Andy Roddick is a U.S. Open champion tennis player who can serve really hard. He is also a big time player off the court. We're talking...

An emotional Andy Roddick cried Wednesday as he said goodbye to his fans following his final match, a loss to Juan Martin del Potro at the 2012 U.S. Open.

"Wow. For the first time in my career, I'm not sure what to say," the teary-eyed, always candid 30-year-old former World No. 1 said. "Where do I start?"

"Since I was a kid, I've been coming to this tournament. I felt lucky just to sit where all of you are sitting today, to watch this game and to see the champions who have come and gone and I've loved every minute of it."

"It has been a road with a lot of ups, a lot of downs and a lot of great moments. I've appreciated your support along the way," he continued.

"I know I certainly haven't made it easy for you at times, but I really do appreciate it and love you guys with all my heart."

"Last, I just want to say thank you to my family, my mom and my dad, who are up here, who gave me every chance in the world. Thank you."

"And my support team, who's been there with me forever. One thing I'm not scared of about retirement is the people that I go home to. They're great and I appreciate it."

Roddick announced last week that he would retire from tennis after the U.S. Open, ending a career that saw him win 32 championships over a decade.

He won only one Grand Slam - the 2003 U.S. Open - due largely to the emergence of all-time greats Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. Don't feel too bad for him though.

Andy Roddick announced this afternoon at a press conference that he will retire from professional tennis after this year's U.S. Open, which is currently underway in New York City.

Asked why he's calling it quits, Roddick simply pointed to a gallery of Brooklyn Decker photos and reminded reporters that stepping away will allow him to spend more time with his wife.

Just kidding.

Andy Roddick Return

"It's a matter of how I feel, and if I feel I can compete at the highest level," he actually said of his decision.

Roddick owns 32 career titles and won the U.S. Open in 2003 for his only major title. He's currently ranked No. 22 in the world.

The American star has banked $20 million in career prize money and enjoys a host of endorsements. He has also battled knee, ankle, shoulder and back injuries in recent years.

And, oh, did we mention he's married to Brooklyn Decker? Hard to blame the guy for walking away.

The 30-year old plays Bernard Tomic in the second round on Friday night at Arthur Ashe Stadium. Let's all cheer him on during this final run.

Tennis star Andy Roddick must have decided that a shirt only impedes his mammoth first serve ... because he ditched it for this new Lacoste commercial!

A-Rodd absolutely aces the spot for the new Lacoste Challenge 2 fragrance (it smells like tennis balls), showing off his crazy skillz and ripped physique.

It doesn't really smell like tennis balls. We made that up. Ladies everywhere wouldn't mind getting close enough to find out for themselves, however.

Damn you, Brooklyn Decker ...

Two months after tying the knot and creating a near-perfect gene pool for their future model and tennis player children, Andy Roddick and Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue mainstay Brooklyn Decker couldn't be happier with married life.

"It's great, it’s wonderful," she said at last weekend's Whitney Contemporaries Art Party and Auction in NYC. "Nothing's changed ... in a good way. So it's nice."

With these two, how could it be anything but?

Before honeymooning in Costa Rica, Brooklyn Decker's wedding to Andy Roddick on April 17 consisted of an intimate ceremony of close family and friends at his Texas home. The wedding included a performance by Elton John, as well.

"It was pretty amazing," she said. "It was unbelievable."

Was it the wedding of her dreams?

"Yes," she said. "Absolutely!"

This now concludes the news portion of this article. Let's move on to the more important component: A link to our gallery of Brooklyn Decker pictures!

Andy Roddick may be used to the glitz and glam of Hollywood – but having Sir Elton John sing at his recent wedding to Brooklyn Decker was "very, very surreal."

The tennis star writes on his official site:

"It was great to have so many of our family and friends make the trip and share the occasion," writes Andy, who wed Decker in his backyard in Austin, Texas.

"We had to set up a tent 'cause the weather was not agreeing with us, but it ended up working out, so it's all good."

Among the wedding guests were tennis stars Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi – and, of course, Elton John, whose gift was to sing at the couple's reception.

Having the music legend on hand "was beyond awesome," Roddick writes. "For him to make time for us, needless to say it was beyond amazing."

But still, for Roddick and his Sports Illustrated swimsuit model bride, being surrounded by so many loved ones was the best part of the day.

"It was one of the only times in our entire lives that we will have family, our best friends from home, and our professional worlds in the same place at the same time and it definitely all went too fast," he wrote.

