Amy Winehouse Biography
Amy Winehouse is talented British singer and train wreck.
This R&B / soul crooner, who's perhaps best known for her songs "Rehab" and "You Know I'm No Good" is married to another train wreck in Blake Fielder-Civil and is often seen looking like she just woke up in a gutter somewhere. But hey, that's the rock star life! She's a throwback to the days when rockers weren't all a bunch of whiny little introspective b!tches, and we respect her of that.
Amy Winehouse earned a whopping six Grammy nomination for her breakthrough album, Back to Black.
As of mid-2007, and continuing throughout 2008, her musical achievements have been a mere side plot to the utter debauchery that is her personal life. The woman does massive amounts of mind-altering drugs, and we are not talking about puffing a little herb here. Think heroin, coke and whiskey. Nightly.
Worse yet, Amy's hubby Blake Fielder-Civil has been incarcerated, held without bail and sentenced to 27 months on charges that he tried to bribe his way out of an assault case.
Amy Winehouse has been distraught without her Blake.
We can only hope he gets released early. For our sake, at least. He might be even more entertaining than she is.
For her own safety, though, he better stay behind bars for a long ass time. Luckily, he seems intent on doing so of his own free will, turning down early release TWICE because he would have to go to rehab and/or live with his mom. Living with one's parents would suck, we gotta give Blake that.
