Ali Fedotowsky, who chose Roberto Martinez on The Bachelorette two summers ago, is said to be less than thrilled about rumors that say he's in talks to be The Bachelor.

Roberto and Ali split after 18 months together, and sure enough, he's being talked about as the star of Season 17 of The Bachelor, slated for early January.

"Roberto never shared his side of the breakup, and Ali is terrified about what he would say on the show and how she would come off," a source explains.

Ali F., Roberto M.

Who knows why she would care about a breakup that wasn't even that bad (supposedly), now that she's faded from the spotlight (mostly), but whatever.

Luckily for Ali, he may turn down the opportunity.

"He's very happy being out of the spotlight," a source close to the hunky former minor league ballplayer and current San Diego insurance agent explains.

"He hasn't ruled it out 100 percent, but don't bet on it."

If Roberto Martinez were to become The Bachelor, he would be the first minority star in 25 seasons (including eight Bachelorettes) of the ABC franchise.

None of the 16 Bachelors are married to their final rose recipient, although Jason Mesnick married Molly Malaney, his runner-up from that season.

Brad Womack's final rose is set to be doled out on The Bachelor season finale Monday. Reigning Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky knows who she'd give it to.

"I think both girls are great... but in the last two episodes, his connection with Emily [Maynard] has been undeniable," Fedotowsky told Us Weekly.

What makes Brad and Emily such a great fit?

Secrets of The Bachelor Finale

HE'S THE ONE: Roberto was for Ali. Will Brad be for Emily?

"It's been the little things that he's done - like he had that little picnic for her at the beginning outside. He is just so smitten with her," Ali said of "Brad's" courtship.

THG NOTE: Seriously, Al, you were on the show. You can at least give props to host-pimp Chris Harrison, who we all know sets up dates for his employees.

Anyway, Ali says when Brad is with Emily Maynard, the truest sign of love is that "he wants to do anything to sort of reassure her - like telling her he loved her."

"They are both southern and polite, and I just think they'd make a really cute little couple. All along I thought it was going to be those two," she admits.

What do you think? Who should Brad choose on the Bachelor finale?

You don't really need The Bachelor spoilers or the reigning Bachelorette, Ali Fedotowsky, to tell you who Brad Womack has eyes for this season.

Ali's top pick, if she were doling out roses on Brad's behalf? Southern sweetie Emily Maynard, the 24-year-old widow and single mom. Shocker!

"I think he’d be a great match with Emily," Ali said. "Sweet, southern, knockout, beautiful beautiful. She seems like a total package to me."

  • Emily Maynard Picture

Are Chantal O'Brien (left) and Emily Maynard locks for hometown dates?

The Fox 5 San Diego correspondent, who visited The Bachelor to "assist Brad" with fiance Robert Martinez, also clicked with Chantal O'Brien.

"She's so raw - matter of fact, down-to-earth," Fedotowsky said. "I don't know as much about a match with Brad, but I like her personally."

Those are our two picks to make the final rose ceremony as well. We just get a feeling they have an edge over all the other girls, don't you?

What do you think? Brad Womack should totally pick ...

The Bachelorette star Ali Fedotowsky, whose season premiered last night, says she's no longer feuding with nemesis Vienna Girardi. All together now ... Phew.

Chris Harrison, the show's pimp-in-chief, confirmed the hatchet burying at Dancing With the Stars (which aired right after The Bachelorette season premiere).

The two ladies, who famously clashed on The Bachelor while in competition for Jake Pavelka, even "hugged each other and, said 'Hi,'" back stage at the taping.

"That's one of the ways Ali has grown as a person," Chris said.

What, by not being a completely catty b!tch? Great job, Ali!

  • Bachelorette Ali
  • Vienna Girardi Topless

The Bachelorette star Ali, left, and The Bachelor winner Vienna ... yeah.

Back in the day, Ali Fedotowsky would call out Vienna Girardi for, among other things, bragging that she'd "shake her boobs in Jake's face," but not any longer.

"[Ali] regretted some of that," Harrison added. "I get it. Look, in the heat of the moment, on the show, you say some things, you regret certain things, there are things you look back and might not do and that was one of them. She apologized for that."

Fedotowsky is "so happy for Jake," Harrison went on about the new star. "She realizes now that it wasn't meant to be, she wasn't supposed to be with Jake."

Harrison said he thinks Vienna Girardi got a bad rap as the villain on the show, and that anyone writing her off is presumptuous. Can't we all just get along?

Apparently we can/ Jake Pavelka even posted a pic on Facebook of him, his fiancee and Ali. Oh, how times change (click here to be THG's Facebook friend).

Vienna Girardi won The Bachelor Monday night. Maybe you heard.

This revelation came not only as a shock, but a huge disappointment to a large portion of the ABC series' viewers, many of whom had fallen in love with Tenley Molzahn and/or Ali Fedotowsky and were hoping Jake would feel the same way.

According to Us, it was all part of her EVIL MASTER PLAN!

