Fortunately, it does not appear to be reciprocal. We're big fans of Adam Lambert, and advocates of gay marriage. We're just anti-marrying Perez Hilton.

In an interview with Parade, the singer shares his theory on why the celebrity gossip blogger took such interest in whether or not he would come out of the closet during Season Eight of American Idol, which catapulted Adam to stardom.

"I think he might have a crush on me," Adam Lambert theorizes. "That's what it feels like at least ... but I don't have a crush on him!"

He will admit, however, that he does have a "ton of celebrity crushes" of his own. But he's also the first to realize, "I don't know if there's actually that many celebrities that play for my team that are open about it."

"Maybe you should ask someone that question about me."

No Stopping Adam Lambert

Adam Lambert thinks Perez Hilton might be interested in him - and not just in the gossip sense. Fortunately for everyone, the reverse is definitely not true.

The American Idol runner-up, who has gone public with boyfriend Drake LaBry and said in no uncertain terms that he is gay in Rolling Stone, has been thrust into the spotlight even faster and more often than the show's champ, Kris Allen.

His newfound fame comes with the burden of having millions of people looking at him, and not because of his singing skills - at least not strictly for that reason. Many are looking to Lambert to be an active voice in the gay community.

"[I do feel the pressure] a little bit, by default," he admits.

"Honestly, I'm so wrapped up in the process of creating music that I don't really have the energy to go there right now. Who knows what the future may hold, but I'm an entertainer and that's what I want to put my energy into right now."

Attention female Adam Lambert fans: all hope isn't lost!

In an interview with 20/20 last night, the American Idol finalist confirmed that he's gay... but he didn't exactly rule out future make out sessions - and maybe more! - with the opposite sex.

"I wouldn't ever give myself the label bisexual, but bi-ciurous, yeah. I've been known to make out with girls from time to time," Lambert says in the video below. "Couple drinks invovled, you know, it's fun. And who knows, maybe it'll go further someday, I dunno."

Be honest. How many women just ran out to get Lambert a drink?

Like receiving props from Simon Cowell after an intense performance, Adam Lambert feels liberated by his recent Rolling Stone admission.

"I'm really happy with it. The cover looks great. It was great working with [photographer] Matthew Rolston," the singer told Us Weekly this at week. "And the title - 'The Liberation of Adam Lambert' - I do feel liberated. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders."

Lambert insists he wasn't hiding his sexual orientation during his run on American Idol; he just didn't wanna distract from his mission on that show: to sing and entertain.

"It's not like I was holding back before," he said. "I was being myself, but it's nice to have everything out in the open."

Up next for Adam Lambert: a summer tour with fellow American Idol finalists, a debut album and a lifetime of hit singles.

We already know what Adam Lambert proudly said in the latest issue of Rolling Stone: I'm gay.

But how did the American Idol finalist look in the magazine's pictorial?

Drake LaBry and Adam Lambert

We've uncovered a few outtakes of the star, as photographed by Matthew Rolston. For example, Lambert had to get his eye shadow on before he could properly pose...

Meanwhile, in reaction to being called the "cute guy" by his good pal, American Idol champion Kris Allen told People: “I’m flattered and think it’s hilarious.”

So are these pictures. Click on each one for a close up of Adam Lambert:

It's been a big week for Adam Lambert.

While the official announcement of his sexual orientation has received a bulk of the publicity, the American Idol finalist was also honored on Sunday night with the Young Hollywood Artist of the Year award.

We've already posted a few photos from the event, but now we've come across a lot more of the singer getting goofy for the cameras.

In fact, Lambert appears to be doing his best Edward Cullen impression on the red carpet. Correct us if we're wrong, Twilight fans, but this is director Catherine Hardewicke that's on the receiving end of Adam's luscious lips, right?

I don't think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I'm gay.

And, with those words, Adam Lambert officially comes out of the closet in the latest issue of Rolling Stone.

While the issue of his sexual orientation was obvious - and, for the most part, irrelevant - to any American Idol fan, Lambert has been bugged about his perceived homosexuality ever since he made a major impression on season eight of the Fox competition.

