A new pro-Israel ad has sparked controversy, not for its subject matter but for the fact that Bar Rafaeli, the nation's hottest export, takes part in it.

The Israeli supermodel's latest public relations campaign sponsored her native country's Foreign Ministry did not sit well with the Israel Defense Forces.

The reason? Refaeli's evasion of the compulsory military draft, which has become a standard coming-of-age experience for 18-year-old Israelis.

Israel's Channel 2 News first reported the contents of a letter sent by spokesman Big. Gen. Yoav Mordechai to the Foreign Ministry Director.

The day after the Bar Refaeli Super Bowl commercial aired, this super model was a guest on The Tonight Show.

And she kicked off the episode by standing in a dressing room with the grey-haired host, who was hoping he and the beauty could recreate the kiss that had everyone chattering online Sunday night.

No problem, Bar said. Enter Jesse Helman and a rather big surprise for Leno. Watch what transpired now:

"I’ve actually had guys tweet me that they wish they were me, and girls tweet me saying they wish they were Bar,” Helman says of his Super Bowl spot.

Bar Refaeli has been named the Hottest Girl in the World by Maxim.

And in case the shot of this super model naked was somehow not enough to prove why she's deserving of the honor, the magazine has gone ahead and featured Refaeli in the September 2012 issue, donning nothing more than a tiny black bikini.

Asked to name her favorite body part, the ex-girlfriend of Leonardo DiCaprio likely differs from most men around the world, responding: "My stomach is hard, and I’m very proud of it."

Not two people we would've predicted would get together, but who are we to judge, right? The snowboarding champ was spotted with Maxim’s newly crowned “hottest woman in the world” at NYC lounge Sway “dancing, hugging and kissing” Monday.

Score one for the Flying Tomato.

The New York Post writes that "the Israeli ex of Leonardo DiCaprio and the half-pipe hero promptly hit the dance floor, going for the gold in the canoodle-a-thon."

Mark that down as one of the best celebrity gossip lines of the year.

“They were all over each other,” a spy said. “They were dancing, hugging, kissing ... you name it.” Then “around 3 a.m.,” White gallantly walked her out.

No word if Sean White has seen Bar Refaeli nude in person yet, but millions of Maxim readers have. Okay, probably more like a few thousand at this point.

We knew Bar Refaeli was hot, but apparently, there's no one hotter.

The supermodel tops Maxim's Hot 100 list this year – and it's not hard to see why. Refaeli tells the magazine in its issue, on stands May 29, that she was "shocked that among all of these beautiful ladies, I'm number one."

Based on the image below, we're not really.

The top 10 was voted on by readers for the first time. Note the lack of Kim Kardashian, named the hottest woman on Earth by another magazine this week.
