and dedication that she puts into her shows. It just makes you want to work harder at your own craft. She's like a machine."

No question, she's one of the hardest working and most successful figures in music today. Jay-Z knows a once-in-a-generation talent when he sees it.

What do you think? Is Beyonce worthy of MJ comparisons?

You'll never hear Beyonce complaining about her weight or whining for attention. That's because, unlike Khloe Kardashian and so many other celebrities, this star possesses actual talent.

She also has an admirable view on life, telling the latest issue of Complex:

“Whenever I feel bad, I use that feeling to motivate me to work harder. I only allow myself one day to feel sorry for myself. People who complain really get on my nerves. When I’m not feeling my best I ask myself, ‘What are you gonna do about it?’ I use the negativity to fuel the transformation into a better me.”

The artist is in the prime of her career, of course, but she also touches on her legacy in this interview. How does she want to be remembered?

“I just want my legacy to be great music. Someone who was a risk taker and someone who had songs that struck conversation and emotion.”

Go behind the scenes now with Jay-Z's prettier half in this video.

Beyonce gets married, and gets sexy, in her latest music video.

While belting out "Best Thing I Never Had," off the new album "4," the artist acts out a wedding, replete with ceremony and outdoor reception. She also dons some hot lingerie. See for yourself:

The CD, meanwhile, isn't faring too poorly: it hit the top of the charts in America, France, Spain, Switzerland, Singapore, Taiwan, and Great Britain last week, making Beyonce the third singer ever to have her first four studio albums debut at number-one.

Beyonce didn't merely perform a couple tracks at last night's Macy's Fourth of July Spectacular.

She did so in front of the Statue of Liberty, honoring our nation from one of its most iconic spots and belting out versions of "God Bless the USA" and "Best I Never Had."

Fun stuff from Beyonce this week.

The singer, whose new album is now available stores, shocked fans in a Harlem, New York Target yesterday while they were receiving dance lessons from choreographer Frank Gatson. Listen to the screams of the Boys and Girls Club members when she first walks on stage:

Beyonce talked children with Piers Morgan this week and it doesn't sound like she'll be having any soon.

But the footage above makes it clear she'll know what to do with them if that day ever arrives.