Fortunately, our gallery of Brooklyn Decker pictures will always be in the same place. And you browse as slowly as you like. Click to enlarge:

Marrying in a twilight ceremony at his Austin, Texas, home, Andy Roddick and Brooklyn Decker's wedding day was an occasion the tennis star and model will always remember. Below are a couple of images from the weekend festivities.

On the left, Roddick calmed his nerves before walking down the aisle with a game of golf. On the right, Brooklyn dazzled in her white wedding dress.

Sporting a Vera Wang gown, Sports Illustrated model Decker, 21, tied the knot with the tennis pro, 26, before a small group of family and friends.

After the nuptials, the celebration continued at Roddick's local country club where his friend, Sir Elton John, serenaded the couple and their guests.

"They're absolutely perfect for each other," a family friend said.

Roddick and Decker, who started dating in 2007, announced their engagement in March 2008. The pair first met after Roddick asked his agent to track down a number for Decker, who appeared in Sports Illustrated's swimsuit edition.

Way to take initiative, A-Rodd. Check out our gallery of Brooklyn Decker pictures and you'll see how she captured the former #1 player's attention!

It's official: A Rodd is now a very, very lucky man.

Andy Roddick married his longtime, breathtaking girlfriend, Sports Illustrated model Brooklyn Decker, in an intimate ceremony last night.

"It was really simple but beautiful," a source said. "Just close friends and family."

Elton John performed at the event, which took place at the tennis star's house. Roddick proposed to Decker in March 2008, but said the couple wasn't in a rush to walk down the aisle.

That's likely because they were in a rush get exercise of a different kind in bed. After all, have you seen Brooklyn Decker photos?!?

For a good cause, of course. Not just for Brooklyn Decker.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Sir Elton John hosted his 16th Annual Advanta World Team Tennis Smash Hits event over the weekend, with the goal of helping out people with AIDS in Atlanta and surrounding communities in Georgia.

Brooklyn Decker, Andy Roddick's Wife

Several stars and tennis legends were there, including former U.S. Open champ and current hunk Andy Roddick, who went well beyond the call of duty to help.

A-Rodd originally was going to auction a private, hour-long tennis lesson to the highest bidder. Then he offered to take off his shirt for a little "one-on-one instruction."

Keep your pants on, ladies, the best is still to come.

Finally, the recently engaged Roddick offered to give a private lesson - fully nude! The winning bid of $15,000 came from a female fan.

How much would you pay to see A-Rodd nude?

If there's one thing the celebrity gossip world can't get enough of, it's crazy skanks looking for 15 minutes of fame via nude photos and sex tapes.

But if there's a second thing, it's the celebrity engagement! We've had so many to cover lately, we feel like it's our job! NOTE: It is. So great.

Just Heidi

Our new poll, which you may vote in any time HERE or by scrolling down on the right-hand side, asks which celeb couple will tie the knot first.

With seven tandems to choose from, we've come up with some key reasons why each might be the first to walk down the aisle - and why they might not ...

1. Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz

Why They'll Be First: New album just dropped, wedding makes great PR.
Why They Won't: Crazy Joe Simpson is probably shopping the rights to the reality show for it as we speak. Negotiations take time.

2. Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge

Why They'll Be First: She got pregnant at 16, why push this back?
Why They Won't: She's knocked up until summer, then needs a few months to lose the baby weight ... someone else on this list could sneak in before that.

3. Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag

Why They'll Be First: Will stop at nothing for money, publicity.
Why They Won't: Fight a lot on The Hills, already broke off engagement.

4. Andy Roddick and Brooklyn Decker (above)

Why They'll Be First: Have you seen Brooklyn Decker in a bikini?
Why They Won't: Summer and fall are the busiest seasons on the ATP tour.

5. Tiffany Pollard and Tailor Made

Why They'll Be First: He's Tailor Made for her (sorry).
Why They Won't: She's starring in another reality series this summer, New York Goes to Hollywood. Tailor Made (George Weisgerber) may have issues with the directors she'll have to sleep with to get parts.

6. Jared Padalecki and Sandra McCoy

Why They'll Be First: How can any couple pass up the opportunity to be known as McCadalecki?
Why They Won't: Perpetual protests by celebrity gossip outlets that will need to spell McCadalecki.

7. Sara Evans and Jay Barker

Why They'll Be First: People says they're "over the moon."
Why They Won't: Total wild cards. Unpredictable. Sara Evans' last marriage also ended with accusations of Craig Schelske's porn addiction. Those things make one wary to walk down the aisle again. Trust us.
