Former star of The Bachelorette Ashley Hebert is pregnant and expecting her first child with her husband and 2011 final rose recipient, J.P. Rosenbaum.

The self-described "cool dentist," Hebert first won hearts as a contestant on Brad Womack's season of The Bachelor (the second), only to finish in third place.

Ashley Hebert, 29, later went on to star on The Bachelorette, where she first met J.P. Rosenbaum, 36. He proposed in Fiji on the finale, and they wed in 2012.

Their wedding was aired on ABC, just like Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici nuptials earlier this year. The couple now lives together in New Jersey.

"Whenever we're around each other, it's just easy and comfortable and fun," Rosenbaum famously said on the show. "It's a chemistry you can't ignore."

"It's just there."

Dreams do come true. At least 10-20 percent of the time.

Fans know that a final rose does not guarantee a lifetime of happiness, but The Bachelor has produced some couples that have stood the test of time. At least lately.

And with Juan Pablo Galavis' season in full swing, ABC caught us up on some of its recent success stories as part of its "Juan-uary" series of Sunday specials.

Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici are set to tie the knot next weekend. They were one of the duos featured on The Bachelor: Bachelor Love Stories last night.

The others:

Ashley Hebert and JP Rosenbaum
Ashley Hebert and JP Rosenbaum are married. He won her heart on The Bachelorette.

  • Trista Rehn married fireman Ryan Sutter in a ceremony that was televised in 2003. Still the gold standard for the show, over a decade later.
  • Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried. The most recent Bachelorette picked Chris at the end of Season 9 last year. They're still engaged.
  • Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum. After she chose J.P. on The Bachelorette Season 7 finale, Ashley married J.P. in December 2012.
  • Molly and Jason Mesnick. Jason was engaged to Melissa Rycroft, but dumped her for runner-up (and now-wife) Molly on the After the Final Rose special. Close enough.

Will Juan Pablo end up in the success or failure column? The Bachelor spoilers shed some light on that if you're interested ... but the odds are not good.

That's like five success stories in like 27 seasons. Just saying.

Courtney Robertson's tear-filled, apologetic display on The Bachelor: Women Tell All special was a sight to behold ... though not necessarily in a good way.

What did last season's Bachelorette, Ashley Hebert, think about it?

"I didn't even want to watch," Ashley told E! about the Women Tell All special. "It made me just want to turn it off. It was just like a typical sorority party."

"Everyone fights; I thought people were going to start throwing shoes at each other. It was crazy! I actually do believe Courtney's tears were genuine."

"She apologized from some place in her heart. Was she sorry for hurting the girls? I don't know. For making herself look like a mean girl? I think that's what it is."

Ashley Hebert continued her sort-of-defense of Courtney Robertson:

"I think she did learn and she feels apologetic, but I also feel like the only reason she's apologizing is because of the backlash she's getting from the media."

"Not just the media, but friends, family, everyone. Everyone hates her."

Former Bachelorette star Ashley Hebert, who famously rejected Ben Flajnik, is trying to give Courtney Robertson the benefit of the doubt. She really is.

But while Ash admits she didn't find Court as despicable as usual on this week's episode of The Bachelor, she's totally calling her out for one thing:

Ripping off her so-called heartfelt vows from Sex and the City!

"First of all, I do have to say that Courtney's ceremony was a little bit of a rip-off idea - because we did that on my season, with William," recalls Hebert.

"And she blatantly stole her vows from Sex and the City!"

In their faux wedding, Courtney memorably told Ben, "I am looking for love. Real love. Passionate, consuming, can't-live-without-each-other love."

Sarah Jessica Parker said, "I am someone who is looking for love. Real love. Ridiculous, inconvenient, consuming, can't-live-without-each-other love."

Remember? To Mikhail Baryshnikov, from the series finale? When Carrie breaks it off with the Russian? Right before Big tracks her down in Paris?

Anyway, Ashley Hebert is like the rest of us - flummoxed by Courtney.

"A classic case of mean-girlism." Ashley Hebert on The Bachelor

The effervescent Hebert, a former contestant on The Bachelor herself before going on to be The Bachelorette, weighed in on the current season's craziness this week.

