The woman accusing Ben Roethlisberger of sexual assault claims the football star forced himself on her at the hotel where she worked and that despite her repeated protestations and refusals, Roethlisberger would not stop.

He claims it was consensual and that the lack of criminal complaint filed by Andrea McNulty - the incident happened a year ago - proves his innocence.

In response, McNulty said she told the head of security at the hotel about the alleged sexual assault the day after it happened, but he completely blew her off and even threatened her job if she made this into a bigger issue.

The plantiff claims in her lawsuit that Guy Hyder - the chief of security at Harrah's in Lake Tahoe, Nev. - told her she was "over-reacting" and that "most girls would feel lucky to have sex with someone like Ben Roethlisberger."

Andrea McNulty claims Hyder told her John Koster - the hotel president - will "personally fire you for starting rumors about Roethlisberger's personal life."

Hyder told McNulty, according to legal papers, that Koster would be impressed by the encounter, allegedly saying "Koster would love you even more if he knew about this ... Koster would suck his d!ck if Roethlisberger let him."

In the lawsuit, Andrea McNulty claims she assumed the incident would be investigated by security, but Hyder "did not do his job of investigating."

As for why she didn't tell the cops, McNulty claims she was "afraid of the consequences of going to police authorities since it was obvious to her that Harrah's and it's [sic] personnel ... would side with and support Ben Roethlisberger."

She also claims Harrah's employees broke into her home and ripped files off of her computer, presumably for the purpose of defending themselves in a lawsuit.

Several months later, after Andrea McNulty claims she sought psychological treatment because of the encounter, she claims she had a conversation with Hyder.

The accuser says she told Guy Hyder that she had been hospitalized specifically because of the Roethlisberger incident. Hyder allegedly replied, "I figured that was what was wrong, but I thought it was just like a date rape thing."

Andrea McNulty claims her bosses told her she was on thin ice at work. She is seeking $380,000 in medical fees plus an unspecified amount in punitive damages.

Andrea McNulty, the woman accusing NFL all-star Ben Roethlisberger of sexual assault, claims she warned the football player "You don't want to do this."

According to her lawsuit, he refused to let her go.

It appears the two knew each other because Ben stayed at the hotel where she worked to play in golf tournaments in the last few years. It also appears Roethlisberger and McNulty had a sexual encounter that Ben says was consensual.

What follows is her account, not his. This was not verified by a police investigation (there was none, in fact). Be advised that this is one only side of what happened that night, and some of the details are upsetting.

An employee at the Harrah's hotel in Lake Tahoe, McNulty says that on July 11, 2008, at 10:00 p.m., she ran into Roethlisberger in the hotel hallway.

The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback told her the sound on his TV wasn't working and allegedly asked her to come and "take a quick look" at it.

After she tried to call other hotel employees to fix the TV, Andrea McNulty ultimately decided to go to Ben Roethlisberger's room to fix it herself.

Once she got to the room, McNulty looked into it but claims she determined there was no problem with the TV. Then, as she tried to leave, Roethlisberger stood in her way, "grabbed [her] and started to kiss her."

McNulty claims that she was "shocked and stunned that this previously friendly man, that appeared to be a gentleman in her previous contacts with him was suddenly preventing her from leaving, was assaulting and battering her."

She says she "communicated her objection and lack of consent," but he refused to stop and began "fondling [her] through her dress and between her legs."

Details of the suit were not available late Monday. Ben Roethlisberger was one of nine defendants listed in the online court docket report.

Sources say McNulty claims Roethlisberger asked her to come to his hotel room in July, 2008 - and then forced her to have sex with him.

An employee at Harrah's Hotel in Reno, McNulty is suing for sexual assault and battery, false imprisonment and infliction of emotional distress.

The football star's attorney released a statement to several media outlets confirming that Ben is accused of sexual assault by Andrea McNulty.

David Cornwell denied Ben sexually assaulted anyone, and said he was confident this would be proven, with the following statement:

"This weekend Andrea McNulty served Ben Roethlisberger with a civil complaint accusing him of sexually assaulting her in July 2008. Ben Roethlisberger has never sexually assaulted anyone; especially Andrea McNulty."

"The timing of the suit and the absence of a criminal complaint and investigation are compelling evidence of the absence of criminal conduct. If an investigation is commenced, Ben will cooperate fully and Ben will be fully exonerated."
