The Robertsons are back and better than ever on A&E, and Wednesday's Duck Dynasty Season 7 Episode 1 saw them embark on a truly epic journey.

To Scotland! Duck Commander CEO, Duck Dynasty Executive Producer, Father of Five and Certified Boss Hog Willie Robertson had to go there on business.

What's the point of having a TV show if you can't bring the family along, as they've shown fans before and you know if you watch Duck Dynasty online?

Exactly. And Scotland offered the added intrigue of helping the Louisiana family reconnect with its ancestral roots in Duck Dynasty Season 7 Episode 1.

The one-hour installment was titled “Glory Is the Reward of Mallard," an ode to the both the clan's Scottish lineage and its current Louisiana lifestyle.

There is some culture shock, predictably. Scotland features much colder weather than the Duck Commander crew is used to back in West Monroe.

As expected, the family dons kilts, which leads to some memorable exchanges, and partakes in fishing and golfing as well as their area of expertise.

Wednesday on Duck Dynasty Season 6 Episode 7, what began as a friendly game of badminton escalated into a full-on battle for sibling supremacy.

Of the outdoor and wilderness variety. Even Alan got in on the action!

Often maligned and subject to his older siblings' harassment, Jep said of his badminton triumph over WIllie and Jase: “They are losers, just not very good ones.”

True to form, Willie and Jase challenged their brothers to ... anything.

Pick an activity outside, the hirsute duo boasted, and they will prevail.

Jep produced a comeback familiar to those who watch Duck Dynasty online: "I'm better looking and I'm my mom’s favorite. Beat that ding dongs."

The ding dongs' challenge? Getting dropped off in the middle of the woods, teaming up in pairs, and racing back to Phil and Miss Kay's residence.

Duck Dynasty star Alan Robertson can be seen vehemently defending his dad, Phil Robertson, and his views on homosexuality in a new YouTube video.

Minister Alan, the eldest of Phil's four Robertson sons, called his father "a 21st Century prophet" at a speech in Washington, D.C. earlier this month.

Phil Robertson doubled down last month on the homophobic views he famously shared with GQ with a fiery sermon at his church on Easter Sunday.

The Duck Dynasty patriarch quoted from the scripture in lambasting the homosexual offenders and criticizing the media response to his interview.

Alan, the beardless Duck Dynasty brother, then spoke up for his father at a religious event earlier this month, even likening Phil to John the Baptist.

According to Alan, Phil "has the heart and mindset of a prophet" with his "long hair, long beard ... naturally camouflaged, he ate off the land and he pointed people to Christ."
