Ali Fedotowsky endeared herself to millions on The Bachelor this winter, partly on her own merits but partly because she stood up to the hated Vienna Girardi.

In any event, the "energetic and charismatic career-oriented" girl from San Francisco "has re-prioritized her life" and will be doling out the roses this time.

On Monday, May 24, Ali Fedotowsky will star on the sixth season of The Bachelorette. Jake Pavelka who? The Bachelor is just a distant, stiff memory by now.

I Made a Mistake!

Ali pretends to "regret" leaving as she asks Jake for a do-over.

All but certain to be named The Bachelorette after her decision to leave the show was orchestrated by producers broke the hearts of many fans, this fan favorite is ready to make the right decision this time around - and put love first!

A native of Williamstown, Mass., she has set her sights on a reliable, funny and humble guy who can challenge her. Even though she's known for her work ethic, she loves to play. She enjoys hiking, wake boarding, soccer, and wine tastings.

Get your resumes ready, guys! Just no lame pilots from Dallas, please.

Was Ali Fedotowsky a good choice for The Bachelorette?

As we've predicted for weeks, the lovely Ali Fedotowsky was announced as the next star of The Bachelorette on last night's "After the Final Rose" reunion special.

The foregone conclusion was announced in the hour of filler following The Bachelor season finale, during which star Jake Pavelka somehow picked Vienna Giradi.

Ali Fedotowsky was a fan favorite on The Bachelor and made Jake's final four, but left of her own accord following a successful hometown date in Massachusetts.

Ostensibly, she left because she feared losing her job at Facebook. In reality, she may have been angling (or being groomed) for The Bachelorette spot all along.

Regardless, she made a passionate, likely contrived plea to return to The Bachelor, but Jake shot her down, saying he'd gotten too close to the remaining girls.

Ali Fedotowsky and Jake Pavelka

Spurned by Jake Pavelka, but also by her own dubious reasons for leaving The Bachelor in the first place, Ali Fedotowsky will get another chance to find love on reality TV.

So there was Jake's one-time front-runner, broken up and out of luck. Until she quit her job (her last day was Friday) for an even better reality TV opportunity.

"I'm flattered and I really feel great," she told Chris Harrison, who will again serve as host-pimp. "I am so thrilled and honored and grateful. I can't believe it."

"I'm not going to let fear dictate my life anymore," Ali said of her past apprehension this season. Mike Fleiss dictating it? That she's apparently all good with.

What do you think of the decision? Are you a card-carrying member of Team Ali, or would you have preferred Tenley Molzahn or somebody new all together?

Will Ali make a good Bachelorette?

Fresh off her drawn-out, not-at-all-staged departure from The Bachelor, rumors that Ali Fedotowsky will be the next star of The Bachelorette are already surfacing.

There has been no word from ABC, but it seems like a done deal.

Everything is lining up for this to happen. First, Ali became a fan favorite. Then, she voluntarily left the program, only to beg to come back on that fake phone call.

All a clever ruse to have Ali leave at the peak of her popularity, make fans think she coming back, only to have her "rejected" by Jake and leave us wanting more.

The only question is whether ABC offered her The Bachelorette spot ahead of time and orchestrated her whole "work-related" exit or if that part was actually real.

Either way, Ali Fedotowsky will be The Bachelorette. Bank on it.

Do you think Ali Fedotowsky will make a good Bachelorette?

The PR tour has already begun, albeit subtly. The announcement may even come during this coming week's "Women Tell All" reunion special. Gotta kill that time somehow.

Yesterday, Ali told Ellen DeGeneres that she would be "flattered" if asked to star on The Bachelor sister series. Host-pimp Chris Harrison says "she definitely has a shot."

"I think she would be a fantastic Bachelorette. I like women that have loved and lost, have learned a lesson, and you have Ali, obviously beautiful, a very down-to-earth, career-driven woman who learned a great lesson about love."

Loved and lost? She left, then pretended to want back on the show 40 seconds later! A great lesson about contrived reality TV is more like it, but more power to her!

Is Ali Fedotowsky a good choice as The Bachelorette?
