It has come to this for Ashton Kutcher:

The moronic actor - who got in trouble last night for lamenting the firing of Joe Paterno without knowledge that the coach was fired due to his role in a child rape cover-up - has actually hired a team to edit his own thoughts.

Help! I can't control my own thoughts!

Kutcher will no longer make his Tweets live without others reading them over first.

"Up until today I have posted virtually everyone of my tweets on my own, but clearly the platform has become to big to be managed by a single individual," blogged Kutcher, who has eight million followers. "While I will continue to express myself through @Aplusk I'm going to turn the management of the feed over to my team at Katalyst Media to ensure the quality of it's content."

Ashton also once again apologized for his ignorant Tweet regarding Paterno. What a narcissistic idiot.

Turns out, there is something stupider one can do than cheat on Demi Moore...

Ashton Kutcher responded to the news of Joe Paterno's firing last night with the following Tweet: How do you fire Joe Pa?. There were just two problems:

  1. The actor had no idea that the Penn State football coach was dismissed by the Board of Trustees because he played a role in covering up a former co-worker's child molestation scandal.
  2. Kutcher runs a charity that aims to eliminate child sex slavery. Oops!

Kutcher promptly removed the Tweet and apologized, writing: "As of immediately I will stop tweeting until I find a way to properly manage this feed. I feel awful about this error. Won't happen again."

So Ashton Kutcher has quit Twitter?!? At least something positive has come out of this mess at Penn State.

SHOULD JOE PATERNO HAVE BEEN FIRED?

Last year, Ashton Kutcher beat CNN to a million followers on Twitter, proclaiming himself the King of All Social Media. Okay, the first part is true anyway?

Since then, he's enjoyed his perch as the undisputed leader in total fans on the micro-blogging site ... until today, when Britney Spears surpassed him.

Yup, Brit has opened up a 4,950,699-4,944,227 lead. Ashton's response? He does not care. Fittingly, he Twittered his response to playing second fiddle:

He wrote: "2nd most pop Q 'What do U think about Brittney having more followers than u?' Answer 'I don't care. Aren't u suppose 2B a movie reporter?'"

Ashton Twittered this during a press junket for his and Katherine Heigl's new movie Killers. Seems like he's taking it in stride ... or is secretly bitter.

As for Britney, she celebrated her reign by actually Twittering: "WOW!!!!! #1 on Twitter! Thank you! Tweet me some questions this morning! xoxo -Brit"

This is surprising and yet not. Surprising because Britney's Twitter is boring and rarely written by her. It's usually her manager writing some BS story.

It's not surprising in the sense that Britney Spears is a bigger star than Ashton Kutcher, and one of the most famous people alive ... for better or worse.

Either way, if we were Britney, we wouldn't get too comfortable. There are other threats to the crown who aren't even on Twitter yet. One word: Bieber.

P.S. Please follow THG on Twitter! We have slightly fewer followers than Britney Spears ... but you can bring our celebrity gossip site one person closer.

You can't leave an immature husband alone for a second these days.

Just a few months after posting this half-naked Demi Moore pic, Ashton Kutcher again had some fun at his cougar wife's expense by enlisting Photoshop to give her a fake Mohawk. This creation was then posted on Twitter ...

47-Year Old Body

Demi Moore is bringing the Mohawk back ... Twitter style.

Proud of his artistic creation, Kutcher presented it to his million-plus followers: "Wifey just got a new haircut," he Tweeted. "What do you guys think? I love it."

He got a response fast. "I have the buzzer ready baby!" Demi Twittered back.

"I'm just playing baby, but I think you'd look great with that cut," he insisted.

While we are in no place to criticize anyone's relationship, especially if they make each other happy, do you think Ashton is going overboard with the Twittering? Can there be too much of a good, social networking thing?

We ask you: Is Ashton Kutcher cool?

Recent reports of a proposed Twitter reality show (we wish we were kidding) is not sitting well with two of the "social networking" tool's most famous users:

Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore.

