Chelsea Handler and 50 Cent sure sparked lots of romantic rumors in recent months, given the time they spent together - time spent looking cozy at that.

Making the media rounds promoting her new book, the E! host is finally opening up on that odd relationship (and her current one with Andre Balazs).

Regarding Fiddy, she confessed to Piers Morgan, "We dated, very casually."

"He's a very sweet, nice guy," she says of the rapper. "I was sampling, kind of, the atmosphere, seeing what was out there, and I was satiated."

Even though Handler continues to rave about 50 Cent, calling him "the complete antithesis of what you'd imagine," Chelsea admits he had his faults.

"I don't really like when men buy me ridiculous gifts, especially when I don't know them well," Handler says, explaining how 50 overtly tried to woo her.

Saying she ended up nixing his expensive gestures, "I can buy my own gifts. I really don't like gifts from rappers in general, since I'm not a hooker."

While the E! host has insisted they're just friends, she didn't shy away from sharing a few intimate details during an appearance on The Tonight Show.

After Jay Leno asked if she called her man "Fiddy Cent," the Chelsea Lately host deadpanned, "I don't know, I call him Curtis when we're having sex."

50 cozies up to Handler ... and her producer Heather McDonald.

Continued Handler, "No, but he does have a real name. His name is Curtis. Curtis ... I don't know, I should find out." She's kidding ... we think. Hard to tell.

But while the comedian was on stage slamming Angelina Jolie Friday night, her friend and writer and producer, Heather McDonald, was cozying up to 50.

"Great show in Newark tonight but Chelsea should be worried because of this," McDonald Tweeted of her flirty backstage photo with the rapper. Uh oh.

50 Cent was shot last night ... by a photographer, at a bar, with Chelsea Handler!

The couple were seen together, and by the way they got up close and personal, they gave some serious credibility to the dating rumors going around.

Chelsea Handler and 50 Cent were seen at the Blue Nile jazz bar in New Orleans, and were getting hot and heavy in that piece - not just friends!