"I have so many thoughts on last night's show," she told E! "First of all, how mean can these girls be?! It was a classic case of mean-girlism, that's all I have to say."

Of the other girls' "below the belt" comments, Ash says, "I cannot believe the way Shawntel was treated by some of the other girls. It absolutely blows my mind."

Ashley Hebert feels the women exercised "bad judgment" and urged them to "have a good experience, get to know the other girls, form friendships, you know?"

"That's probably what you're going to take away from all this."

In other words, there's only one winner. Get used to the idea.

After all, "What guy wants to be with a girl that's nasty to other people?" Hebert mused.

"You want the girl that you're with to, you know, get along with your friends, get along with your family ... it's not really a good indication of that."

"It's almost as if they're being competitive. If you're in this to be competitive and to beat everyone else, then you're kind of wasting everyone's time."

In other words, no one wants to be with Courtney Robertson.

Rejected by Brad Womack, 26-year-old Ashley Hebert has been confirmed as the next Bachelorette, with her season set to kick off Monday, May 23.

As the third-place finisher on The Bachelor (Brad chose Emily Maynard over Chantal O'Brien on the finale), Ashley is certainly a worthy candidate.

How They Tricked Her

We grew familiar with the cutie over the past few months, but now that she's about to call the shots, here are some things to know about her ...

She's a fourth-year grad student at the University of Pennsylvania, who will return to school after The Bachelorette and finish dental school this fall.

She's ready for love: "I feel like this season taught me so much about myself," Ashley Hebert said of The Bachelor. "It primed me for a relationship."

"I'm ready to meet 25 new guys. Bring 'em on!"

She has one tattoo on her inner right wrist.

She failed to make the final rose ceremony this season, but Ashley Hebert still made her presence felt in the aftermath of The Bachelor finale last night.

Ash has been confirmed as the next star of The Bachelorette!

The announcement was made on Monday night's Jimmy Kimmel Live, a few hours after the finale. The new season kicks off Monday, May 23 on ABC!

The pride of Madawaska, Maine, is now The Bachelorette!

Showing off her new look, the 26-year-old, who graduates from dental school in a few months, told Kimmel that she believes everything worked out for the best.

That sentiment was echoed by Chantal O'Brien, The Bachelor runner-up and likely first choice for The Bachelorette, who has since found love with Jeff Razore.

Anyway, what do you think of Ashley Hebert as The Bachelorette?

Is reality TV's most famous commitment-phobe ready to get down on one knee? Will he propose to Chantal or Emily? Were The Bachelor spoilers correct?

It's all come down to one final rose tonight, and for the two women remaining, a final date to make their case in the quest to become Mrs. Brad Womack.

How will the saga end? Which amazing woman - Emily Maynard and Chantal O'Brien - will receive a Neil Lane ring and who will depart empty-handed?

THG breaks down The Bachelor season finale in a LIVE +/- recap!

Brad Womack Waits

Come on, ABC. Ditch the "most controversial season in Bachelor history" bit. We get it. You recycled Brad. Other than that? Pretty normal season! Minus 4.

Five minutes in and Brad's crying. Sorry ... bawling. Yikes. Minus 3.

Wait ... Brad is a changed man? Emily and Chantal couldn't be more different? Wild. Missed that the first four times. Also, what is Brad wearing?! Minus 5.

Chantal is bringing it tonight. She's holding nothing back. Plus 9. Saying she'll get married to Brad on the spot? Not a bluff. Talk about laying it on the line.

Oh, passing the mom test. This is going down to the wire! Plus 6.

Is your top on backwards, though, Chantal? Just askin'. Minus 2.

Of all the girls on The Bachelor this season, few probably had Ashley Hebert pegged as the next Bachelorette. Or as a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model.

While we're not sure what we think of her new look, which she debuted Monday night on the Women Tell All special, she sure looks the part right here.

Below are some of the photos taken during her awkward, but sizzling group date this season, during which Ashley Hebert posed for the swimsuit issue:

The pride of Madawaska, Maine, may not fancy herself a supermodel or a woman who commands the attention of 25 men, which she reportedly will be.

We could get used to the idea pretty quickly, however, and we're guessing the The Bachelorette will have no shortage of applicants with her in the lead role.

What do you think of Ashley as The Bachelorette?
