Sarah Palin has taken a few moments away from writing her fitness book to comment on the recent scandal surrounding four American deaths in Libya.

In light of emails surfacing that make it apparent White House officials were told that a militant group took responsibility for the tragedy in Benghazi just two hours after it happened on September 11, Palin slammed President Obama for his role in what some consider a cover-up.

Sarah Palin, Center of Attention

Via Facebook, of course.

"Why the lies? Why the cover up? Why the dissembling about the cause of the murder of our ambassador on the anniversary of the worst terrorist attacks on American soil? We deserve answers to this. President Obama's shuck and jive shtick with these Benghazi lies must end."

Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine says President Barack Obama somehow "staged" the recent Colorado shooting as part of a conspiracy to ban guns. Seriously.

In comments that may put even Ted Nugent to shame, Dave suggested that Obama was behind the massacre perpetrated by James Holmes ... and a lot more.

At a Tuesday, August 7 performance in Singapore, Mustaine told the crowd, "Back in my country, my president ... he's trying to pass a gun ban."

  • Barack Pic

"So he's staging all of these murders, like the 'Fast And Furious' thing down at the border ... Aurora, Colorado, all the people that were killed there ... and the beautiful people at the [Wisconsin Sikh temple]."

The rocker continued, "I don't know where I'm gonna live if America keeps going the way it's going because it looks like it's turning into Nazi America."

One major hole in Mustaine's "theory" (besides basic facts): Obama has not made any push for gun control in the wake of these tragedies.

Here's a new Chuck Norris fact for you: the actor is very unhappy with Barack Obama right now.

In light of James Turley - a Boy Scouts of America official and CEO of the accounting firm Ernst & Young - recently stating that he planned on working to change the longtime rule that bans homosexuals from serving as Scout leaders, Norris has penned a column for Ammo Land that places the blame for this maneuver on the President's shoulders.

Chuck Norris Pic

Running down the connections between Turley and Obama (e.g. they were just guests at a state dinner and Turley was nominated to President Obama’s Export Council in 2010) and citing the President's support of same-sex marriage, Norris believes Turley is catering to a "pro-gay" Obama agenda.

Writes/asks Norris:

Hasn’t America reached a new low in its history when its president (and the honorary president of the BSA!) distances himself and his administration from the Boy Scouts of America yet invites groups such as the Secular Student Alliance to participate in its faith and college missions?

Adding that he has personally "known a host of Boy Scouts, Eagle Scouts and BSA leaders," Norris concludes that these individuals epitomize the best of America," which seems to imply gay BSA leaders would epitomize... the worst?

Where do you stand? Should gays be allowed to serve as Boy Scout leaders?

Amanda Bynes has been charged following her April 6 DUI arrest. In response, she Tweeted at President Obama to have the cop who arrested her fired.

"I don't drink," the actress, 26, said in a Tweet to the Barack Obama presidential campaign (@barackobama). "Please fire the cop who arrested me."

Don't count on it. The U.S. Government has no jurisdiction over a West Hollywood police matter. Moreover, guy doesn't even read his own account!

With Lady Gaga, you might get a reply, even as one of 25 million Monsters.

The misdemeanor charge of DUI against Bynes was filed Tuesday and relates to her April 6 arrest, when she was pulled over in West Hollywood.

The actress allegedly sideswiped a police car in her BMW when she tried to turn right, then did not stop. She refused a breathalyzer and drug test.

If convicted she faces a maximum penalty as a first-time offender of 48 hours in jail, three years probation and a nine-month alcohol program.

She could also lose her driver's license for a year, which might not be the worst thing, as this is one of several other recent driving mishaps for Bynes.

About a week after her arrest, she backed over a curb while texting, and a week later was spotted holding up traffic while making a slow three-point U-turn.

The Secret Service is looking into comments made this weekend by extreme right-winger Ted Nugent.

During a gathering sponsored by the National Rife Association, the rocker - referring to the upcoming election - urged members of the organization help "chop their heads off in November" and added:

"I'll tell you this right now: If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year. We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Any questions?"

Referring to the current administration as "criminals," Nugent appeared to directly threaten Obama - which is a crime - by ranting:

"If the coyote's in your living room, pissing on your couch, it's not the coyote's fault. It's your fault for not shooting him."

