Just days after filing for divorce from Jason Hoppy, Bethenny Frankel sat down with Ellen DeGeneres for an interview that airs today and told the host she's going through an "excruciating" time.
"I feel like a failure," Frankel said. "I really put it out there. I wanted the fairytale. I thought I had it. And [my 2-year-old daughter] Bryn is my fairy tale."
Frankel and Hoppy wed in a televised ceremony in 2010, with the former Real Housewives of New York City star admitting:

Having announced a separation over the holidays, the reality star began the divorce process by filing the paperwork earlier this week in New York.
Sources say the Bethenny Frankel divorce will be quick and easy from a legal standpoint, but that doesn't make it any easier to cope with emotionally.
"Bethenny is devastated," a friend tells People.

Cue the insulting, arguing and long-term court drama? Not quite, sources tell In Touch Weekly.
“There will be no fighting” when it comes to custody of daughter Bryn, according to a Bethenny insider. “This won’t be a drawn-out, nasty battle.”

Bethenny Frankel may now be single, but she is far from alone.
Following her separation from Jason Hoppy, which the reality star announced yesterday, the former Real Housewife has taken to Twitter to thank her 1.1 million fans for their support.
"You give me so much love, and I am so grateful," Frankel wrote last night in response to an outpouring from followers. "It feels like your words could get someone through anything."
Bethenny and Jason were married for two-plus years, after meeting in 2008 and having their relationship chronicled on Bravo's Bethenny Getting Married.

Despite many denials in the past, Bethenny Frankel has now come out and admitted the unfortunate truth:

"It brings me great sadness to say that Jason and I are separating," the reality star said in a statement. "This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family.
"We have love and respect for one another and will continue to amicably co-parent our daughter who is and will always remain our first priority. This is an immensely painful and heartbreaking time for us."
Bethenny Frankel isn't "Hoppy" with husband Jason apparently.
Frankel always butts heads with Jason Hoppy on Bravo's Bethenny Ever After, but the reality is now worse than anything we've seen on the reality show.
"Things have gotten even more strained," says a pal.
The arguments have become so heated, they're increasingly spending time apart. "They're fighting a lot," adds the friend, noting that the discord is worsening.
Bethenny Frankel is taking pleasure in the pains of others.
Unable to stop talking about her supposed marriage difficulties with Jason Hoppy, the talk show host tells In Touch that she's grateful that the public breakups of other couples has diverted media attention.
"It’s about Tom and Katie and Rob and Kristen," the former Real Housewife tells the tabloid. "So they’re off of me right now!"
This may be the first time in history that Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy have been compared to Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
“It can be rough. It’s like anything else, you can have good days and bad days,” Bethenny added of her relationship. “Some days it can be brutal and you don’t want to talk about it or hear about it, and other days it’s light and bright. It’s the nature of the game.”

Does anyone out there care?
Let's give Bethenny Frankel a little bit of credit.
She may exploit her personal problems for professional ratings, but at least the reality star is somewhat up front about them. She isn't blaming divorce chatter on anonymous sources or misguided tabloid stories.
In the latest issue of People, Frankel admits that, yes, she and husband Jason Hoppy have suffered through many ups and downs. Their union is far from perfect.
"We've been scared. The second year of marriage was not easy," Bethenny tells the magazine. "We hit bottom, [but] we came out the other side."
Frankel and Hoppy's issues were on full display for most of Bethenny Ever After, the celebrity's follow-up to The Real Housewives of New York City.
But now that she's away from those programs - "I'm done with putting my personal life and family on reality television... Enough about me," Frankel says - Bethenny believes the future is bright.
"I think we have what it takes to make it work. I don't have a backup plan. It's not like shopping for shoes and getting a new pair. That's not what it's about."
Olivia Munn may play a financial reporter on The Newsroom and she may have let the men of Magic Mike carry the pole-dancing baton in that movie, but the beauty proved on Bethenny this week that she has a few hot moves of her own.
Sort of.
Challenged to show off her stripper-like moves, Munn joked around on the pole more than she actually attempted to seduce. She then turned the apparatus over to the irritating host. Watch them both in action now:
