As celebrity couples go, Akon and Polish singer Ramona Rey was not one we saw coming. Then again, he is Akon. We should never be surprised at his prowess.

The man who inspires us to smack that up on the floor may be bending Ramona Rey over. Sources say they met working on the video for his song "Oh Africa."

Akon and Michael Jackson

He was reportedly "charmed" by her. In Akon terms, that means he's "trying to find the words to describe this girl without being disrespectful." Hot stuff.

“When they first met, Akon said to Ramona that she’s beautiful,” a source said.

“When they were making the video, they were dancing together. The last day of filming, Akon said that he will never forget Ramona’s beautiful blue eyes.”

Ramona Rey beware: Akon has a kriminal record.

It seems the relationship is already progressing beyond strictly professional - the singers reportedly arranged to spend Valentine’s Day in L.A. together!

Cue soft, seductive beats of "I Wanna Love You" now ...

Akon knocked up some woman who now wants him to make child support payments - but she claims the only thing he does better than sing the hook on every song on the radio is hide from the process servers who try to subpoena his ass.

A lawyer for Sara Coleman has been desperately trying to serve Akon, even at the Michael Jackson memorial service, but so far has not done so. Dude is elusive!

The rapper/singer has already taken a paternity test, and it was a match! The kid is now six months old. The Konvict's lawyer issued the the following statement:

"Akon has taken responsibility and has been very cooperative and proactive in handling this private matter. Paternity was only established just over 30 days ago."

"Since this case was filed outside of Georgia jurisdiction, where he is a legal resident, Akon is currently in the process of engaging counsel in California and will continue to handle this matter in a timely, productive manner."

One of Akon's peeps got a special visit last night - from robbers.

According to TMZ, four to five "black males" - all brandishing firearms - rolled to a Van Nuys home occupied by a man who works for Akon last night.

They took a bunch of his stuff, including expensive stereo and recording equipment. Emphasis on the word expensive. Total heist value: $300,000.

And here's the craziest thing: According to one of the victims of this home invasion robbery early this morning - a man who works for Detail, Akon's producer - says notorious hip-hop mogul / tough guy Suge Knight is behind this.

Christopher Walker says that about 3:00 a.m., five men broke into his home with guns, saying they were there to collect a debt on behalf of Suge.

They claimed Akon's people owed Suge money and proceeded to collect.

Walker says Detail was asleep. The men entered his bedroom and did not wake Detail, which was polite, but they did steal $170,000 worth of jewelry.

He says the gunmen threatened to kill the four people in the house if they didn't get a key to Detail's safe. They didn't, but took the 130-pound safe.

They also took the stereo equipment and a key to a Mercedes. He claims the total heist was more than $200,000, while police say more like $300,000.

Walker says the feud ignited in Arizona on NBA All-Star weekend when Suge got his ass kicked by two men who worked for Akon, and that the incident was over the same alleged debt that triggered this morning's home invasion.

This is setting up to be a great feud between two of the music industry's most notorious convicts ... or Konvicts. Who will prevail?

For the second time in a nine-month span, Suge Knight got his face punched in - and the alleged ass-beater du jour claims to be Akon's business manager.

According to TMZ, it all went down in a private party at the W Hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona - where Suge was attending a party for NBA All-Star weekend.

Police officials say they were called to the scene by hotel security who warned about a brewing fight between two groups in the VIP area of the hotel.

When cops arrived, they saw a man punch the victim - Suge Knight - "two times in the head." It was a scene familiar to Knight after his previous beatdown.

Officers had to break out the tasers to "quell the fight."

Marion 'Suge' Knight Mug Shot

CLASSICS: Two of our all-time favorite celebrity mug shots, featuring Akon and Suge Knight. No word on why the former's manager beat the crap out of the latter.

The suspect, Robert Carnes Jr., was charged with one count of felony aggravated assault - they ruled it a felony "due to the severity of the victim's injuries."

According to the Scottsdale PD, upon his arrest and booking, "Carnes reported to officers that he is employed as the business manager for singer "Akon."

"Okay" then. Suge Knight - whose real name is Marion, which may explain a great many things - was taken to a local hospital and treated for facial injuries.

Akon was the host of the party at the W last night - a 944 Magazine All-Star Weekend wrap-up bash. The incident happened after the conclusion of the party.

Akon fans beware: The sweet-sounding singer appears to have a penchant for violence - or at least controversial behavior - at his own shows.

First he got his freak on with some jailbait tease in the Caribbean.

Akon and Michael Jackson

Then there was whole fan-tossing incident that landed him in court.

Now this! At a concert on August 30 in South American, Akon became aggressive with a concertgoer - a female, obvs - and it was caught on video.

After crowd surfing to a camera stand away from the main stage, Akon appears to shove one fan off the stand and hit another (!?) upon arrival.

Check out the video here ...

This is certainly one of the more debonair celebrity mug shots we've ever come across. Akon is nothing if not sharply dressed... and a little insane.

Prosecutors have formally charged Akon with endangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree harassment, after he allegedly threw some fan off the stage at a concert in New York State back in June. There's a video of it and everything!

Akon and Michael Jackson

In his court appearance Monday, he pleaded not guilty to the charges, and his lawyer issued a statement saying that Akon "deeply regrets" the incident.

Akon sure does take a mean, snazzy mug shot.

It is only fitting that this Akon booking photo comes the same day the African R&B singer earned four Grammy nominations for his album... Konvicted.

