Alexandra Burke was named the winner of 2008's X-Factor, Great Britain's answer to American Idol.
Burke was born in North London and is the daughter of singer of Melissa Bel, lead singer for the group Soul II Soul. Alexandra started performing at the age of five. She has four brothers and one sister.
