There's changing one's look or appearance, and then there are these 13 celebrities, who became completely unrecognizable from how we once knew them.

Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay Lohan compared to what she looked like as a fresh-faced teenager, not even 10 full years ago? Pretty astounding and not in a good way.

Either for a period in their lives, or for good (Renee Zellweger's face likely isn't going back to its Bridget Jones version), this is stuff you couldn't make up.

Not even if you used all the makeup in the world. We can't believe these dramatic transformations, especially among some stars who are still so young.

Some celebs' looks naturally change, of course, as they age from child teen stars to adults, so it's unfair to say that doesn't play at least some role here.

This is part of why Renee Zellweger then and now photos shocked the Internet so much this week, though. Renee is 45, and the change was recent.

Relatively speaking, the Zellweger we envision when we hear her name still looked more or less the same just a few years ago (see gallery below).

Angus T. Jones has spoken out once again about Two and a Half Men.

The young actor, who trashed the sitcom as filth in November 2012, gave a radio interview on March 15 in which he opened up about his decision to leave a $300,000-per-episode paycheck.

“It was difficult for me to be on the show and be part of something that was making light of topics in our world where there are really problems for a lot of people," Jones told KHOU. "I was a paid hypocrite because I wasn’t OK with it and I was still doing it."

The 19-year old portrayed Jake Harper on the series for about 10 years before choosing to exit for personal and religious reasons.

Friends are worried about Angus T. Jones.

The Two and a Half Men star, who has been bumped to recurring status for Season 11, made headlines in November for referring to the sitcom as filth.

Now, the 19-year old is sporting a scruffy beard and disheveled appearance and one friend tells The New York Daily News that Jones "“seems to be suffering some kind of breakdown. He appears in denial about the whole saga. And he just doesn’t want to look like Jake anymore.”

The actor may also drop out of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, with whom he has been affiliated for years.

Two and a Half Men has been renewed for an 11th season by CBS.

Stars Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer have each inked one-year deals to return, while Angus T. Jones will appear at least part-time this fall.

New Two and a Half Men Stars

His future had been in doubt since Angus T. Jones ranted against the show, calling it "filth" and saying he wanted to leave in a 2012 video.

That hatchet has been buried, however. While the 19-year-old will likely go to college after this season, he'll recur on Men when available.

Excited for an 11th year of Two and a Half Men - which will now go at least three seasons after Charlie Sheen's epic flameout? Sound off!

Angus T. Jones' outburst against Two and a Half Men was pretty bad ... but the show has seen a lot worse. That's basically Les Moonves' take on the situation.

The CBS President tells the Wall Street Journal that nothing will ever compare to Charlie Sheen's legendary crusade against the show's creator Chuck Lorre.

"I don’t think [the Angus T. Jones situation has] been quite resolved," he said, "but after what we went through with Charlie Sheen, it’s been a piece of cake."

Moonves says CBS won't fire Young, whom he referred to as “that kid on Two And A Half Men who’s getting paid $300,000 per episode to talk bad about me.”

You won't believe this, but Charlie Sheen has a take on Angus T. Jones.

And, even more incredibly, the former Two and a Half Men star is blaming Chuck Lorre for the recent rant Jones went on against the sitcom.

Angus T. Jones has apologized for referring to the show on which he stars as "filth" and for telling viewers not to watch.

A day after making these controversial comments, the young Two and a Half Men star issued a statement last night, being sure to show appreciation for those around him on set.

"Without qualification, I am grateful to and have the highest regard and respect for all of the wonderful people on Two and a Half Men whom I have worked and over the past ten years who have become an extension of my family," Jones said, adding:

"Chuck Lorre, Peter Roth and many others at Warner Bros. and CBS are responsible for what has been one of the most significant experiences in my life to date."

Charlie Sheen may no longer be a member of the Two and a Half Men cast, but controversy continues to trail this sitcom.

The latest surrounds star Angus T. Jones, who represents the fraction in the show's title.

In a wide-ranging, religious-based interview that has founds it way online, the actor slams the program's content and tells fans NOT to tune in for it on Thursday nights.

“If you watch Two and a Half Men, please stop watching Two and a Half Men... I don’t want to be on it. Please stop watching it, and filling your head with filth...

"People say it’s just entertainment. Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you’ll have a decision to make when it comes to television, especially with what you watch.”

Well, Chuck Lorre, the contentious ball is in your court. We can't wait to see how you play with it.
