Beyonce performed another emotional version of "I Was Here" over the weekend.

Following the official video for this ballad, which takes fans behind the scenes of the singer's life, along with a 9/11 tribute set to its inspiring words, the artist taped a version at the United Nations in honor of yesterday's World Humanitarian Day.

As described on the occasion's official website, this event is meant to "recognize those who face danger and adversity in order to help others." It coincides with the 2003 bombing of the United Nations headquarters in Baghdad, which killed 22 UN staff.

Watch now and be inspired to help by the charitable, humanitarian efforts depicted below:

Blue Ivy Carter is officially the coolest seven-month-old girl on Earth.

A rare photo of Blue, who came into the world in early January, appears among a set of personal pics just posted online by her mother, Beyonce.

The image shows Beyonce feeding Blue - who's rocking Jay-Z / Kanye West "Watch the Throne" tour T-shirt - a bottle. Pretty adorable stuff:

A special Tumblr page, part of the revamped Beyonce (dot) com, has been featuring many personal and wonderful Beyonce photos since April.

The new image is one of many she's posted from the road, from packed arenas as well as outdoors (some notably in Marfa, Texas of all places).

Follow the above link to check them out, they're great.

A Knowles family feud is reportedly brewing, and it's all over Kim Kardashian.

The singer and the professional celebrity have been spotted out together multiple times over the last couple weeks, appearing to actually enjoy one another's company, and Solange Knowles is far from happy about it.

“In Solange’s eyes, Beyonce is a stand-out star, a premier singer of our time, whereas Kim is just a reality TV star who only got famous after a sex tape was leaked,” a source tells The National Enquirer, pretty much just reciting facts.

Following photos of Kim and Beyonce dancing as a pair at a Kanye West/Jay-Z concert last month, the siblings reportedly got into a blowout.

“[Solange] called Beyonce out on it, and they had a fight over Kim," says the insider. "It culminated with Beyonce telling Solange she can be friends with whomever she wants.”

Kardashian also gave Beyonce a $5,000 bracelet for daughter Blue Ivy recently, one inscribed with "Love Auntie Kim." Even Beyonce thought it was a tad much.

Let there be no doubt now over the biggest Beyonce fan on the planet.

We don't know this young man's name, but a kid has recreated the artist's entire "Countdown" video, shot for shot, move for move... all while donning a Snuggie. For what reason?

Perhaps as an odd tribute to Blue Ivy. All we can say for certain is that the guy has some impressive moves. And maybe too much time on his hands.

The bond between Beyonce and Michelle Obama just grew a little stronger.

In May, the First Lady took her daughters to a Knowles concert, a night out that followed a Tumblr post by Beyonce that praised Obama as "ULTIMATE example of a strong African-American woman."

Obama, in turn, responded to the praise with a Tweet that read: "Thank you for the beautiful letter and for being a role model who kids everywhere can look up to.”

Now, Beyonce has made that letter even more public, posting a video reading of it that serves as a campaign ad for Michelle's husband, given the donation link at the end. Watch now:

Beyoncé is firmly on Team Frank Ocean.

A week after this R&B singer/songwriter publicly shared a homosexual experience from four years ago, Jay-Z's prettier half has penned a poem on her blog in honor of Ocean.

"Be fearless, be honest, be generous," the ode reads. "Be brave, be poetic, be open, be free, be yourself, be in love, be happy, be inspiration."

Ocean Ode

Ocean's latest album, "Channel Orange," debuted on iTunes last night in advance of its July 17 hard-copy release, while the artist made it clear over Twitter that he has no regrets over telling his story.

"I don't have any [secrets] I need kept anymore," he wrote. "To my first love, I'm grateful for you."

Multiple other stars, such as Russell Simmons, have also come out in support of Ocean, though some rapper named Lil Scrappy made headlines last week for all the wrong reasons, thanking Ocean for coming out because he believes homosexuality is the "doorway to AIDS."

Boy band Mindless Behavior flat out dissed Lauryn Hill on live TV last night, and the joke apparently upset Beyonce, one of the 2012 BET Award winners, to the point where she changed her acceptance speech to honor The Fugees singer.

The diss went down womedian Mike Epps and the guys from Mindless Behavior were all getting set to co-present the award for Best R&B Artist.

Mike, who can't carry a tune to save his life, jokingly tried to sing. One of the dudes said, "You sing BAD ... like Lauryn Hill's tax accountant bad."

The zinger, a reference to Lauryn Hill's felony tax evasion case, elicited gasps from the crowd, including Beyonce, who was far from pleased.

Winning the award moments later, Bey said, "I want to thank all the talented R&B women that came before me like Lauryn Hill and Mary J. Blige."

As she walked off stage, she could be heard venting about the insult, saying the dude's Lauryn Hill joke was "disrespectful" and "not cool."

When a BET handler complimented Beyonce's shout-out to the maligned Hill, the "Halo" singer replied, "I just felt [the diss] was wrong."

What do you think of the Lauryn Hill diss?

Michael Jackson died June 25, 2009, or three years ago this week. In a touching tribute to MJ, Beyonce remembers the artist who changed her life forever.

The "Crazy in Love" singer and new mom wrote a touching message on her website about Jackson on Monday, Michael Jackson's death anniversary.

Beyonce, 30, said her first producer had her listen MJ's "Who's Loving You" on repeat. "What he wanted me to learn was his soul," the star recalls.

"You could hear his soul. It's something that's God given."

"For whatever reason he could evoke more emotion than an adult," she went on. "It was these little things he did that were pure swag."

And the mother of Blue Ivy Carter and wife of rapper Jay-Z credits the King of Pop for teaching her that "sometimes you have to forget technique."

"Michael Jackson changed me forever, and helped me to become the artist I am," Beyonce writes, adding simply "Thank you Michael."

Jackson died on June 25, 2009 from an overdose of the anesthetic propofol, given to him by Dr. Conrad Murray. He was only 50 years old.

Blue Ivy Carter is quite the worldly baby.

Beyonce and Jay-Z's little girl, five months, has been named an honorary citizen of the Croatian Island of Hvar, where the pair vacationed last summer.

The tribute stems from a blog post Beyonce posted in March, and from a moment on the island that may well have inspired the little girl's unique name.

Blue Ivy Photo

"We woke up this morning, took a nice little walk, passed by this beautiful blue tree," the then-pregnant Beyonce shared in a video released on her blog.

"I think it's Blue Ivy, which would be quite appropriate!"

Tourism to Hvar has reportedly increased since the clip was posted; the island was even named as Lonely Planet's fifth best vacation destination in 2012.

Major Pjerino Bebic wrote in a letter to the family:

"The story of the origin of the name of your daughter has brought enormous attention and therefore tourist promotion to the town and island of Hvar."

"Because of this, I have decided to confer on your daughter the status of honorary citizen of the town of Hvar."

Congratulations, Blue Ivy!
