In what will likely be one of the fall's most buzzed-about films, Gone Girl hits theaters October 3rd.

Rosamund Pike, Gone Girl's Amy Dunne, recently became one of the latest stars to speak out about the film when she landed the cover of W Magazine.

As a fan of the book, Pike looks exactly like the Amy Dunne in my mind. EXACTLY.

Pike reportedly beat out stars like Charlize Theron and Natalie Portman in the dark and sinister role of Amy, a city girl whose marriage begins to crumble when she follows her writer-husband home to Missouri after losing his job.

David Fincher made an excellent choice in going with a star previously known for her work as a supporting actress because that just helps to add mystery to the character.

"I liked that people didn't immediately know who Rosamund was," Fincher stated. "I'd always liked Rosamund in movies, but I didn't really know her. That made her very interesting."

Ahhh, siblings. You can't live with them, you can't kill them.

KIDDING!

Today is National Siblings Day! The other day a year we pretend to like our built-in best friends because social media tells us to. (The first day is Christmas, because presents, obvs.)

In honor of National Siblings Day, which is probably a totally made up day created by someone attempting to bury the hatchet with a brother or sister by publicly professing that Imma let you finish by my sibling is the best sibling ever, our celebrity gossip editors thought it would be grand to take a look at some of our favorite star siblings:

From the fabulous to the feuding to the famewhores, Hollywood is rife with celebrity siblings. Now to decide if you and your siblings are more or less dysfunctional than they are.

In Runner, Runner, when a poor college student who cracks an online poker game goes bust, he arranges a face-to-face with the man he thinks cheated him.

Yes … it's an offshore gambling thriller, fans!

While the premise is different and the star power is present - Justin Timberlake and a big, bad Ben Affleck - is the movie, opening this weekend, worth seeing?

Depends who you ask and what you're after.

Unlike the nearly universally positive Gravity reviews, Runner, Runner is more of a mixed bag with critics. Here's a glance at what some of them say ...

"How blandly by-the-numbers is Runner Runner? When it’s time for a hot sex scene with Timberlake’s ambitious Richie Furst and Rebecca (Gemma Arterton), his boss’s luscious second-in-command, the encounter is as charmless and chemistry-free as the wooden banter that has led up to it. I’ve had dentist’s appointments that were sexier. - Boston Globe

Ben Affleck thought he could handle it. He thought he'd be okay.

He was wrong.

The actor appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Monday and said he was warned about the backlash over his Batman casting, with the studio telling him "Just don’t use the Internet for a couple of days."

But "I handle sh-t!'” Affleck asserted, only to then realize just how negative that "sh-t" actually became, as he explains in this footage:

Of course, the criticism has now moved from Affleck as Batman to Charlie Hunnam as Christian Grey.

Ever since the casting of Ben Affleck as Batman shocked the world last Thursday, fans have either been grumbling about it or meme-ing it to death.

Except YouTube user soylentbrak1, who has been hard at work envisioning what a Man of Steel sequel starring Ben Affleck as Batman would look like.

The result was this fan-made trailer, also starring Breaking Bad Emmy-winner Bryan Cranston as Lex Luthor and Henry Cavill again as Superman.

Check it out below and see if it changes your views on Ben as Bruce Wayne:

There isn't much plot in this Man of Steel 2 trailer, besides the mention of a mysterious corporate merger and some tension between Superman and Batman.

Given that it's not a real trailer, however, it's pretty top notch.

Once again, Internet, like your issue with a censored kangaroo photo, please chill out.

A petition on Change.org is calling on Warner Bros. to reverse its decision and remove Ben Affleck as Batman, citing such problems with the actor as his Boston accent, his puny physique and his lack of intimation.

In part, the message reads:

Ben Affleck in a Hat

His acting skill is not even close to being believable as Bruce Wayne and he won't do the role justice. He's not built, nor is he intimidating enough for the role of Batman. His portrayal of Daredevil was atrocious and he's not remotely close to an action star. Please find someone else.

The petition already have 10,000 signatures, while The White House's petition system has also fielded a request... to make it ILLEGAL for Affleck to don the famous cape and cod piece.

For real.

What do YOU think? Is this an overreaction? Sound off now: Is Ben Affleck a good choice as Batman?

Not everyone is enthralled by the casting of Ben Affleck as Batman.

The Oscar winner has officially been cast as the Caped Crusdar in the wildly anticipated Man of Steel sequel.

He will star opposite Henry Cavill as Superman and, well, let's just say that a couple blots on Affleck's resume have some Twitters users concerned. Some famous Twitter users, no less, who took to the social network to react to the news...

... and made us laugh pretty hard in the process.

It's unexpected, but it's true: Ben Affleck is the new Batman.

With the movie world still reeling from this announcement, and with Affleck set to costar alongside Henry Cavill in 2015's Man of Steel sequel, Zack Snyder has issued a statement that confirms the news.

It reads:

“Ben provides an interesting counter-balance to Henry’s Superman. He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne. I can’t wait to work with him.”
