After missing a good month and a half, it's good to see Alex Rodriguez back playing the field again. He's also returned to the Yankees after rehabbing his injured hip.

Proving he's over his "affair of the heart" with Madonna, the blue-lipped head case has been getting it on with Kate Hudson, according to various Big Apple sources.

After Friday’s game, in which the Yankees defeated the Minnesota Twins, the two had an early-morning make-out session at Mustang Grill, New York Magazine says.

The Alex Rodriguez and Kate Hudson rumors were further fueled Saturday when she was spotted in the front row at Yankee Stadium, cheering on her man.

A-Rod homered in the 11th inning ... and perhaps went deep later that night as well after he left Lure Fishbar in Manhattan with the actress in tow!

Whether he and Kate Hudson are an item or just having fun - and what scandal, baseball or gossip-related, is going to plague A-Rod next - is not known.

Adam Lambert. Forget handing out roses; the American Idol favorite will toss them from a stage as he serenades the ladies lucky enough to remain by his talented side.

Brody Jenner. Okay, so he's already seeing Jayde Nicole nude every night. Not a lot he can do to top that. But things happen, and if it were to go south between The Hills star and the Playmate of the Year, what better way to rebound?

Alex Rodriguez. Think of how many Bachelor records the Yankees star could shatter - manliest-looking babes ever to make the final two, most time preening before dates, trips to second base in hot tub, home runs in the fantasy suite, etc.

Chris Harrison. The Bachelor host-pimp is a great master of ceremonies, but he really needs to get in on some of the action, don't you think? Imagine this "After the Final Rose" stunner: he's been married for 15 years ... and is staying with his wife!

The high-priced former madam who used to provide prostitutes for former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer provided the same services for New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez and dated him, the New York Daily News reported yesterday.

Kristin Davis, who spent three months in jail and is currently on five years' probation after pleading guilty to promoting prostitution, spoke to Newsday about the Rod.

"All I can say is there is a connection," said Kristin, a.k.a. Kristen Davis, and a.k.a. Billie Davis, when asked about A-Rod. She declined to comment on the allegations, saying specifically that she "doesn't talk about my personal life or who I date."

In the Daily News, she intimated that she was personally wooed by Alex Rodriguez. ESPN also reports A-Rod had a "personal and professional relationship" with her, which can only mean she sent him up with hookers and also boinked him.

Spitzer, who resigned in disgrace after the FBI busted him nailing Ashley Dupre, was referred to as "Client No. 9" by the call-girl ring, which Davis says had "10,000 rich, powerful and famous clients." Was A-Rod client No. 13?

"Throughout the years, there were a number of clients that I befriended and it was not uncommon for them to want the women they can't have, whether it be the phone bookers or the madam," Davis told Newsday semi-cryptically.

The Daily News story also included steamy e-mails purportedly between Davis and Rodriguez. Davis said "Other people have access to my client records as well as my personal information, and I can't control what has been released."

Rodriguez is divorced and has been linked to pop icon Madonna. A-Rod and Madonna have denied they are or were involved, but Rodriguez's former wife, Cynthia Rodriguez, cited A-Rod's "long period of infidelity" in divorce papers.

Alex's stormy recent months have also included a revelation by SI.com that he failed a steroid test, a hip injury that led him to have surgery, and a ridiculously lame Details magazine photo that shows him kissing himself in a mirror.

He is rehabbing his hip in Vail, Colo., and allegedly banging anything that moves.

Baseball great Alex Rodriguez is not exactly pining away by his lonesome out in Vail, Colo., where he's on the mend from recent hip surgery, according to sources.

In addition to romancing and getting to second base with his favorite human being - himself - in those narcissistic Details photos, he's making time for the ladies.

A-Rod reportedly has been hosting a "revolving door" of gorgeous beauties at his rented condo - one sexy ski bunny after the next, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

"I've never seen anything like it," a Vail observer laughed about Rodriguez. "His nickname [of A-Rod] is very appropriate." Yes it is. In so many ways, really.

While Alex Rodriguez bashes meaningless Spring Training homers, Jesus Luz continues to circle the bases with the lovely object of both their affections.

Worse yet for A-Rod, Luz is making an impression with her kids.