Vienna Girardi complained on the finale that her fellow contestants - particularly Ali, now the next Bachelorette, hated her. Perhaps they had good reason.

The magazine speculates that Vienna "set a trap" for Ali, and her adversary fell right into it, eventually taking herself out of the running. Diabolical ...

Vienna Tricks Jake

TURNING TRICKS: Jake was apparently punked by Vienna. Sucks for him.

"You don't see the things Vienna said to me. They were very hurtful," Ali said on the post-finale "After The Final Rose" special, and she took it personally.

"Vienna would always thank us for coming to her 'bachelorette' or 'engagement party,' then tell us we were all going home," another contestant reveals.

"Ali would just call her out on it."

Fiercely competitive Vienna ("she always had to one-up people," another castoff says) zeroed in on Ali as her main rival and vowed to TAKE HER OUT.

"Vienna would say to Ali that she was going to shake her boobs in Jake's face," explains another show insider. And oh, how she shook said boobs. Hard.

One of the girls in the house offers this theory for how Vienna was able to compel Jake Pavelka despite what some think are so many negative qualities:

"I think Jake hasn't ever been with a girl like Vienna and is experiencing a 'wild side.' Once she figured that out, maybe she was a little more seductive."

That about sums it up. Will Jake and Vienna last?

As we've predicted for weeks, the lovely Ali Fedotowsky was announced as the next star of The Bachelorette on last night's "After the Final Rose" reunion special.

The foregone conclusion was announced in the hour of filler following The Bachelor season finale, during which star Jake Pavelka somehow picked Vienna Giradi.

Ali Fedotowsky was a fan favorite on The Bachelor and made Jake's final four, but left of her own accord following a successful hometown date in Massachusetts.

Ostensibly, she left because she feared losing her job at Facebook. In reality, she may have been angling (or being groomed) for The Bachelorette spot all along.

Regardless, she made a passionate, likely contrived plea to return to The Bachelor, but Jake shot her down, saying he'd gotten too close to the remaining girls.

Ali Fedotowsky and Jake Pavelka

Spurned by Jake Pavelka, but also by her own dubious reasons for leaving The Bachelor in the first place, Ali Fedotowsky will get another chance to find love on reality TV.

So there was Jake's one-time front-runner, broken up and out of luck. Until she quit her job (her last day was Friday) for an even better reality TV opportunity.

"I'm flattered and I really feel great," she told Chris Harrison, who will again serve as host-pimp. "I am so thrilled and honored and grateful. I can't believe it."

"I'm not going to let fear dictate my life anymore," Ali said of her past apprehension this season. Mike Fleiss dictating it? That she's apparently all good with.

What do you think of the decision? Are you a card-carrying member of Team Ali, or would you have preferred Tenley Molzahn or somebody new all together?

Will Ali make a good Bachelorette?

NOTE: This article is about the 2010 season. For all the dirt on Brad Womack's second season (2011), follow the link here for The Bachelor spoilers galore.

From the beginning of the season, The Hollywood Gossip has been covering every second of the contrived, but entertaining action that is ABC's The Bachelor.

We've also been passing on gossip and rumors that, at least until now, have proven to be correct. But there is great speculation brewing about the finale.

Does Jake Pavelka really pick Vienna Girardi over Tenley Molzahn? Even in light of some of the stories that have surfaced about the former in recent weeks?

Is there a shocking twist, such as Jake dumping both girls, a la Brad Womack, or a reunion with Ali Fedotowsky, who left the program to return to her "job"?

Pretending to Look Conflicted

Jake Pavelka nears his heart-wrenching, terrible decision.

Some of the online rumors we've read heading into Monday's season finale and subsequent "After the Final Rose" special do suggest that shocking scenario.

Other theories? Vienna dumping Jake on the ATFR show. The ending was re-filmed after Jake changed his mind. One of the two is pregnant. The list goes on.

Well, our man Reality Steve, whose inside intel has confounded Mike Fleiss and delighted THG for several seasons, has come through again with ATFR scoop.

This is obviously not confirmed, because we were not in the room for the ATFR taping, but the man is rarely (if ever) wrong, so his spoilers are pretty legit.

Fans hoping for a fairy-tale ending to The Bachelor may get exactly what they want ... well, no they won't, unless your idea of a fairy tale is Vienna Girardi winning.

Or so we've heard. But OK! Weekly is spinning quite a yard in its new issue about "what’s next" for Jake Pavelka and Ali Fedotowsky, who "put their love on hold."

OMG it is meant to be. You can't stand in the way of this love, Tenley Molzahn. Take a hike, Vienna. Neither can match Jake and Ali's unbridled passion ... right?

Wrong. But OK! really wants you to believe this.

The star-crossed pair melted into each other’s arms in a reunion behind the scenes at the taping of ABC’s The Bachelor: Women Tell All, the magazine suggests.

Jake and Ali to Reunite!

SECRET REUNION: Is one in the cards for Jake and Ali? We don't buy it.

