Following last week's unsurprising surprise, all four American Idol finalists returned to the big stage last night.

And all impressed once again, with Candice Glover, Amber Holcomb, Kree Harrison and Angie Miller tacking classics from years ago and current hits from minutes ago.

But who stood out the most? That honor most once again go to Glover, who made like Rihanna on a version of "Diamond" that some might say showed up the original take. Judge for yourself now:

The other women went with Bruno Mars, Pink and Carrie Underwood for their modern day rendition.

Did a new favorite emerge on American Idol last night?

With the judges seemingly against Candice Glover and Kree Harrison from the start - and with the remaining women singing both a song of their choice and a one-hit wonder - the stage was set for a new finalist to take charge.

And Angie Miller stood right up and did just that. Actually, she sat right down at piano and did just that.

Watch her sterling rendition here of "Who You Are."

Was this the top performance of the evening?

The ratings may not be there on American Idol Season 12.

But the talent is very much present.

With Janelle Arthur being eliminated this week, we are down to the final four - and any one of Candice Glover, Amber Holcomb, Kree Harrison and Angie Miller could take the grand prize next week.

American Idol Final 4

Who do we think deserves it? Once again, THG presents our American Idol Power Poll below, ranking the finalists from fourth to first...

4. Amber Holcomb. While her performance of "What Are You Doing For The Rest of Your Life" was technically flawless, it was old and a sleepy way to end the night. Amber struggles with the up-tempo numbers and isn't as versatile as the other girls.

The American Idol Top 8 took their act to Detroit this week, covering songs by artists who hail from the Motor City.

Did this variation on Motown Night pay off? For some, yes.

Janelle Arthur broke out her guitar and broke down "You Keep Me Hangin’ On" in very impressive fashion. See for yourself:

For others? Far less so, most notably Angie Miller, who failed to show the "fun crazy side" she promised prior to her failure to really rock out on "Shop Around."

And Lazaro Arbos, who attempted to cover Stevie Wonder and whose voice was simply not up to the challenge. Will it finally be time to say goodbye to Arbos tonight?

The American Idol Top 9 tackled the Fab 4 this week.

Yes, it was the annual Beatles songbook-themed night for Candice Glover, Burnell Taylor and our other Season 12 finalists.

Which contestants stand the best chance of moving on?

Glover was her typically excellent self on "Come Together," but she may have been overshadowed by two other female hopefuls:

The American Idol Top 10 gave it their all Wednesday with "Songs of the Idols," i.e. tracks used on the show by previous contestants or later released by winners.
