I think Adam should do a GUNS N ROSES song! he would do awesome w/ Sweet Child o Mine. If he gets the chance to choose that song on American Idol, HE SHOULD DO IT! He would gain lots of respect from his fans. This song is perfect for him. I 100% GUARANTEE he would do great if not perfect this song. Think about it.

Haha - I think it's pretty hilarious to read people writing "Who cares if he's gay..." Gay, straight, somewhere in-between....has nothing to do with it! Not sure why it's even mentioned. LOL. I mean, hello - look at George Michael...hasn't exactly been behaving but (in my opinion) he is an AMAZING artist. (I am a straight female, in case you're wondering!) Adam is one hell of a singer and performer - I will be first in line to buy his albums, be at his concerts, and if he's donating sperm I'll take some! Ha - seriously, the guy is incredible to watch and yes - he is FINE FINE FINE! Dang.

Stephanie, I am feeling you girl!! As a 32 yo single mom of a toddler, I wait every week on pins and needles to see what Adam will blow us away with next. And we BOTH scream "We love Adam!!!" But, mostly, that smile, that sexy laugh. Wow. It melts me to my core. I don't care what "team" someone plays for - there is beauty everywhere we look, and he is someone I wish I could know in private life. His rendition of Ring of Fire and Tracks of My Tears were BOTH amazing - I am so tired of hearing the same old thing, blah blah blah. He is fresh, and has an amazing voice, and I can't wait for that 1st album!

Regarding your birth year song. "Take it Easy on Me" by Little River Band is a power ballad made for you. You could make it your own in 2009. It has a great bridge that will let your top end vocals kill. Please give it a shot.

He did a good job this week, but you ladies still make me scratch my head. Let's see:
1) You think he is hot, but he isn't interested in women. Um, just a stretch here, but I am willing to bet a large amount of money that any woman making that statement is as single as a fat man wearing a Speedo on a nude beach.
2) I have asked my countless female friends about Adam, and everyone (except one) say the exact same thing. They all think that he is creepy, and NOT SEXY AT ALL!! In fact, several of them told me that they can't wait until he goes home. The others told me that they can't figure out what some women see in him. One lady did tell me that he reminded her of Kurt Russell over Elvis.
Also, to the lady that said "How do you think Obama won?". All I have to say to that is "DUH"!! Did ja really not follow what I was saying there?? Um, I think not....

1) We do know that he is interested in men but does that rule out that he could be interested in women too? No. In fact, he might just be into the right PERSON, irrespective of gender. One way or the other, I don't care and none of his other fans do either. The pure fact of the matter is that Adam Lambert is burning hot. And truthfully, his "female side" just makes him even more sexy to women, he seems like he understands women like no straight guy even could. Sexy and understands women?? That's every woman's dream, and every woman can dream of him because he is not a real option for most women anyway (even if he would like women).
2) I am sorry but your female friends are all lying to you (to make poor you feel better about yourself). Poor you that you didn't understand that. The fact of the matter is that they are all totally hooked on Adam and drool over him when they are home alone. The man is a Sex God, how could they not!

1) Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking. What woman wouldn't want her man stopping by a gay bar and making out with another man before coming home to her?? That has got to be every woman's dream! lol
2) Most of my female friends actually brought the topic up. Here are a few of their statements. "What is up with that Adam guy? He is creepy and nasty!" And another one said "You figure that Adam will make it far because some weird girls out there are into the Gay/Punk Rocker look. I just wish he would get a haircut, and dress like a man." And yet another "You don't like that Adam guy do you? I can't wait for him to go home. He is soooo nasty!" And lastly one girl said. "I could almost like Adam if he would clean himself up, and quit wearing makeup. He makes me sick to watch him. How could any woman think that he was sexy? He is naaaasty!"
Those are their quotes ALMOST verbatim. And for the record, I wouldn't want these female friends of mine to "think" that way about me anyway, and none of them could really care what I think about myself.

1) Didn't you get it? He is not my man, and he never will be. He is not coming home to me from the bar, so I don't seriously care what he does with his free time. It is enough for my fantasies that he is hot hot hot.
2) They are lying to you. Only other possible option is that they are blind, deaf and stupid. And you know, most likely that is it, as they are friends with you.

We all need to realize that no matter how awesomely, wonderfully sexy Adam is and not matter how superbly talented he is, there are going to be a lot of Adam haters that just don't get it. I would compare them to the same type of folks who thought The Beatles and Elvis were the devil. I think they are old fogies and should just watch something else if they don't line the Adam show. And by "old fogies" I don't mean old age wise, I mean old attitudes and personalities. Just ignore them, we know Adam has HUGE appeal and he will be very successful despite the haters.