While the nurturing of their romance through Kabbalah (and a steamy W mag photo shoot) is generating plenty of celeb gossip heat, there may be another dynamic worth noticing in the affair of hot Brazilian model Jesus Luz and Madonna.

E! Online reports that the pop queen took her 22-year-old paramour to Los Angeles' Kabbalah Center on trendy Robertson Boulevard last Saturday.

While the former Mrs. Ritchie may be making an impression on Jesus Luz, it was Luz taking the time to get to know Madonna's eight-year-old son, Rocco.

"He was playing with Rocco than paying attention to Madonna," a source says, noting that Luz was also seen with Madonna and adopted David Banda.

Daughter Lourdes would be the last in the trifecta of children to impress as he strives to win family favor. Still, her PR peeps deny any romance with Jesus Luz.

According to the N.Y. Daily News, Alex Rodriguez has slithered back to ex-wife Cynthia Rodriguez in the wake of his steroid scandal - and Madonna is not happy.

"Madge is pissed!" reveals an insider, after A-Rod fled to Coral Gables, Fla., to be with C-Rod. "Alex ran right home to Cynthia. To Madonna, it's the ultimate dis."

According to sources, the Queen of Pop - who has been spotted with model Jesus Luz of late - is livid because A-Rod didn't come to her for solace.

The reason? "Alex's handlers want to make sure he's as far from Madonna as possible," says the insider. "He has enough negative publicity as it is."

Even after their messy divorce scandal last year, Alex Rodriguez is said to be finding comfort in the arms of ex-wife Cynthia amid the fallout from his positive steroid test.

No stranger to the spotlight, the Material Girl has gotten her fair share of attention lately by squiring Jesus Luz, a 22-year-old Brazilian, around New York.

But her camp insists that her dalliances with Luz - who's featured wet and making out with Madonna in W magazine's March issue - are just for publicity.

Considering his past relationship with Madonna, it's safe to assume that Alex Rodriguez yearns to be included in the celebrity gossip world.

People need to lay off Michael Phelps. Hitting the bong isn't exactly a performance-enhancer - nor does it make the swimmer a lying, cheating disgrace.

New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez, the best player in baseball, normally only makes celebrity gossip headlines for his actions off the field.

This story does continue that trend, although it's potentially far more scandalous than the railing of various manly strippers or even his now-infamous "affair of the heart" with Madonna while still married to pregnant wife Cynthia Rodriguez.

A-Rod tested positive for steroids while playing for the Texas Rangers in 2003, when he won the first of his three MVP awards, according to Sports Illustrated.

The supposedly anonymous results were seized in April 2004 by federal agents in the BALCO steroids ring investigation, which did not involve the Rod.

According to the report, Alex Rodriguez was one of 104 players on a list of positive tests for steroids that year, when baseball starting instituting "survey" testing to "determine the extent of steroids use in the game." The extent? Extensive.

Seen here cheering on Madonna, Alex Rodriguez is likely to hear even fewer cheers than usual (if that's possible) in 2009 amid reports of a past positive steroids test.

Having repeatedly denied having used steroids throughout what has been a prolific career (at least in the months of April-September), A-Rod did not comment.

"You'll have to ask the union," he said. "I'm not saying anything."

Major League Baseball's executive vice president for labor relations would not discuss the validity of the story, saying in a statement that the 2003 survey testing was only intended to be informational, and neither disciplinary nor anonymous.

While Alex Rodriguez is unlikely to face discipline over the findings - as baseball did not begin attaching punishment to positive tests until 2004 - the story most certainly will further tarnish Rodriguez's much-scrutinized career.

Jesus Luz is probably looking pretty good to Madonna right now.

Pop queen Madonna has been flaunting her hot, new, ridiculously young boy toy - Brazilian model Jesus Luz, 22 - all over New York City in recent days.

As a result of her actions, her other, slightly less young boy toy, troubled New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez, is reportedly far from pleased.

"It's embarrassing for him because [A-Rod and Madonna] have been so publicly linked," a source close to Rodriguez, 33, tells the N.Y. Daily News.

"Now it looks like he's been dumped for a younger stud."

One wonders how this will impact the baseball star's performance in 2009. The good news? His performance in the clutch cannot get any worse!
