Sources confirm that the actress called off her engagement to multimillionaire Arpad Busson two months ago, but they "are friends" insiders say.

The couple announced plans to marry last June after Busson gave Thurman an eight-carat diamond ring. But she apparently thought better of going through with a third, failed marriage.

Uma already has two divorces on her record, as she was previously wed to Ethan Hawke and Gary Oldman.

Considering her slight figure, many critics have accused Uma Thurman of rarely eating food.

While we can't vouch for the actress' diet, we can report that the tall beauty is glad to eat words.

Specifically, Thurman told Great Britain's Sunday Times Style magazine, she should never have said she was through with marriage following a pair of divorces from actors Gary Oldman and Ethan Hawke.

"I'm going to have to retract my statement of never," Thurman said. "I'll have to eat my words â€" what a surprise."

Uma, of course, is gleefully shocked over her engagement to Swiss millionaire Arpad Busson. He proposed late last month.