It was every bit as romantic as their fans wished it would be, too ... it almost makes one forget how Ali Fedotowsky left the show to become the next Bachelorette.

“They both held each other as long as they could and had their arms wrapped around one another,” a witness says. OMG, we are getting hot just thinking about it.

There is no doubt Jake was into Ali - she was his frontrunner, he says - but are they in love now? OK! claims they are, and claims to know things about ...

  • The secret reunion (unlikely)
  • Their hotel hookup (more unlikely)
  • Ali's past (more dead relatives' houses?)
  • Jake’s current feelings for her (likely G-rated)
  • Jake's plan to win Ali Fedotowsky back (arrive out of nowhere in pilot's uniform a few episodes into the next season of The Bachelorette)

We wouldn't hold your breath for any of this, no matter how MFEO you think Jake and Ali are. If you believe these rumors, you need serious help, BTW.

The traditional pre-season finale "Women Tell All" reunion special of The Bachelor is always mostly filler - and a total misnomer, as they really tell surprisingly little.

Still, there were fireworks as Rozlyn Papa returned to confront Chris Harrison and the stage was set for next week's epic Tenley Molzahn-Vienna Girardi showdown.

As always, THG endured two freaking hours of the colon-tastic The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love: The Women Tell All to recap all the action in our +/- system:

Jake said self-defecating when he meant self-deprecating. Plus 3.

Wes Hayden of last season's Bachelorette is back for some reason. He says he's getting "a thousand more nibbles" on his dating pole these days. Gross. Minus 4.

Crazy ass Michelle tried to explain her crazy ass behavior, but just came across as even more unstable. Her best defense: "Ask my friends. I have a job!" Plus 9.

Chris Harrison didn't let up on Rozlyn Papa, but she held her own.

Rozlyn Papa was confronted by fellow Bachelor hopefuls about her relationship with producer Ryan Callahan, which got them both fired from the show. According to Ella, Rozlyn got on all fours, in wearing booty shorts and said to the women, "If you see [Ryan], send him in ... I need to be put to bed!" Plus 40.

The venerable host and pimp of The Bachelor, Chris Harrison, then took his turn with Rozlyn, accusing her of making stories up like his young son does. Minus 16.

She wouldn't back down though. When he said he was saddened by having to let "his friend" go, Rozlyn countered that Chris is no friend, having hit on Ryan's wife in New Zealand. Chris refused to "dignity that with a response." Awkward! Plus 25.

Jake Pavelka Shirtless

Shirtless Jake Pavelka has a tough decision to make next week.

The girls all praise Ms. Perfect, Tenley Molzahn. Jessie: "She almost fell out of a Disney movie." Gia: "She sh*ts rainbows." Minus 34 for them feeding us this crap just so we're devastated when Tenley loses next week. Brace for the pain.

Despite hating on her all season, the girls go easy on Vienna. Even Ali Fedotowsky apologized. Weak. Minus 46. We want catty comments and chairs thrown.

The next Bachelorette is going to be Ali Fedotowsky. In her interview, she said: "I believe life is measured by the risks we take ... If I could go back and do it differently, I probably would. I'm an advocate of women having careers, but I don't want to look back and say I didn't love enough." Excellent writing, story editors! Plus 30.

TOTAL: -3. SEASON: +9.

Who should Jake Pavelka give his final rose to next week?

by Free Britney at . Comments

Ali Fedotowsky hated Vienna Girardi so hard on The Bachelor. Heck, her biggest complaint about star Jake Pavelka was that he didn't get rid of Vienna.

But Ali, whose real world job was so demanding that she had to leave the show, but who's been doing interviews 24/7 since, says she's over that now.

"When I was in the house, did I think Jake and Vienna could have a long-term relationship? No, I didn't think that at all," Ali Fedotowsky recalled to ET.

"I was confused about him picking me and her. But now that I've had a chance to see them interact, I think they could have a lasting relationship."

Despite their clashes on the show, Ali says she has no hard feelings about Vienna Girardi: "I do think she is a decent person." Wow! That's progress!

Jake and Ali on The Bachelor

Ali Fedotowsky took herself out of the running on The Bachelor. Where does she stand on his final two women now that she's buried the hatchet with Vienna Girardi?

Of Tenley Molzahn, Ali says she is "innocent, sweet, nice and much more conservative. Vienna, by contrast, is "liberal, outgoing, likes to have fun and be silly."

As for whether Ali regrets leaving to be the next Bachelorette for work - especially after Jake confessed that she was the frontrunner before voluntarily bailing?

"When I saw Jake at the Women Tell All, I felt a lot of regret," she says.

"It was sad ... Sometimes when I am sitting at my desk at work, I think I made the right choice. What I can say is that if I have to choose between love and work again, I might chose love. I have to start focusing on that more."

Your tagline for her season of The Bachelorette, ladies and gents. She's been downplaying speculation so far, but bank on it. Anyway, regarding next week:

Who should Jake pick on The Bachelor season finale?