Last week, he held the hand of Drake LaBry outside a Hollywood nightclub, seemingly putting an end to the speculation. But now it's on the record, official, in print. Why did he wait so long to utter the words above?

"I'm trying to be a singer, not a civil rights leader," he told the magazine.

Yes, Adam Lambert is gay. The country can move on now.

Here are a few other excerpts from the article:

On being gay: I'm proud of my sexuality. I embrace it. It's just another part of me.

On rooming with Kris Allen: They put me with the cute guy. Distracting! He’s the one guy I found attractive in the whole group on the show: nice, nonchalant, pretty and totally my type - except that he has a wife. I mean he’s open-minded and liberal, but he’s definitely 100% straight.

On not coming out during American Idol: I was worried that [coming out] would be so sensationalized that it would overshadow what I was there to do, which was sing.

On keeping his personal life private: I'm an entertainer, and who I am and what I do in my personal life is a separate thing. it shouldn't matter. Except it does. It's really confusing.

On self-perception: I finally checked into my self-worth for the first time in my life, and the fact that it coincided with Idol is so sweet. I mean, I still have moments where I think, 'Oh, my skin is terrible, and I'm a little fat - I should really go to the gym more.' But for the most part, when I look in the mirror now, I finally see somebody who can do something cool.

So do millions of fans, Adam. Way to remain true to yourself!

The debut Adam Lambert album is officially on the clock.

In news less stunning than the revelation that he's gay, Lambert signed recording deals with 19 Entertainment and RCA this week; he'll soon start working on a CD that's expected to be released in the fall.

Headliner

“I’m thrilled that we’ve come to a creative and collaborative partnership and look forward to developing a really exciting album,” Lambert said in a statement. “We are 100 percent on the same page and are all anxiously awaiting the start of the recordings. It’s going to be ridiculous! Get Ready!!!”

Adam Lambert will soon have his own songs to listen to on his iPod.

Yesterday, American Idol champion Kris Allen also announced that he had signed a record deal.

Whose debut album do you think will sell better?

Last week, readers of The Hollywood Gossip got to know Drake LaBry.

But Kris Allen, along with most of the American Idol finalists, already met Adam Lambert's boyfriend during season eight of the show. And the series champion couldn't be more excited that his friend is now open with this relationship.

"I think he's happier that he can be himself and it's nice," Allen said to People, when asked about Lambert stepping out with his LaBry last week. "Adam is who he is and he's not afraid. I support him in whatever he does."

Allen added that LaBry is "a really nice guy and that he and Lambert "click well and they're really nice together."

Meanwhile, Lambert has confirmed that the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone will reveal answers to everyone's questions about his sex life.

"At this point, I think everybody knows everything, but once the Rolling Stone article comes out, people will know everything," he said at last night's Young Hollywood Awards.

At last night's Young Hollywood Awards, Adam Lambert may have arrived alone, but he left with some major hardware.

The American Idol runner-up walked the red carpet without boyfriend Drake LaBry, but picked up the ceremony's Artist of the Year award, which was presented by Kara DioGuardi.

The random ceremony recognizes outstanding accomplishments of emerging artists. Lambert certainly has to be included in that group.

They are definitely out now.

A few hours before Adam Lambert showed off his boyfriend to the world - as the American Idol finalist and Drake LaBry held hands outside a club Monday night - the pair posed for pictures during a trip to Kitson Men in Los Angeles.

Adam Lambert and Drake LaBry need a couple's nickname. Might we suggest... LaBry?

The staff at the clothing store said the couple was “really cordial and nice.” Lambert reportedly bought a Marc Jacobs Blazer for LaBry, the very same one he wore out later that night at Guys & Dolls nightclub.

In case we haven't mentioned it before: our staff admires the way Adam handled the issue of his sexuality. He was never ashamed of it, never hid it and didn't feel the need to make a spectacle out of exiting the closet.

He's just been living his life, always remaining true to himself. Props to him for that.
