Does your Bible teach you to judge or love? I've been under the impression that only God is in a position to judge.
Does your Bible teach that "repenting" and lying to make other people more comfortable are the same thing? You said if Adam were to come out and say "Im not gay" you could vote for him. Do the Salem Witch Trials ring any bells with you? Lying about and denying who you are is a sin against God IMO...God made each of us with a purpose and to bring our true selves to the world to fullfill that purpose. Who are you to ask someoneto go against who God made them to be?

Adam is an amazing artist. He has an uncanny ability to deliver a song and evoke emotion in his audience like I've rarely seen. I too am a little concerned about where he goes from here and wonder if he would be better off NOT winning AI as I think we can all agree, it doesn't make much difference any more. His original dance demo songs he did a few years ago are already being played in clubs. I see him as a performer more than a recording artist..and that is a complement btw...and can't wait to get to a concert! It's going to be Madonna meets David Bowie meets Guns and Roses. Slammin'! I've been waiting for someone like Adam since the big concert/glam days of the 70's and 80's.
Which ever direction HE decides to go I'll be right there!

Dean was a singer/actor and became famous overseas. There are a lot of books on him, one is "Rock & Roll Radical". Tom Hanks is getting ready to do a film on him and his life. There is one he wrote for his daughter before he was killed about Marilyn Monroe that has not seen the light of the day...you would be great in singing and recording it. The reason they Made that Stupid Rule this year is because Adam IS gay, end of debate. It is shitty that they will just overturn the will of the people. Why even vote if it wont count anyway? Adam is one of those rare performers that come along once in a lifetime. We need someone who is different, who takes his talent right to the edge and back, and who can make us lose ourselves and all the problems that we face for just a few moments. Thats what true entertainers do. Go for it Adam and don't let the press or these idiot commentators destroy you and who you are....as they have done so many times to superstars in the past. I am 60 years old and in my day they had to show Elvis on TV above the waist! Keep entertaining us Adam and I hope you win. I am tired of the same old style of singers that we get on American Idol.

The similarity with David Cook is a quiet, lacking in hubris self-confidence, and one can see it in their self-contained body posture and eyes after they perform. They both are great singers -- no one could ever call "kareoke". And they have recognizable voices. Allison has the same quality. The soul of an artist in her eyes (she cannot be 16 - 17?) what an old, old soul. I'm in my late 50;s and the first time I saw/heard Allison, I thought, She could/should eventually play Janis Joplin in a biopic. These 3 contestants have exceptional talent and the "likeability" quality -- the camera connects Allison with her closeups -- thru her eyes. Remember, the windows of the soul.

Adam is absolutely amazing. In season 4 I chose Carrie Underwood from the git-go. I have done the same with Adam. The vocal range that he has & the control he uses in his voice is beyond reproach. He has shown he can dress for whatever the song calls for when he sings. Talented just doesn't seem to be the word I'm looking for. Simon & the gang are saving the "one-time-save" just in case for some ungodly reason Adam should fall into the bottom 3. Good luck Adam....the next American Idol

Drew/mike/adamisgay...whatever your name is...I hope someday that you reflect back on your words with shame and embarassement. If you even knew how hateful, rediculous and ignorant you sound. Fascism? Is that what you're learning in world history this week? You have complete freedom where AI is concerned..don't watch and don't vote. It's as simple as that. And when Adams concert comes to town and all your little pimple faced friends are talking about how they can't wait to go, don't buy a ticket, a cd or a concert t-shirt. You have complete control over everything...except perhaps your brainwashing and your mouth.
Adam is a brillant artist with a kind and open heart and soul. Who he sleeps with and what he does with his life is his business. I truly can't believe that we made it through David Bowie/ziggy stardust, Elton John, glam rock like The Crue, the New York Dolls and Queen and yet here we sit..more conservative and small minded than we were 30 years ago. This country and it's judgemental attitudes really push me to the edge some days. Kudos to AI for finally standing behind someone who they know is contraversial. At least they have for now..........

i have looked on youtube at his video's and so many people are like, i think he is gay, or do you think he is gay? or here is his gay pictures. well i wish people wouldn't judge, his private life is his and nobody else's. I personally am gay myself, so if he is he's just part of the family :) personally i think he has an amazing voice, and i wish i just had half of his voice. As far as him being the new david cook, i think adam is in a league of his own, and if he don't win, he is still going to get an amazing recording contract.

I know all those Adam haters want goody gokey to win. His sexuality is none of our concern. We are looking at an artist. He looks good in any angle, sings like an angel and can act! I love him in all the videos I saw and his "Is Anybody Listening?" moved me to tears....I am NOT a Christian! God, if anyone going convert me, let it be Adam! I think he would sing christian songs better than Gokey. America may not let him win because he is perceived as different. They tried doing that to Obama too but he won! Please vote for us in Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong as we can't.
As for Adam vs David Cook..... what do I know? I didn't watch season 6 and 7.
I think voters should vot Lambert based on his performance and singing ability, not his private life. For the first time in my life I purchased a song through itunes....it was MAD WORLD.

I've known Adam since we were 4. He's always had a passion for music and I'm ecstatic that he's pursuing his inmeasurable talent and his dream! Amazing, amazing he is. He told me on the brief conversation we had on the phone yesterday, he was really looking forward to winning American Idol, just like the other contestants, so support him and give him your votes! He really appreciates it! :)

As I was reading the last few pages of the comments, it amazes me how some of you can't get a grasp of Adam's awesome talent and can't get past Adam's personal style of dress. True artistry transcends all of that. AS for the gay bashing, some of the world's most gifted poets, musician, actors, designers etc are GAY, and I would like to think that in this day and age that getting all worked up about sexual orientation is just plain silly. I for one count myself very fortunate to being able to witness the emergence of an absolutely incredible talent, of which we as a nation have not seen in a long long time. I laugh when I heard on an interview, that if/when Adam win's how he wants to buy a condo, I was thinking with all his future millions/billions coming his way it would be more like which island is he going to buy. GO ADAM, you have charged me up and love watching you every week.

I just need to comment on the amazing talent that is Adam Lambert! Gay, straight or bi, who cares? He is uber talented and oozes raw sex appeal! He is the most talented contestant ever to grace the idol stage and compared to all the other clean cut wannabees he blows them out the water! God bless you Adam Lambert!!!

Does anyone realize how difficult it is to be able to sing 'Bohemian Rhapsody?' Not easy, even to play on the piano. Also, 'Mad World' is another piece of music that requires deep vocal concentration to bring out what Adam did to it. What a great voice! He also has been in training all his life, knows how to use his body for theatrical purposes, and I am certain the Hollywood Studios would love to get him. That is, before the recording companies do. Las Vegas would be a showcase for his talent as well, just like Elvis!
