What Adam Lambert Learned from Lady Gaga and Madonna...
Since coming in second on American Idol, Adam Lambert has accomplished every professional dream he could ever have imagined.
But while he's proud of his debut album, and excited to be touring the globe these days, nothing has compared to meeting a pair of his personal heroes: Lady Gaga and Madonna.
Speaking to Australia's The Daily Telegraph this week - in anticipation of his October 20 concert in that country - Lambert passed along the words of wisdom these icons shared with him.
Adam Lambert won't be donning a meat dress, but he'll be taking other pieces of advice from Lady Gaga and Madonna.
From Lady Gaga: "She told me about the previous three years. She worked really, really hard before she made it. She told me there's no glamour, you don't get a lot of sleep, you don't get a lot of stability in your social life - you just have to count on yourself and go for it. It was a good pep talk. And she was right."
Adam Lambert on Cameraman Clash: I Was Provoked
A few days after Adam Lambert tussled briefly with a cameraman (who proceeded to actually run to the cops over the incident), the singer appeared on the Nick and Nina Show on Y100 yesterday and explained his side of the confrontation.
Lambert calmly said that he had posed for pictures for about 45 minutes. He understands that the presence of the paparazzi is "part of the gig" for any celebrity.
But the photographer refused to stop snapping away, even after Adam said he asked the guy to give him a break because he just wanted to "kick it, eat some food and have a Piña Colada." Listen to Lambert's take below and then sound off in our poll:
Whose side are you on in this feud?

Adam Lambert Accused of Battery by Loser Cameraman
Looks like Adam Lambert did not take the advice we offered to Miley Cyrus this week.
Following that singer's tantrum at the sight of a paparazzo, THG said we understood how irritating those losers can be, but celebrities also must learn to expect such annoyances as part of the world in which they've chosen to live. The alternative is to give these parasites exactly what they are looking for: a story.
Lambert has learned this lesson the hard way, as the former American Idol finalist has been accused of battery.
The incident in question took place yesterday in Miami, as Adam attacked a photographer... who then filed a report with the Miami Beach police around 10:30 p.m.
In documents obtained by TMZ, the victim claims Adam grabbed his backpack "where the camera was placed" ... and "wrestled [the photog] to the ground forcefully." There were no visible marks of any kind on the cameraman.
Adam Lambert Announces European Tour Dates
Glam Nation is about to go global.
Following a successful run in the States, Adam Lambert will take his tour to Europe this fall. The singer has 10 more shows lined up in America, including performances in Hawaii, Florida and Georgia.
As this performance proved, Adam Lambert is popular in Europe.
But then he'll hop on a plane and take his act overseas. Lambert announced the following European tour dates/locations today:
Adam Lambert Lip Lock Alert: Singer Smooches Jake Shears
It's no secret that Adam Lambert enjoys a good make out session. This is the guy that coined the phrase "tongue diving," after all.
Now, in a new video from the Scissor Sisters, the former American Idol star is seen making out with lead singer Jake Shears... while Katy Perry looks on and captures the lip lock on her camera phone!
It's funny stuff (and Lambert and Perry really did attend this group's NYC concert last month) and you can watch all the action below. The spit swapping takes place around the 1:15 mark:
Adam Lambert Gives Major Props to Freddie Mercury
To many American Idol fans, Adam Lambert is one of a kind.
But appearing on NPR this week, the artist spoke glowingly of former Queen frontman Freddie Mercury, who would have turned 64 this Sunday if he hadn't died from AIDS in 1991, saying that singer was truly unique.
"It was about the music, but he also really captivated the audience because he was so electric. That's why he's an icon because you remembered what he did on stage, he had a presence," said Adam.
Some might consider Lambert - who is touring the nation and recently performed in NYC - the next Mercury, but the man himself says people such as Freddie are absent these days.
"There's definitely something missing in today's music scene," Adam said. "We don't have a lot of men on stage doing flamboyant or theatrical. We have a lot of female pop stars doing it, but where's the classic pop-rock showman?"
Look in the mirror, man. The onus falls on you. Good luck with it!
Adam Lambert in Concert: NYC Pictures and Performances
It's been a busy summer for Adam Lambert.
The former American Idol runner-up has navigated the country on his first-ever solo tour, entertaining audiences and tongue diving with a few fans along the way.
Earlier this week, the singer's travels took him to the St. George Theatre in Staten Island, New York. Once inside, Lambert put on his usual show, which included fog machines, leather and eccentric outfits. To wit:

Adam Lambert Goes Tongue Diving
Adam Lambert may have recently remixed a song, but he drew even more attention this week for remixing a concert tradition.
During a performance in Providence, Rhode Island, the eccentric singer took a few seconds away from covering Tears For Fears' "Mad World" and then T. Rex's 20th "Century Boy" to make out with a pair of lucky fans.
Of his actions, the singer Tweeted after the show: TongueDiving is the new StageDiving. Get Into It.
We know a few million fans that would love to get into it with you, Adam. The tongue diving takes place at about the 4:15 and 5:20 marks below:

Adam Lambert Releases Remixed Single
Adam Lambert might be touring the country with fellow American Idol finalist Allison Iraheta, but the singer found time recently to make a recording studio stop.
There, he remixed one of his latest hit singles, "If I Had You," teaming up with DJ/producer Jason Nevins on the new version. Give it a listen now:
What do you think?
As fans ponder that question, they should also prepare to get their Glam on. Here's why:
The singer has started a new contest on his official website. He's encouraging followers to Tweet photos of themselves decked out in glitter, makeup and eccentric outfits to @adamlambert, including the hashtag "#glamphoto" on all entries.
On September 15, the contest's grand prize winner will receive an autographed item from Lambert.
