Apollo Nida is facing eight years in prison after being convicted on several counts of fraud.

Initial reports indicated that he and Phaedra would try to make it work despite his lengthy sentence, and there were even rumors that Apollo and Phaedra would try an "open relationship," to help her endure is bid.

We learned today, however, that Apollo is having none of that, as he revealed in a radio interview that he's already given up on his marriage.

Asked if he thought his relationship would be able to survive while he's in prison, Nida replied, "I doubt it. My wife didn't even show up for my f--king sentencing. So I'm still kind of salty about that."

Wow. Maybe if Apollo had made a habit of always being that straight forward then he wouldn't be in this mess!

It was a dark day for Apollo Nida when he was sentenced to eight years in prison, and that wasn't even the half of it. He must repay his victims, NOW.

Apollo Nida Shirtless

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star turned convict has been ordered by a judge to pay nearly $2 million in restitution for his massive fraud right.

According to court documents filed in Atlanta on July 16, Nida owes a total of $1,948,214.85, including hundreds of thousands to U.S. states.

He also owes six figures to the IRS, the U.S. Department Housing and Urban Development, and private companies (JP Morgan Chase gets $828,300).

All of that is “due and payable immediately” according to court files.

If he can’t wipe out the debt all at once, the court demands he pay "any portion of the criminal monetary debt that remains unpaid” when he gets out.

Apollo Nida and Phaedra Parks are still together despite his prison sentence, at least for now, though reports say the duo may consider an open marriage.

Apollo and Phaedra

There's no disputing the fact that The Real Housewives of Atlanta pair is going through tough times, with Apollo Nida sentenced to eight years in prison.

Believing that Apollo has not always been faithful to her in the past makes it even harder for Phaedra to stay loyal, on top of his bank fraud conviction.

That's why, allegedly, she's considering an open marriage while he's locked up.

Not sure how she'd explain that to her two little kids, Ayden and Dylan, but it's easy to see how she reached her breaking point when it comes to Apollo.

Apollo Nida was charged with fraud and identity theft back in January, and today, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star was sentenced to eight years in federal prison.

Apollo Nida Mug Shot

Nida was operating a scam that involved setting up fake companies in order to create databases that allowed him to find individuals whose private information he would use to embezzle funds.

He opened fake accounts under real names and funneled cash from auto loans and U.S. Treasury checks into those accounts.

He was also accused of opening a fake auto dealership and applying for car loans using stolen identities.

Nida pled guilty in May, and for a time it looked as though he might be able to cop a plea deal and avoid jail time.

Those hopes were dashed at his sentencing hearing held earlier today.

The hits just keep on coming for Apollo Nida.

After pleading guilty to fraud and identity theft charges, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star is now under fire again ... and not just for calling T.I. a snitch.

Phaedra Parks' husband is put on blast in a new clip from the show for hollering at rumored sexting partner Kenya Moore during a cast trip to Mexico.

This incident has come up before, but he was really taken to task here.

Cynthia Bailey's husband Peter Thomas ripped Nida over drinks along with Kandi Burruss’ husband Todd Tucker, and NeNe Leakes‘ husband Gregg.

“When Kenya came out of the pool in that little yellow bikini, she walked past you up the steps,” Thomas said, adding that Nida was checking out her ass.

“I was looking at the horizon,” Nida claimed, hilariously, in his defense.

“You could not see no damn horizon from the cave,” Thomas insisted.

“I don’t mean no harm,” legally troubled Nida then sheepishly added.

Safe to say Apollo Nida shouldn't compare himself to T.I. if he's at all smart, because the rapper and one of his associates just tore him a new one.

The background: Nida, who's married to The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks, pleaded guilty to fraud and identity theft earlier this week.

In addition to Apollo Nida pleading guilty, he agreed - likely in exchange for sentencing leniency - to become a federal informant and help nail other crooks.

Apollo is a snitch, in other words. A rat.

Where does T.I. fit in? Because when the terms of Apollo's plea deal were published, Nida Tweeted that T.I. and Michael Vick signed similar "snitching" deals.

Let's just say T.I. took issue with that.

He and his boy Killer Mike (you don't want to mess with a guy named Killer Mike, just saying) caught up with Nida in a parking lot Friday to discuss it.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Apollo Nida pleaded guilty to charges of mail, wire and bank fraud in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

He could be going to jail for a long, long time.

Apollo Nida's crimes could land him in prison for up to 30 years and a fine of up to $1 million on top of restitution for an estimated $2.3 million he allegedly defrauded.

His co-conspirator Gayla St. Julien, who said Nida ran the show and helped turn him in after she was arrested, has received a sentence of 61 months last month.

Nida will be sentenced on July 8 at 2 p.m.

The assistant U.S. attorney said Apollo opened a fake debt collection agency to gain access to databases full of individuals' personal information.

He would then steal people’s ID and find unclaimed funds, refunds from HUD, stolen treasury checks and refunds from fraudulent U.S. income tax returns.

Nida had St. Julien open UPS mailboxes and bank checking accounts using those fake identities, deposit those checks, then pocket the money.

So why would he do it when he's already well taken care of by wife Phaedra Parks? Partly for that reason, he said in court. The pressure to keep up was intense!

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Apollo Nida pleaded guilty Wednesday, admitting his involvement in a $2.3 million fraud and identity theft scheme.

While Phaedra Parks’ hubby is now facing serious jail time, he is upbeat.

“I just left the courthouse, and I’m alive,” he told Radar. “I’m cool.”

“I feel good about the support I’m getting,” the reality star added. “All the support has been needed. It’s an uphill battle, but we’re still staying positive.”

That may be all he has left at this point.

According to the U.S. Attorney's office, federal officials nailed Nida after he and a group of co-conspirators cashed tons of stolen U.S. Treasury checks.

They also had checks from the Delta Airlines pension fund, which they laundered through bank accounts in the names of people whose IDs he also stole.

Miss Phaedra Parks, Real Housewives of Atlanta's resident "Southern Belle" declare in open court that she has never committed any fraud charges or run a criminal enterprise.

Parks filed an affidavit on March 31 in Gwinnett County suing Lies of a Real Housewife author Angela Stanton for defamation.

"“Due to the falsity of the material in the book, and to protect her reputation, on or about September 26, 2012, [Parks] filed a defamation action against [Stanton]," read the court documents.

The documents go on to say that Phaedra Parks claims she “verifies, under oath, that the allegations made by the Defendant in her Book and referenced in the Plaintiff’s Complaint are false,” and that Angela Stanton “knew the statements she made about the plaintiff were false when she made them.”

Stanton claims in her book that Parks was the mastermind behind the criminal enterprise which consisted of bank fraud, auto title theft, and racketeering for which her now-husband, Apollo Nida and Angela Stanton, spent time in jail.
