The on-again-off-again relationship between Amanda Seyfried and Ryan Phillippe is off again.

The movie stars, who met in October, split in February, and then got back together in March have now broken up again.

"It was mutual," a source tells Us Weekly. "They were never fully committed... There's no bad blood. They're cool."

Phillippe was once married to Reese Witherspoon and also dated actress Abbie Cornish. Seyfried, meanwhile, ended a three-year relationship with Dominic Cooper last year.

Amanda Seyfried's long-rumored romance has now been confirmed.

The Red Riding Hood actress coyly tells Elle that she's been dating Ryan Phillippe since they met at Kate Hudson's Halloween party last October.

She also admits her previous relationship with actor Dominic Cooper ended abruptly, when she discovered he was still seeing his old girlfriend.

"I was just kind of foolishly thinking the two of them were done and Dom and I were involved. But we weren't really as involved as I thought," Amanda said.

"So I got my heart broken pretty hard. And then it took a long time for us to break up again. After that, it's really hard to open myself up to a new person."

She admits that the split ruined her chance at a relationship with True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard, although it all worked out in the end. With Phillippe.

Well, provided Ryan and Rihanna aren't ... you know.

Ryan Phillippe and Amanda Seyfried, who have been a couple for a few months now, were spotted having an intense conversation the week before last.

This sparked rumors that the two are on the rocks, if not over for good, because days later, Phillippe was already on the prowl, trying to pick up Rihanna.

"He said something to the effect of, 'What are you doing tonight?' She said 'sleep,'" a source said. "She was polite, but she was genuinely not interested."

Ryan Phillippe truly is happy for Reese Witherspoon. Not just because he's mature and she's the mother of his children.

But also because the actor is doing fairly well for himself in the love department: Phillippe was spotted out with Amanda Seyfried this week in Mexico.

According to New York Post sources, the couple was spotted dining at a restaurant in Tulum and "they were kissing all throughout dinner. It was a small, hole-in-the-wall restaurant." 

When she commented in a recent interview that she wasn't sure if beau Dominic Cooper is "the one," we thought Amanda Seyfried was just being honest.

Turns out she was being very honest indeed.

Seyfried and Cooper are no longer dating. "Amanda and Dominic have been on and off for a while – and right now they're taking a break," a source says.

"But they're great friends and could still get back together."

While Seyfried has been promoting her new movie Letters to Juliet, Cooper has been at the Cannes Film Festival, where he was spotted talking to - RUN!!!

Sorry, we wanted to give Amanda and fans a heads up before saying he was with Seyfried's former Mean Girls co-star Lindsay Lohan, with arms around her.

Moving on with Lindsay? A move worthy of a mean girl ... or guy.

Seyfriend and Cooper met while filming 2008's Mamma Mia! and had a long-distance relationship, keeping close via Skype and meeting when they could.

"There's nothing easy about [it]," Seyfriend tells InStyle.

Apparently nothing at all. But maybe someday soon.

Simply speak the consistent truth, explaining how you feel pressure to keep a thin figure because that's what Hollywood executives are looking for. Then, curse the system.

That's what Amanda Seyfried has done, as she says it takes "a hell of a lot of work" to keep off the pounds. She adds that her body is "always on my mind" and:

"If I have to diet, it's salad with protein, salmon and broccoli, no dessert. But what kind of life is that? So I work out a lot and I'm just pretty moderate about what I eat."

The movie star and former Big Love cast member says that such an obsession is simply, sadly part of her job description.

"I have to stay in shape because I'm an actress. It's f-cked up and it's twisted, but I wouldn't get the roles otherwise. If I'd been bigger, I don't think they would have cast me for Mamma Mia!"

Actress Amanda Seyfried is 24 years old, gorgeous, talented and actually does not seem like a desperate, Kim Kardashian or Heidi Montag-style attention monger.

Basically, that makes the girl a prime catch.

The upcoming issue of Glamour features three rising stars and bona fide cuties on different covers: Leighton Meester, Amanda Seyfried and Zoe Saldana.

For the publication’s 50 Most Glam Women of 2010 issue, it chose Gossip Girl star Leighton as “Most Stylish.” She's a good choice there, without a doubt.

Meanwhile, Avatar star Zoe was named the magazine's "Most Elegant" and Big Love cast member Amanda the “Most Down To Earth.” No arguments here.

We know Megan Fox pictures are smoldering, but it's time her co-star gets her due. With shots like this, there ought to be a film called Amanda's Body.