I'm from North Carolina (a typically red state unfortunately), very Southern, I'm happily married with three children, I'm female, I voted for Obama, I'm 48, my mother is 71, my grandmother is 93, and my daughters are 15, 21 and 23 and we all love Adam Lambert. My 50 year old truck driving husband also loves the way he sings. We all think he is one of the most amazing singers that we have had the pleasure to hear in our lifetimes. His voice is absolutely beautiful and his talent for making a song his own knows no bounds.
We do not want him as our boyfriend, husband, lover, or friend. We just want to listen to his music.
I've heard and read it all.
He's gay. So what. We want to buy his CD, not marry him.
He screams or screeches. No he doesn't. He just has such an incredible range and most people aren't use to hearing notes that high from many singers.
He ruined ROF. No, he didn't. He made a song even more beautiful than it already was and if Johnny Cash was alive, he would have applauded Adam's song. Johnny Cash was also given a very hard time by the Grand Ole Opry when he sang ROF after, yes, I said after his sister in law did, because people didn't like that he changed the song around. Johnny Cash didn't write ROF, his wife and sister-in-law did. And his S-i-L sang it first. I bet you didn't know that did you? Google the song Ring of Fire and you will see all the covers that have been on ROF. You will also see Adam Lambert's name on that wikipedia page.
Every one I know in this part of the South, thinks Adam is a wonderful singer and is wishing him all the best in the competition and in his career.
Have a little integrity and go to the singer's board you like the best and wish them luck instead of giving other people a hard time for enjoying the singer they prefer. In other words, if you can't say anything good, don't say anything at all.

I'm glad that you and your family like Adam, but you do not like him for the reasons the ladies above like him. I mean, come on, several ladies said they would wait in line for "sperm". That's just nasty.
As far as singing is concerned, he has a good voice. As far as look, character, and personality, he will have a hard time making it in the music industry. Mark my word, 3 years from now people will be asking, "I wonder what ever happened to that guy on AI who could sing really high? What was his name? You know, the guy who sang like Steven Tyler. Adam or something??"
Clean cut sales!!!! Just ask Carrie Underwood. Miss Entertainer of the Year for 2009. (Congratulations Carrie!)
Adam has too many things against him. He needs to get some serious advice from an agent, or someone who can help him. Here are the main items:
1) His look - It will never sale with main stream America. He needs to tone down the rough look. Sure you ladies think he is sexy. But, America won't buy into that. He needs to soften it up if he wants to win. (Just ask Daughtry)
2) His speech - "Gay" men who sound "Gay" will not appeal to main stream America. Ever wondered why Elton John and George Michael don't sound "Gay"? They want to sell records! Not cram the fact that they are "Gay" down America's throat.
3) His music - He needs to show America that he can sing more than just rock. He will need to figure out how to sell to Country fans and Adult Contemporary fans if he is going to succeed.
Look, the guy can sing, and is fun to watch. BUT, he is going to get old fast. If he keeps doing what he is doing he will be gone in the next 4 or 5 weeks.

Adam is gay, and I could never vote for a gay person. The Bible says that homosexuality is sin, and that means that Adam is in sin. I hate it because he is a good singer, but he needs to repent from his sin. If he would just come out and say "I'm not gay" then maybe I could vote for him. Until then I will have to vote for someone else.
Emogrl: I would say that one would be more likely to burn in Hell for taking up for gays. Not for speaking against them. Jesus spoke against them. Don't you read your Bible?

Considering how well he is doing and how many fans he has, I don't believe he needs to change anything. You may not like his look or his music or his voice (lol @ sounding gay. How exactly do you determine if someone sounds gay? He sounds educated and intelligent. If that means he sounds gay, then there are way more gay people in this world that I thought. Good for them.).
As far as knowing who he is or what he is doing in 5 years, I live in the here and now and in the here and now, he has the purest voice yet of any Idol Contestant and one of the best I've heard in my lifetime. There are many people that feel the same way. If you don't, then mute your television and don't buy his music.
You should be somewhere else posting for the contestant that you like instead of hating on the contestants that you don't like. People have their own opinions and although we are all free to express our opinions, your is tedious and smells homophobic and pretentious.

Who cares what other people dream about? Most times that is just a person’s way of coping with bad things in their own life and it has nothing to do with you or me. I personally think he is an attractive young man and if people want to dream about what beautiful babies he would make then its their dreams and no one, including you or me, has any right to tell someone what they can or cannot dream about. If you find it nasty, they why are you continuing to come back here and read the comments. Hypocritical much?
I've seen nothing from him that makes me question his character or his personality. He seems shy when the judges critique him and he always says thank you, unlike many other contestants. He seems to have very good manners and morals.

@Heaven 4 Me - Have you read the bible from beginning to end. I have. No where in the bible does Jesus or the Jewish prophets say anything about homosexuality. What you are doing is listening to other people's interpretation of the bible. Maybe you should read it for yourself. If you don't personally like gay people, then express that opinion. I’m a Southern Baptist and the God that I believe in Loves all his children.

Hah, well i love adam. sexy beast. my teacher (whos a guy) is married and has 2 kids and i showed him a pic of Adam and he was like "he's sexy!" hahaah my other teacher was like "He looks like he's gay.."

Did you hear Adam's rendition of Mad World? Absolutely Amazing! I checked out the Tears For Fears original and the Gary Jules cover version. Of the two, I prefer Garys. But Adam...blew me away! Another fantastic falsetto singer is Barry Gibb of the BeeGees. Adam has the look of a young Elvis and could play him in a movie. I think Adam Lambert will be around for a long time.