Responded Andrea Saul, a spokeswoman for Mitt Romney, the candidate Nugent is backing: "Divisive language is offensive no matter what side of the political aisle it comes from. Mitt Romney believes everyone needs to be civil."

Sean Penn channeled his inner Morgan Freeman this week.

The actor raised eyebrows by calling Tea Party members a bunch of racists, drawing a stinging rebuke from the national coordinator of the Tea Party Patriots.

Penn referred to Tea Partiers as the “Get the N-Word Out of the White House Party” on Piers Morgan Tonight, saying its members want to "lynch" President Obama.

That sentiment and word choice did not sit well with many.

Said Mark Meckler, co-founder and national coordinator of the Tea Party Patriots:

“I’m fairly certain that Sean Penn has never been to a tea party or met anyone who belongs to a local tea party. I’d be happy to sit down and speak with him if he’s ever interested in really speaking with one of us and learning what we are about instead of just slandering millions of his fellow American citizens with racist hatred."

"While protected by the 1st Amendment, this rhetoric has no place in reasonable discourse in America. Then again, no one ever accused Sean Penn of ‘reasonable discourse.’”

We know where Herman Cain stands on this, but what about you?

Is the Tea Party racist?

Are you ready for some insanity?

When Hank Williams Jr. stopped by Fox & Friends this morning to discuss politics (absurd in itself), few could have imagined the views that the country music singer and longtime voice of Monday Night Football espouses.

Williams described this year’s “Golf Summit” between President Barack Obama and Speaker of the House John Boehner as “One of the biggest political mistakes ever.” Sadly, that was Hank's high water mark for intelligence:

When the co-hosts asked Williams to explain, he offered this scintillating insight: “Come on! Come on! It would be like Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu!”

To the Fox News panel's credit, they were clearly dumbstruck, turned off and unsure of how to respond to such an outrageous comment in a live interview.

Still, you have to question the wisdom of having this guy on your show in the first place. You can't find an intelligent conservative voice to talk politics?

Your take: Is Obama a socialist?

UPDATE: ESPN has yanked Williams, saying in a statement: "We are extremely disappointed with his comments, and we have decided to pull the open from tonight’s telecast."

UPDATE #2: ESPN has fired Hank for good. He dubiously claims he quit, citing a violation of the First Amendment, which is just a ridiculous statement. Either way, he's out.

Mark Halperin must be watching too much Tracy Morgan stand-up.

During a live appearance on MSNBC's Morning Joe today, the political analyst was asked about President Obama's behavior yesterday during a meeting with Republicans, inquired about whether or not the show was on a seven-second delay and then said:

The President "acted like a dick." Watch the host's stunned reaction to the insult now:

Halperin, who co-authored the book "Game Change," has been suspended indefinitely by the network and said in a statement:

"I want to offer a heartfelt and profound apology to the president, to my MSNBC colleagues, and to the viewers. My remark was unacceptable, and I deeply regret it."

Should he have been punished?

A California Republican who e-mailed a racist "family photo" of President Barack Obama superimposed as a chimpanzee is now facing widespread criticism.

State Assembly member Marilyn Davenport, who later apologized, says she received and forwarded the Obama email because she "thought it was funny."

Not the word a lot of people are using to describe it.

Here's the image the GOP official emailed out to dozens of friends and fellow Republicans, featuring Obama as a baby chimpanzee with its parents ...

Bobby Titcomb, an old Hawaii schoolmate and longtime golfing buddy of President Barack Obama's, was arrested for solicitation of prostitution.

The bust took place in Honolulu, which is part of the United States.

Titcomb, who hosted the Obama family at his Waialua home over the holidays this winter, was one of four people arrested in a sting operation

BOOKED: Bobby Titcomb after he got popped.

The crime, which allegedly took place Monday, is a misdemeanor that typically carries a $500 fine, as well as probation and up to 30 days in jail.

Obama and Titcomb attended the private Punahou School in Honolulu together in the '70s and have been friends ever since. Well, until this.

Who knows how the Prez will react to his pal joining THG's celebrity mug shots gallery. He could do something nuts like shut down the federal government.

You can never tell nowadays.
