Snooki is upset with President Obama, and not because of foreign policy, health care reform or even the tanning tax she whined about in the Jersey Shore premiere.

She thinks he dissed her on TV.

During Obama's visit to The View, he said he didn't know who Snooki was. Hard to blame him for trying to dodge that one, but in May, POTUS joked that the Jersey Shore star and her cohorts should be excluded from that very tanning tax.

"I know he knows who I am," Snooki told E! Online this weekend. "Why did he have to lie and say he didn't know me? He did say Snooki and JWoww about the tanning stuff and now he doesn't know who I am? He has to stop lying."

Looks like Barack's down one voter in 2012.

KISS OFF: Snooki wants the President to stop the lies.

As for New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie slamming the MTV series for tarnishing the Garden's State's image, Snooki, who is actually from N.Y. State, simply said:

"He needs to come over and have a hot dog and a Corona and just chill."

But not too many Coronas. Otherwise he could end up arrested like Snooki on July 30. "I learned not to drink during the day and save it for the clubs. Have you ever been in jail? It's not fun. I never want to go there again."

We have, and can vouch for her on that one. Better to wait until at least 4 p.m. before cracking open that first cold one. Maybe she'll write this newfound wisdom down in one of her new books. Yes, that was books, plural.

"One is the Snooktionary with all my sayings," Snooki said. "The other is the story of somebody going to Seaside Heights and everything that could happen to them."

Could make a nice stocking stuffer, Barack.

Barack Hussein Obama II, the current President of the United States, turns 49 years old today. Happy birthday to our country's 44th Commander-in-Chief!

Since his historic election in November 2008, Obama's White House term has produced significant accomplishments amid impossibly high expectations.

It has also led many, even those who support him, to believe he's not doing enough. His critics see him taking the U.S. in the wrong direction entirely.

No matter how you see it, you most likely have a strong opinion in what have become turbulent, critical times for our nation. But we are all Americans.

Let's put aside our differences and embrace our differences of opinion. We love a spirited debate, but we can do so more respectively and constructively.

Regardless of your political affiliation, we can all wish the man a very happy birthday! But while we're on the subject of his controversial first term  ...

Is Barack Obama doing a good job as President?

Yesterday's appearance by Barack Obama on The View was not warmly greeted by some of the President's critics who questioned the nature of the visit.

Chief among said critics: Sarah Palin. Ripping his decision to sit down for a light interview on daytime TV amid myriad national crises, Palin Twittered:

"President with no time to visit porous US/Mexican border to offer help to those risking life to secure us, but lotso’ time to chat on The View? ... I’m headed to border in near future. Let’s see how quickly his travel schedule will allow that border visit after all.”

It might be a compelling point, if it weren't Sarah Palin.

POTUS in Action

Sarah Palin questions our President's commitment to public service.

The former Alaska Governor is referring to the region's drug wars and the debate over immigration in this country, and whether Obama should be on The View during such turbulent - or any - times is a subject many have raised, and not without validity.

With our nation burdened by two wars, immigration upheaval, rampant unemployment and the worst ecological disaster of all time, seeing our Commander-in-Chief chatting about Lindsay Lohan and Jay-Z is not as charming as it once was.

Let's not forget, though, that this criticism is coming from a woman who quit after less than a term as Alaska Governor to pursue lucrative, self-serving endeavors such as writing a memoir of her distinguished "career" and posing for In Touch Weekly.

That's her right, of course, and good for her. But for a woman clearly in love with her own celebrity and more interested in fulfilling Sarah Palin's every whim than in public service, criticism of one interview by the President is laughable.

Agree? Disagree? Weigh in below ...

President Barack Obama stopped by The View today, marking the first-ever appearance by a sitting Commander-in-Chief on a daytime talk show.

The subject matter was mostly light.

Obama did touch on some of his recent lows - prosecuting two wars, the BP oil slick, a misstep over a race flap - and the greatest indignity of all:

He wasn't invited to Chelsea Clinton's wedding.

"I was not invited," Obama admitted when asked if he'd be attending Chelsea's nuptials with Marc Mezvinsky in Rhinebeck, N.Y., this coming weekend.

Obama said he supported the Clintons' decision to limit invites to guests who had a relationship with Chelsea, rather than including world leaders.

"I think Hillary and Bill properly want to keep this as a thing for Chelsea and her soon-to-be husband," he said. "You don't want two presidents."

Obama later revealed that his pop culture knowledge is significant, but not without holes. "I've got to admit I don't know who Snooki is," he said.

"I knew Lindsay was in jail," he added, referring to the jailing of Lindsay Lohan for failing to comply with probation terms of her DUI sentencing.

Asked about the recent scandal over the Oksana Grigorieva / Mel Gibson tapes, Obama replied: "I haven't seen a Mel Gibson movie in a while."

Obama does not use Twitter, but was a big fan of the iPod.

"I got Jay-Z on there, I've got Frank Sinatra. I've got Maria Callas on there," he said of the MP3 player. "I do not have Justin Bieber on there."

Slipping in polls of late, Obama may have decided on the light sit-down with the women of The View to reconnect with his female base.

He accomplished that, but did touch on some key issues.

Welcome to another edition of The Hollywood Gossip Caption Contest. It's a fun challenge for readers: Come up with the best caption(s) for the photo below!

