"A classic case of mean-girlism." Ashley Hebert on The Bachelor

The effervescent Hebert, a former contestant on The Bachelor herself before going on to be The Bachelorette, weighed in on the current season's craziness this week.

"I have so many thoughts on last night's show," she told E! "First of all, how mean can these girls be?! It was a classic case of mean-girlism, that's all I have to say."

Of the other girls' "below the belt" comments, Ash says, "I cannot believe the way Shawntel was treated by some of the other girls. It absolutely blows my mind."

Ashley Hebert feels the women exercised "bad judgment" and urged them to "have a good experience, get to know the other girls, form friendships, you know?"

"That's probably what you're going to take away from all this."

In other words, there's only one winner. Get used to the idea.

After all, "What guy wants to be with a girl that's nasty to other people?" Hebert mused.

"You want the girl that you're with to, you know, get along with your friends, get along with your family ... it's not really a good indication of that."

"It's almost as if they're being competitive. If you're in this to be competitive and to beat everyone else, then you're kind of wasting everyone's time."

In other words, no one wants to be with Courtney Robertson.

The women of The Bachelorette? Not unattractive.

With a new season of The Bachelor underway, it's only fitting, sort of, that three well-known cast members who went on to dole out the roses themselves cover In Touch Weekly, baring their bikini bodies and sharing their weight loss plans and tips.

Okay, it makes no sense. But who's complaining?

Bachelorette In Touch Cover

Ashley Hebert, who dispatched current Bachelor Ben Flajnik last summer, is prepping for her wedding to JP Rosenbaum with a low-carb diet. Sounds amazing.

Ali Fedotowsky, now single and ready to mingle after calling off her engagement to Roberto Martinez, is targeting thigh and butt jiggle. It looks well targeted.

Trista Sutter, the standard bearer for successful relationships spawned by a nonsensical reality show, still looks amazing - yet is contemplating a boob job.

Not that she needs it and not that you can believe anything you read in In Touch, but that's all we've got for now. Just sit back and enjoy the bikini photos.

Unswayed by the recent breakup of Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Matinez, Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum from The Bachelorette are still going strong and supposedly planning their dream wedding ... albeit a long way in advance.

This cover makes it seem imminent, though:

As recently as November 4, Ashley Hebert said she had no wedding date set, and that as happy as she was with J.P., they were taking things (relatively) slowly.

The couple isn't waiting too long, and will "start talking about [weddings] in the New Year," assured J.P., who bested current Bachelor Ben Flajnik last season.

For now, though, they're just enjoying what downtime they have and getting used to living together in New York - which is great, but don't believe the hype.

A couple of vague quotes don't mean nuptials are imminent - that's not even a new pic! - no matter how badly a celeb news weekly wants to sell magazines.

Ashley Hebert has no plans to marry J.P. Rosenbaum at the moment.

But that doesn't mean there's trouble for the pair. They're just busy.

"We're so busy that even if I wanted to plan [a wedding] right now, I don't think I could," the former Bachelorette star told People in a recent interview.

Ashley Hebert, who is in her final weeks of dental school and currently applying to pediatric residencies in NYC, says, "My brain is just not there right now."

Like Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez, there is no wedding date at the moment, but unlike their predecessors, Ash and J.P. are sure there will be.

The couple isn't waiting too long, and will "start talking about [weddings] after the New Year," assured J.P., who bested Ben Flajnik last season.

For now, they're just enjoying what downtime they have and getting used to living together in New York after a whirlwind Bachelorette courtship.

"My closet space is a lot less now and the place is twice as big," joked J.P. "But it's her idiosyncrasies that I love and there's no pet peeve of hers that gets to me."

As for downtime? "We just both have really busy, crazy lives, so staying in, making dinner and watching a movie is my personal favorite," said Ash.

Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum went on a date last night.

Not exactly shocking news, we know, but The Bachelorette couple are loving life in the "honeymoon phase" of their (adorable) relationship together.

"They held hands for the walk and were always in conversation," a source tells Us of the former Philadelphia resident and NYC-dwelling J.P.

Hebert and her beau enjoyed dinner Wednesday night at at ZIO, an Italian eatery in NYC's Flatiron district, joined by J.P.'s brother Roy and his girlfriend Angela Pope.

The foursome ate at the restaurant's "Chef's Table" by the open kitchen.

Will they be getting married anytime soon? Adds a pal, "They are simpatico. After they get a bit more settled, they'll discuss long-term plans."