The video clip of Akon tossing a fan off stage into the crowd at a concert has come back to haunt him: Police are slapping the hip-hop star with criminal charges after a fan said she suffered a concussion in the incident.

Akon is scheduled to appear in a Fishkill, N.Y., court Monday to be arraigned on misdemeanor charges of endangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree harassment, the Associated Press reports this morning.

Akon and Michael Jackson

The charges stem from an incident in June when Akon was performing at a concert and someone in the crowd allegedly threw something at the singer on stage.

Akon asked the crowd to point out the culprit so he could smack dat. A security guard picked a 15-year-old out from the crowd and sent him up to the stage.

Akon promptly tossed him end-over-end into the crowd, where he landed on another fan, Abby Rosa, who told reporters she suffered a concussion.

The singer, who has been a magnet for controversy, later denied wrongdoing in the incident. There was no immediate comment from Akon's representatives. Presumably they are too busy writing lame songs that they think sound hard.

For all of those fearing that Hyde has jumped the proverbial shark, well, this isn't about to dispel that theory.

The man best known as Danny Tanner partied it up in L.A. Sunday. Yes, Bob Saget was the biggest celeb at Hyde, according to TMZ's club spies.

At least the Olsen Twins are old enough to get sloshed with him now.

Meanwhile, underage hottie Hayden Panettiere was spotted outside her home after visiting Nickelodeon Studios to support her little brother, Jansen Panettiere, in his new TV movie, Last Day of Summer.

Only 42 more days until she's legal. Just saying.

Back east, Akon and Samantha Cole were spotted rocking out to Amy Winehouse tunes in the Hamptons at the pleasure palace Star Room.

Fortunately, Akon did not smack that (well, at least not in public). We're sure he tried his best to throw someone off stage. Danah Allyene was probably mad jealous.

While Akon looked on, lyricist extraordinaire L'il Jon entered the scene and entertained the crowd from the DJ booth, taking over the beats.

We can only imagine, having heard his collaborations with Usher about 10 million times, that this involved a lot of L'il Jon screaming "Okaaaaay" and "Yeahhh!"

Meanwhile, back in the city, she of the large booty, Kim Kardashian and himbo Wilmer Valderrama rocked the Estrada Entertainment party at Home.

Hey, when you're no longer with Mandy Moore, you might as well move on to an inferior model. That guy's bedpost must be enormous to accommodate all those notches.

We've just heard Paris Hilton is out of jail. Which is too bad. We'll have more on that in a bit.

On an unrelated note, another famous Konvict, Akon, has agreed to cooperate with law enforcement (for a change) in the investigation of his recent fan-tossing incident, but believes he didn't commit any crimes, his lawyer said Thursday.

"Given the information that we have reviewed to date, it does not appear to us that Akon was involved in any criminal conduct whatsoever," his lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, said in a statement.

"We are prepared to fully cooperate with any law enforcement agency that may be investigating this incident. We are confident that after a thorough investigation it will be apparent that no criminal prosecution of Akon is warranted."

Police say the "Smack That" singer may face questioning after launching a member of the audience from the stage into the crowd during a concert last weekend in New York State.

The event was caught on video and posted online... making Akon's denial of any wrongdoing seem a tad ridiculous. But that's just the opinion of The Hollywood Gossip.

Police, meanwhile, say they have identified the concert-goer as a 15-year-old boy whose name is being withheld, the Poughkeepsie Journal reports.

Detective Lt. John Berlingieri told the paper the boy's mother gave police his name. So far, no charges have been filed against the man who likes to possibly bend people over.

Man, what is it with this dude Akon and 15-year-olds? Last month, he took heat for simulating sex acts with Danah Alleyne, 15, on stage in Trinidad. Gotta love it.

Akon, 25, has been in jail for a total of five years over the course of his young life for armed robbery and drug trafficking. He says that his time incarcerated made him what he is today.

That being a disturbed individual with strange sexual and rage issues that throws innocent fans off a stage as punishment for playing frisbee at his concert.

This time, he did more than smack that.

He frickin' threw that. Clear off the stage.

Akon and Michael Jackson

Alleged musician Akon may face police questioning after he chucked a fan from the stage into the crowd during a concert... an incident he can't really deny, since it's documented on video. See below.

Detective Lt. John Berlingieri of the Fishkill, N.Y., Police said officers were looking for the young man at the Sunday concert who was plucked from the audience by a security guard, directed up to the stage, then literally thrown back into the crowd by Akon, the Poughkeepsie Journal reports.

"We're trying to identify that kid, just to find out whether or not we have any kind of criminal offense," Berlingieri told the paper.

"We are looking to speak to him. No victim. No crime."

The fan-tossing took place at WSPK (104.7 FM)'s annual KFEST concert after someone in the crowd threw an object past Akon. A video showing the man being hurled from the stage has widely circulated on the Internet.

Reps for the collaborator of Gwen Stefani and Snoop Dogg, among others, couldn't be immediately be reached for comment.

This was the latest controversy involving the oft-troubled singer, whose Konvicted album has sold more than 1 million copies.

He lost his concert sponsor, Verizon, after another video hit the Internet showing Akon simulating sex acts with a 14-year-old girl in Trinidad at a concert of his.

There's another side to this jailbait tale, of course.

The girl, later identified as Danah Alleyne, was discovered on MySpace, and found to have lied about her age to get into the show... and by the looks of some of the racy photos of the incident, appeared to enjoy the special Akon "treatment."

Anyway. Here's the video of Akon throwing the fan off stage, including the prelude to the toss, as well clips of the launch from multiple angles ...