Our subject this week: The President of the United States, Barack Obama, giving what looks like a very important address. What could he be saying? You tell us!

Talking about the Gulf oil spill? Responding to Jon Voight's comments? Praising Kim Kardashian's booty? Give it your best shot by leaving a comment or two.

We'll announce the winner Monday ...

To say Jon Voight is not a huge fan of Barack Obama would probably be a fairly safe statement, but Angelina Jolie's estranged father has really outdone himself now.

Slamming the Commander-in-Chief again in an open letter in the Washington Post, the 71-year-old staunch Republican makes some pretty strong accusations.

Jon's views, in a nutshell: Barack Obama propagandizes and hates Jews while defending criminals, illegal immigrants and terrorists for political gain. Harsh.

The letter makes his anti-health care rant seem tame.

Jon Voight Photo

Here's what Voight had to say about Obama, who he previously termed a "false prophet" and his controversial foreign and domestic policies. Do you agree?

"President Obama:

"You will be the first American president that lied to the Jewish people, and the American people as well, when you said that you would defend Israel, the only Democratic state in the Middle East, against all their enemies."

"You have done the opposite."

"You have propagandized Israel, until they look like they are everyone's enemy - and it has resonated throughout the world. You are putting Israel in harm's way, and you have promoted anti-Semitism throughout the world."

While President Barack Obama deals with rumors of an affair with Vera Baker, he got to take the night off from scandals, debates and politics in general at yesterday' White House Correspondents' Dinner.

The annual event brings celebrities together with politicians, as a comedian is chosen to host the evening and the President always takes the stage to poke fun at himself and his opponents.

President George W. Bush caused controversy in the past by actually making fun of the fact that he and his administration never found weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. We went to war for misguided, false reasons! Hilarious!

Last night, though, Obama kept his routine mostly safe, but altogether hilarious. First, he yanked MC Jay Leno's chain: "I'm glad that I'm speaking first because we've all seen what happens when somebody takes the timeslot after Leno's."

He then moved on to John McCain," who “recently claimed he had never identified himself as a maverick," said the President. "And we all know what happens in Arizona when you don't have ID.”

Leno, of course, was his typical lame, unfunny self. He delivered such gems as referring to Michelle Obama's anti-obesity campaign as "Leave no child with a bigger behind."

Spotted on the red carpet were such stars as Kim Kardashian and Justin Bieber (who posed together! yikes!), Jessica Simpson (who said she really admires Michelle Obama as "a powerful woman), Jessica Alba, the Jonas Brothers and more.

Quipped Bill Maher: "It's great to mingle with America's real intellectual heavyweights. I saw the Jonas Brothers, Justin Bieber, Jessica Simpson, Ryan Seacrest – I can't wait to talk politics."

Has President Barack Obama been having an affair with Vera Baker? That's the shocking allegation made by the National Enquirer in this week's edition.

The publication claims Obama and Baker, a former campaign aide, holed up at Washington, D.C. hotel, and a "security video" could expose everything!

Baker, now 35, worked tirelessly to get Obama elected to the U.S. Senate, raising millions in campaign contributions, in 2004. They grew close since.

While Vera Baker insists that "nothing happened" between them, the Enquirer says anti-Obama "operatives" are digging hard into the alleged affair.

Some are reportedly offering $1 million for information confirming it.

El Presidente

Did Barack Obama and Vera Baker have an affair? That's the allegation of sources who claim the former aide is now his mistress - and claim there's evidence out there.

According to the celebrity gossip tabloid, a limo driver (anonymous of course) claims he drove Vera to a secret hotel rendezvous with the President.

He says he drove Baker "from a friend's home in the D.C. area to the Hotel George where I learned later that Obama would be spending the night."

The driver recalled that he "waited in the lobby while she went to change her outfit. But to the best of my knowledge she did not have a room at the hotel and she was not staying there so I thought that it was a bit odd."

He says he picked up Barack Obama at the airport and drove both he and Vera Baker to various locations while he was raising money.

The White House's declaration that the U.S. will not respond to a conventional attack with nuclear weapons has come under attack itself ... from Sarah Palin.

Speaking in Minnesota, the former Alaska Governor and current professional celebrity said no previous administration would've ever considered such a step.

"It's unbelievable," Palin said at a rally.

"It's like a bunch of kids, ready to fight on a playground, and one says, 'Go ahead, punch me in the face. I'm not going to retaliate. Do what you want to with me.'"

That's what Bristol Palin said to Levi Johnson! Sorry. Moving on.

"This is another thing that the American public, the more they find out what is a part of this agenda, they're going to rise up and say 'no more,'" Sarah said.

NUKED: Barack promptly shot down his harshest critic.

Unaware or unwilling to consider nuance, Palin's foreign policy is four words long: We win, you lose! Suffice it to say, the President, who believes reducing global nuclear proliferation and tension helps the U.S. "win" along with everyone, was unmoved.

"Last I checked, Sarah Palin is not much of an expert on nuclear issues," Barack Obama told ABC, declining to elaborate but adding an additional jab at critics.

"What I'd say to them is that if the Secretary of Defense and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff are comfortable with this, I'm probably going to take my advice from them, and not from Sarah Palin," he told George Stephanopolous.

Dude, you can see Russia from Alaska! Step off and let a pro handle it.

Who's the bomb when it comes to defense and foreign policy?
