I haven't been able to even look at television or read a paper since the finale. I was so broken hearted with the result, but not really surprised. Americans, in general, prefer safe and boring. We are living in strange times, people.
Adam will show everyone what a 'star' really is.

I justed watched the American Idol finale on TV tonight (the programme is broadcasted a few days later here in Europe). I seriously do not know what is the matter with the American voters. Adam Lambert is by far a better vocalist, entertainer and performer than Kris-What's-His-Name (bet half the population has forgotten his name tomorrow)! Personally, I've never been into Hard Rock and make-up - but hand on your heart America - did you really think Kris-What's-His-Name was better than Adam Lambert throughout the series? I only just read the rumours about Adam Lamberts sexuality - and so what America? Your ex-president was famous world-wide, for being a complete and utter idiote. Millions of people throughout the world subscribed to the daily Bushisms. I can only thank God, that the 10-15 year old girls who voted Kris-What's-His-Name the new American Idol, are not eligible to vote for the presidency of the United States. does it really matter what his sexual orientation is? he is an amazing singer! I don't care what ANY ONE does behind closed doors, none of any ones business personally, I thought the show was about the singing! which he does very well, I do applaud Kris for winning..he is very deserving, but so was Adam when it comes to SINGING!

The finale show was great until the end. That was the biggest let down ever. Adam was the best I've ever seen on Idol. America got it wrong. He rocked with Queen, he rocked with Kiss. In the long run he will do much better than Kris

Adam is absolutely fabulous and honestly should have already been professional. There are so many Kris' out there right now (Dave Matthews, John Mayer, Daughtry) just to name a few. Adam is exactly what this world needs right now to maybe bring rock'n'roll back to our country. Adam has been compared to Freddie Prince of Queen and Axle Rose of Guns and Roses, two icons who in many opinions have or had voices that are uncomparable UNTIL NOW!!!! HE ABSOLUTELY SHOULD HAVE WON LAST NIGHT, HE ABSOLUTELY WAS THE BEST NO COMPARISON, HE IS INCREDIBLE AND LAST NIGHTS SHOW WAS NOT A BEAUTY CONTEST BUT I THOUGHT A SINGING CONTEST!!!! Hi,
I'm from Singapore and here in Singapore, we watch American Idol live on satellite from the US on our free-to-air Channel 5 with an encore telecast during evening. I dare say, my mom and I are extremely impressed with Adam Lambert though I wasn't a fan to start off with unlike David Cook of whom I admire. And he has numerous fans here. No doubt we are very disappointed, but Adam really gives solid performance in all his performances. We look forward to his single/album and hopefully he comes to Singapore like David A.

What a travesty tonight! My aunt and I have sworn we wil never watch American Idol again! Adam is probably the best contestant American Idol has ever had. When Clay AIken was on American Idol, American decided not to vote for him to win because they assumed he was gay, and the same thing with Adam! I think Adam is AMAZING, and I am sick of the "Christians" judging people based on their sexual preference! I thought the bible and God said to "Judge not lest you be judged"! "Christians" run around judging "gays" all the time and trying to ruin their life, or in this case, keep the BEST MAN and BEST SINGER from winning American Idol! This was a SING COMPETITION, not a religious competition! Adam still should have won, and Clay Aiken should have won all those seasons ago! I wish "Homophobic people" would get a life and get out of the personal lives of others.

I cannot believe Adam lost--but it doesn't matter he will be a huge star anyway. I think Kris is a good singer but he doesn't compare in any way to Adam. But this way after the summer tour Adam will be free to spread his wings and the producers will be beating down his door. He will be the next big thing regardless

I am sorry that Adam lost.
He certainly is the better singer than Kris, however I guess people who voted for Kris voted because of who he is and not who Adam is (which is more talented). I am really bothered by how prejudice people can be, very sad that Adam (being gay) became a factor in the decision of a lot of people. Kris is talented and I think he's a nice guy but Adam deserves to win. Anyway Adam will be successful for sure no matter what. Goodluck!
