Jamie Foxx sparked controversy by calling President Obama "our Lord and Savior" at the 2012 Soul Train Awards, prompting backlash from at least one group.

The show was televised Sunday night but was taped in Las Vegas a few days after the 2012 election. Take a look at Foxx's out-of-this-world praise for the Prez:

The president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights in the United States, Bill Donahue, released a statement regarding the actor's comment:

Ah, Hank Williams Jr.

Guy really needs to join fellow musicians Ted Nugent and Dave Mustaine on a Anti-Obama Conspiracy Tour 2012. The sound bites would be incredible.

At his concert Friday night at the Iowa State Fair - where Obama bought beers earlier in the week - Williams absolutely laid into the President on stage.

What did he say, exactly?

  • Obama Speech

Following Williams' song "We Don’t Apologize For America” a chant of “U-S-A, U-S-A, U-S-A” broke out amongst the crowd, according to the Des Moines Register.

Hank told the crowd he was their mouthpiece, and said, “We’ve got a Muslim president who hates farming, hates the military, hates the US and we hate him!”

The cheers that followed were loud and enthusiastic.

A hard-line Republican, Williams was fired by ESPN last fall after dropped after he made similarly offensive comments about President Obama last year.

Amazingly, Hank's belief that Barack is Muslim (he's Christian) is only the second most absurd thing we've heard a musician say about him this week.

Did you guys know Obama staged the Aurora shooting?!?

Brad Pitt has been a vocal advocate for gay rights, so it came as a bit of a surprise to learn that his mom write an editorial in her local Missouri newspaper that supports presidential candidate Mitt Romney's conservative views on homosexuality.

Springfield's News-Leader confirms that the author is Brad's mom.

Jane Pitt's letter was primarily penned to express support for Romney, in response to a previous News-Leader editorial urging readers to shun the Republican's bid to unseat President Barack Obama because of his Mormon beliefs.

In her response, which was published on Tuesday, she wrote:

"I think any Christian should spend much time in prayer before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is Mormon."

"Anyone who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney’s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama - a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for years and did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer."

Obama, she writes, is "a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage. I hope all Christians give their vote prayerful consideration because voting is a sacred privilege and a serious responsibility."

A photo of Barack Obama donning traditional Muslim attire as a goodwill gesture during an overseas trip has sparked controversy.

The picture, which mysteriously surfaced yesterday, was attributed by The Drudge Report to sources within the campaign of Hillary Clinton.

The site did not reveal who might have released the photo, but it reeks of political fear-mongering. Here's the picture in question...

Barack Obama donned the traditional Muslim garments during a trip to Kenya in 2006. Like many high-ranking U.S. visitors, he received such clothing as a gift.

Obama's father is Kenyan, his mother from Kansas. The senator is Christian and has been a member of Chicago's United Church of Christ for 20 years.

These facts did not stop some Clinton volunteers from circulating e-mails that falsely claimed Barack Obama is a Muslim late last year.

That bogus rumor (which he has worked hard to dispel) and the release of this picture are pathetic ploys to stoke the fears of ignorant Americans.

Hillary Clinton aides also suggested that his drug use as a young man might make him vulnerable to GOP attacks if he were the Democratic nominee.

She makes a point there. Thank goodness Bill Clinton didn't inhale, otherwise he might have left himself vulnerable to GOP attacks. Phew!

How much more shameless and desperate can the former First Lady get? Stay tuned - the proverbial bar just keeps finding a way to go lower.
