Amber Portwood is a star on MTV's Teen Mom. She is the mother of Leah Leann Shirley, whose father is Gary Shirley, Amber's on-off fiance whose ass she occasionally whomps.
Amber's journey into parenthood has been tough; she struggles to parent Leah, and stay with Gary. She used to be a self-declared party girl, but now has little time for it. Sad.
In Season One, Amber dropped out of high school when she discovered she was pregnant, but now is working on obtaining her GED. Her dream of opening her own beauty salon seems far fetched now. Anxiety was taking a major toll on her, as was Gary. She thought they were pregnant again but it is not the case.
In the second season, their relationship did not get any less rocky, with another proposal followed by another breakup. Amber continues to be verbally and physically abusive towards Gary.
