Anthony Weiner is not exactly known for his calm demeanor. Have you seen THIS CLIP of the Congressman going off on the GOP for blocking a bill that would give 9/11 respondents medical coverage?

But a newly-leaked exchange between the politician and Ginger Lee paints the former in a relaxed, shady state.

A Total Weiner

A day after Lee told the press she never initiated any sexy talk with Weiner, a Tweet from Ginger to the moronic Congressman has hit the Internet. In it, she asks for help with her stripping career, in light of the scandal:

"Just tell me what to do or say, this stuff is so far out of my league I can't even pretend to know what to do."

It has come to this for Anthony Weiner: a former porn star has suggested he resign, implying he's a sexual deviant who sent lewd messages to a woman who never asked for them.

Earlier today, reporters gathered for a press conference in which Ginger Lee once again said Weiner encouraged her to help him cover it his Twitter scandal.

"He asked me to lie about our communication," Lee said, with Gloria Allred by her side. "I think that Anthony Weiner should resign because he lied to the public and the press for more than a week."

Lee claims she never sexted Weiner and never reciprocated when he sent such Tweets as "My package and I are not going to beg..." and "You aren't giving my package due credit."

Anthony Weiner has likely taken the first step toward resignation. But if the embattled Congressman needed a push out of office, Barack Obama gave it to him this week.

In an interview with Ann Curry that airs today, the President was asked about Weiner and his texting scandal. He made his thoughts on it quite clear.

"If it were me, I'd resign," Obama said. "What he did was highly inappropriate.  I think he's embarrassed himself... he's embarrassed his wife and his family."

As he readies himself to run against a Republican candidate in 2012 - Michele Bachmann officially declared her intentions yesterday - Obama concluded:

"When you get to the point where, because of various personal distractions, you can't serve as effectively as you need to - at the time when people are worrying about jobs and their mortgages and paying the bills - then you should probably step back."

Do you think Weiner should resign?

The entire Anthony Weiner scandal is a sad state of affairs.

It's hard not to feel sorry for Weiner's wife, his constituents, the state of politics itself.

But it's also hard not to watch the following video and think the whole thing was worthwhile. In it, Bill Maher and Jane Lynch recite, word-for-word, an exchange between the Congressman and one of his Internet mistresses. Again, remember: this exact conversation actually took place online...

Anthony Weiner should really just resign already.

Under mounting pressure from fellow politicians, and with police getting involved in his recent spat of Twitter exchanges, the embattled Congressman has announced a leave of absence from his post.

What a Weiner

Can one seek professional help for being a horny moron?

A statement from Weiner's camp reads:

"[Congressman Weiner] will request a short leave of absence from the House of Representatives so that he can get evaluated and map out a course of treatment to make himself well. Congressman Weiner takes the views of his colleagues very seriously and has determined that he needs this time to get healthy and make the best decision possible for himself, his family and his constituents."

The saga of Anthony Weiner and his stable of online friends continues to grow more ridiculous by the moment.

Here's the latest: Ginger Lee, a porn star who says the Congressman coached her through the scandal as it broke, has hired attention-loving attorney Gloria Allred to represent her against a series of mysterious threats.

Protecting her client from whatever may be released in the future, Allred told TMZ this morning:

"Ms. Lee has asked me to issue this statement, because an individual has threatened her with a release of another statement which purports to be from her, but which she has not authorized.

"Ginger would like it to be known that she has not authorized any person, except me, her attorney, to issue statements on her behalf. Any unauthorized statement may contain inaccuracies and should be viewed with suspicion and not published."

In other words: some dude is about to reveal explosive information about Lee and she's trying to stay ahead of it. More news on this odd story as it breaks.

Alec Baldwin has an interesting, even somewhat sympathetic, take on the Anthony Weiner scandal, which reached new, disgusting heights this week upon the release of the Congressman's bare penis pic.

In a piece for The Huffington Post, Baldwin delved into the way technology has shaped human behavior and wrote:

“For high functioning men like Weiner and other officials who have lived through such scandals, who are constantly on the go, that leaves one tried and true source of a reliable high. The affirmation that comes when someone lets you know they want to sleep with you. Or even cyber-sleep with you.”

Smart phones and social networks have opened the door for busy individuals to receive the kind of gratification they aren't receiving at home, Baldwin argues:

“Appointment sex with your spouse doesn’t always arrive when you need it most. A modern cell phone, loaded with contacts of willing fellow players, has a table with a red checkered table cloth ready for you at virtually any time.”

It's Unwanted Nudity Week at The Hollywood Gossip.

First, Khloe Kardashian sat for an interview on Fox News with her nipple exposed to viewers for a solid five minutes.

Now, photographic evidence has emerged of Anthony Weiner's wiener, proof that the Congressman didn't just Tweet photos of his underwear-clad crotch to random women on the Internet. The horny moron erected a shrine to himself online... literally!

Turns out, Anthony Weiner can do more with his penis than simply send pics of it over Twitter. The embattled Congressman can also use it to procreate.

In a shockingly-timed turn of events, sources confirm that Weiner's wife, Huma Abedin, is pregnant. She just revealed the news to her husband this week.

Anthony Weiner will have an important lesson to teach his children: Don't be like daddy.

On Monday, the politician admitted that he had sent numerous women inappropriate photos of himself, while also acknowledging relationships with them that settled somewhere between mistress and pen pal.

During an emotional press conference, Weiner referred to Abedin - who is an aide to Hillary Rodham Clinton - as a "remarkable woman" and said the couple would remain together.

If this isn't one of the top Daily Show moments in history, it's up there.

Coming under fire for going too easy on his friend, embattled Rep. Anthony Weiner, in recent days, Jon Stewart held a mock press conference to "resign."

In order to deal with the pain of quitting his post, he felt compelled to make a series of drinks (obviously) and cut his hand on broken glass in the process.

Watch Stewart hilariously continue the sketch while bleeding out:

Many critics felt the Daily Show's softball handling of Weiner, a known friend of Jon's, was absurd given that ... it's Jon Stewart. And it's Weinergate!

Apparently the critiques hit home with Stewart, who acknowledged this as only he can, “resigning” from his lofty post for failing to do his job properly.

In a similar setting to where Weiner gave a press conference a day earlier, admitting he sent lewd pics and "taking responsibility," Jon followed suit.

Some words - and shards of glass - cut too deep to ignore.
