Rapper 50 Cent, never one to be accused of family friendly entertainment, saw half of his performance bleeped out, but still rocked the house on The X Factor finale.

Astro may not be the inaugural X Factor winner, but the young rapper did make his way onto the finale, rapping alongside Fiddy. That's a feat in and of itself!

Also, L.A. Lakers guard Derek Fisher introduced Mr. Cent, his good friend, and other Lakers - Matt Barnes and Steve Blake - also made it up on stage somehow.

We can't explain it either. Just watch the performance below.

In case the censoring rendered it all unclear, 50 performed his latest single "Wait Until Tonight" followed by his 2003 smash hit, "In Da Club," featuring Astro.

The kid's got game ... unlike Barnes, Blake and Fisher, who just waved their arms a lot ... with Kobe Bryant hurt, maybe they're getting in shape to play extra minutes?

Ever since Britney Spears got engaged to Jason Trawick last week, celebrities everywhere - and even K-Fed for that matter - have been wishing her all the best.

One of more vocal supporters over the years (really) has been 50 Cent, who told told reporters at the VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul concert in NYC how happy he is.

"I am so happy for her," the rapper said, before musing, "Britney Spears had a rough time. The press took the biggest opportunity ever to dog her."

"When you reach that point, you work really hard to get where she is. It’s very interesting because the public likes to build you to destroy you for entertainment's sake."

"I’m just really happy for her to be happy."

Fiddy continued by saying he thinks Britney is ready to be married for a third time (before K-Fed, she wed high school pal Jason Alexander for 55 hours).

"I hope she is," he remarked. "Wouldn’t you like to hope that? Let’s just put that out there in the universe, that she is ready."

She seems it. She and Jason Trawick, her former agent, were close long before they were a couple, and he's been an enormously positive influence on her.

G-G-G-G-G-G-Unit!

Pauly D is officially a member of 50 Cent's G-Unit team. The Jersey Shore star/DJ has just been signed to the rapper's G-Note record label, 50 confirmed on Twitter, adding a photo of the pair together.

Pauly D and 50 Cent

Pauly also chimed in about the deal: "Big Big Things In The Works @50cent And @DJPaulyD !!!!!" he Tweeted. "#yeahhhhbuddy" (A rep for G-Unit also confirmed the signing to MTV News.)

Talk of a Pauly D/ 50 Cent collaboration has been floating around since the summer when the MTV reality star teased a joint album to Billboard.

Said the man with the most talent of anyone in his MTV-sponsored house, not that this fact says very much:

"I'm focusing on music. That's my passion. I'm working with 50 Cent now. I'm gonna do an album with him. It's going to be a little bit of everything. It's almost like DJ Khaled and kind of David Guetta but my own DJ Pauly D style."

This deal with Fiddy is merely Pauly's next step in an ever-growing empire. His brand also includes a residency at Las Vegas nightclub Rain at the Palms Resort and Casino. Heck, the tall-haired reality star even opened for Britney Spears on her Femme Fatale Tour this summer and may join her again at her December 10 concert, the final stop on her world tour.

50 Cent employs violent criminals who wail on women ... according to a lawsuit.

A suit against the rapper alleges he hired Dwayne McKenzie (for reasons and purposes unknown) who invited some women over to Cent's mansion in Connecticut ... where, supposedl,y McKenzie made "graphic and vulgar sexual requests" of one gal.

The plaintiff, Vasti Ortiz, became uncomfortable and started to leave.

Fiddy Loves New Moon

50 is involved in more weird legal drama than anyone but Lindsay.

She claims that's when McKenzie ordered another woman to start beating on her while he held her down ... badly hurting her. Pretty messed up stuff if so.

Ortiz claims 50 knew or should've known McKenzie was a known thug with a criminal past. But since 50 wasn't even there at the time, good luck with that.

Unhappy with the way Interscope Records has been handling his new album, 50 Cent has canceled the upcoming release, claiming execs "dropped the ball."

"Man I'm not releasing a album," 50 wrote on his Twitter page Wednesday. "I can't believe interscope is this f--ked up right now. I apologize to all my fans."

He proceeded to elaborate on his future, with or without the label.

Mr. Cent

"I will work with other artist on there projects but I will not put out another album," he said. "They dropped the ball with me one time to many."

50 Tweeted that he instead would put out "Psycho," the latest single by longtime collaborator Dr. Dre off the latter's upcoming swan-song, Detox.

"Your gonna love it it's a big song ... I just don't think it deserves a great set up sense they can't seem to get it right when it comes to me."

Fiddy was reportedly irate that he recorded a total of 41 tracks for his album and the one tune he gave Interscope, "I'm On It," leaked online.

"I hate when I can't present my music the way….I feel it should be," he complained, but since it's out there, "f--k it, check out 'I'm ON IT.'"

50 Cent continues to branch out career-wise.

The rapper has teamed up with Razorbill publisher Ben Schrank to write and release a book called Playground, a semi-autobiographical novel based on his childhood.

One major theme: The issue of teen bullying.

The story, set to be released next January, will reportedly focus on a 13-year old schoolyard bully "who finds redemption as he faces what he's done."

Fifty Cent

"I had a strong desire to write Playground because I wanted to explore how a kid becomes a bully," said 50 Cent in a statement earlier this week.

"I drew on events from my own childhood and adolescence, but was equally excited to see the story take on its own life."

"This book would have been very helpful for me growing up and now that I have a teenage son, it is my goal that this will have a positive influence on all teenagers."

While we never pegged 50 Cent for a socially-conscious novelist, he does have plenty of interesting stories and lessons to share. Are we right?

Chelsea Handler and 50 Cent sure sparked lots of romantic rumors in recent months, given the time they spent together - time spent looking cozy at that.

Making the media rounds promoting her new book, the E! host is finally opening up on that odd relationship (and her current one with Andre Balazs).

Regarding Fiddy, she confessed to Piers Morgan, "We dated, very casually."

"He's a very sweet, nice guy," she says of the rapper. "I was sampling, kind of, the atmosphere, seeing what was out there, and I was satiated."

Even though Handler continues to rave about 50 Cent, calling him "the complete antithesis of what you'd imagine," Chelsea admits he had his faults.

"I don't really like when men buy me ridiculous gifts, especially when I don't know them well," Handler says, explaining how 50 overtly tried to woo her.

Saying she ended up nixing his expensive gestures, "I can buy my own gifts. I really don't like gifts from rappers in general, since I'm not a hooker."

Rhode Island's most famous DJ and rap's biggest gangsta, together at last.

Pauly D is close to joining forces with G-Unit, 50 Cent's label, as 50 desperately wants to sign the Jersey Shore star and has offered a three-album deal.

In a sign of the apocalypse - but not one you can really get upset about 'cause c'mon, who doesn't love Pauly D - the two sides are nearing a contract.

Paul D

The Jersey Shore pimp/DJ met with Fiddy and his people in NYC last week, where they discussed the lucrative record deal and a Pauly D merchandise line.

Specifically, Pauly D-brand headphones, obviously.

Nothing's signed yet,but according to sources, 50 wants to hammer out the deal ASAP before Pauly jets off to shoot Jersey Shore Season 4 in Italy.

Talks have become so serious, 50 and Pauly have even started to kick around ideas for other artists he and Pauly can collaborate with. Any ideas?