Ashley Hebert is currently commuting to Philly to finish school while living part-time with her man in the Big Apple. Here's hoping it goes well!

Think it will? Can they stand the test of time?

Now together publicly, The Bachelorette star Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum, her final rose recipient, seemed in great spirits in NYC last weekend.

The duo went to downtown hotspot Beauty and Essex for dinner on Friday. Ashley was "so sweet and nice and took pictures" with fans, sources say.

Saturday morning, Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum had breakfast at Coffee Shop in Union Square, then spent time walking around with friends.

Also on hand? Hebert's once-disapproving sister, Chrystie Corns!

JP and Ash

Ashley's elder sibling infamously disapproved of J.P. on The Bachelorette finale, but according to a source, the two are "on very good terms now."

That's good to hear. Latert, Rosenbaum threw an engagement party of sorts so his friends could meet Hebert. About 40 people met at Casa La Femme.

After dinner and dessert, it was time for some belly dancing! "Ashley danced with the belly dancers. She's such a good sport," says the insider.

The best part about their relationship? The source says:

"That they don't have to keep this a secret anymore. They're so happy to be a couple and show everyone how in love they are with one another."

Will Ashley and J.P. last? It looks like it, so far ...

She had to three endure months of tears (William Holman), deceitful lies (Bentley Williams), surprise exits (Constantine, Lucas), betrayals (Bentley again) and even criticism from one of her own siblings (Chrystie Corns).

But through it all, Ashley Hebert met J.P. Rosenbaum. For that she is ever grateful.

"I've never looked back for a second on my decision," she says.

In fact, Ashley credits J.P., who proposed to her in Fiji, with helping her recover from her ill-fated romance with that two-timing ass clown Bentley.

She also says her relationship with the 34-year-old New York construction manager didn't truly begin until The Bachelorette finale had come and gone.

"Our relationship really started after we left the show," she says, despite the secrecy. "The show made us stronger than if we'd met on the outside."

Okay, Chrystie Corns didn't apologize for being on TLC's Extreme Couponing. There's nothing to apologize for - do you realize how much money you can save?!

Ashley Hebert's sister, who was seriously profiled on that show in its first season, is better known for her performance on The Bachelorette season finale.

More than 9 million viewers tuned in to see Ashley Hebert get engaged to J.P. Rosenbaum, and most of them were thrilled. Chrystie Corns? Not so much.

Chrystie Corns, Ashley Hebert's Sister

"I made a big mistake," Corns says of hastily judging Rosenbaum and curtly telling both of them to their faces that they simply weren't a good match.

Not only did she prefer Ashley Hebert and runner-up Ben Flajnik together, she even said that Brad Womack and Ashley had better chemistry. Ouch.

She has since done a 180, however: "As I started watching the season, however, it's very clear to me that J.P. was the one. He was the best choice."

It was the engagement seen around the world, or at least by approximately 10 million people in the United States.

Following an emotional Bachelorette finale, J.P. Rosenbaum proposed to Ashley Hebert and she said... YES! The couple is totally in love, but let's be realistic: most women are now only focused on one thing: the ring.

Ashley and J.P.

E! News has learned that the rock was created by Neil Lane and costABC J.P. $60,000. It contains 3.5 carats in all, with 162 stones surrounding a center diamond.

"I understood what her fantasy princess ring was all about," Lane said. "It had to be delicate but have a presence and she wanted a central stone with diamonds on the band - a ring with a romantic feel that sparkled."

So, what do you think? Is the ring big enough? And will this couple make it?

J.P. Rosenbaum certainly gave Ashley Hebert - and TV audiences across the country - a happy ending last night when he nervously popped the question.

The 26-year-old dental student from Philadelphia accepted J.P.'s marriage proposal immediately. From a man she calls "my rock," was there ever a doubt?

"We complement each other so well," Hebert said today on Good Morning America, the couple's first, live TV appearance together as an engaged couple.

Ashley, J.P. Kiss

Ashley on JP: "He's exactly what I've been looking for."

The couple announced that Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum will soon be living in the same city after she relocates to New York in the near future.

That said, they have no plans to rush down the aisle.

"She's going to move to New York City, finish up school," J.P. said. "We're going to find a place, she'll get a job, we'll get settled and then we're going to talk about a wedding ... Maybe fall of next year, or end of next year."

The Bachelorette season finale is in the books, but for Ashley, 26, and J.P., 34, they feel that only now can their lives can finally begin.