"I hope this isn't true," Demi wrote on Twitter in response to the planned Twitter series. "If it is, our Twitter time may come to a quick and sad end!"

She added, "This would not be a smart move for Twitter!"

Her husband, Ashton Kutcher - the undisputed Twitter king with over two million followers - was equally disturbed by the idea of a TV series.

"Wow I hope this isn't true," the man known as AplusK wrote on his page. "I really don't like being sold out. May have to take a Twitter hiatus."

How tragic would that be? If he were no longer able to post a half-naked Demi Moore pic for the world to see, the world would be worse for it.

Without Twitter, would these two be forced to speak to each other?

As reported by Access Hollywood, Twitter is teaming up with two production companies to develop an unscripted show based on the site. The show would utilize Twitter, dispatching players on the trail of stars in an interactive, competitive format.

Kutcher said the planned show could create a safety concern for celebrities: "I don't want to be stalked!!! It's all fun and games until somebody gets stalked."

While it may seem like everyone is addicted to Twitter, some celebrities actually steer clear of the site. Kanye West, Ben McKenize, Drew Barrymore, Beyonce and Zac Efron, among others, don't wish to tell the world their every move.

"I don't have a Twitter, a MySpace or a Facebook or anything like that," Zac told People. "I kind of value in people not knowing where I am or what I'm doing."

He added that his Twitter updates wouldn't be worth posting, saying, "I'm on the toilet. Still on the toilet. Guys, dot-dot-dot, out of TP. Still on the toilet."

LOL, Zac. And Amen to that.

If anyone in this world can rightfully be called a twit, it's Spencer Pratt. So it's hardly a shock that The Hills star has, in the past couple of months, so passionately embraced the "social networking" phenomenon known as Twitter.

After all, it allows narcissistic celebs and regular people alike to stroke their own egos, kill time and score cheap publicity points. What's not to love?

Grabbing Some Heidi

Spencer Pratt's latest scheme is to challenge reigning Twitter king Ashton Kutcher to a 30-day duel to see who can add the most new followers.

Pratt has 201,565, while Kutcher has a shocking 1,241,941, having ousted CNN in their first-to-a-million followers challenge, in which the winner pledged to donate thousands anti-malaria mosquito-netting beds for a life-saving cause.

NI-TWITS: Speidi, like many other celebs in this golden age of technology, are all about sharing their innermost thoughts 24-7-365. How lucky are celeb gossip lovers?!

As part of his challenge, Spencer says, "If I win, Ashton and Demi [Moore] have to wash my car." If he loses, "[Heidi Montag] and I will clean their house."

Don't hold your breath, Spence.

First of all, that's the lamest bet ever. Washing cars? Cleaning houses? Give us a break. Second, everyone knows you don't play down to your opponent. Ashton has already knocked off CNN. Your Twitter challenge likely isn't even on his radar.

Just stick to planning fake weddings, okay?

Ashton Kutcher is a dumbass.

Not that we're complaining, as we get to hear his innermost thoughts, all the time, and they are far from unfunny. But to do this to your wife? Asking for it.

Amanda Bynes Twit Pic

The actor, who attended Bruce Willis' wedding to Emma Heming Saturday in the Turks and Caicos Islands with wife Demi Moore, has taken to his Twitter page to dole out relationship advice to the masses. Among his sage words:

"For me it's about relearning that supporting my wife isn't about providing $ and Home, it's about supporting her desires, needs and emotions." How wise.

"Greatest lesson in my marriage. Don't try to solve her problems, just listen, love and be supportive. This is the opposite of male nature." Again, profound.

"2nd greatest lesson. When she says time for bed, hop to, good things await."

Then, best of all, Ashton posted this picture of Demi Moore bending over in the bathroom, with the request, "Shhh. Don't tell wifey." His vantage point:

While this juvenile behavior isn't quite as funny as his video rants about his neighbor's construction, Stephen Colbert would still be proud that Ashton twatted this.
