Haters are gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate.

But sometimes haters are gonna make a valid point, point, point, point, point.

Earlier this week, Valeria Lukyanova (aka Human Barbie) posted a new set of frightening photos to Facebook.

They featured the plastic-surgery-loving model in jean shorts and a tiny top, and they generated quite a bit of backlash from those who criticized Lukyanova for looking “unnatural” and having “body dysmorphic disorder."

Lukyanova has said she doesn’t care, that critics are choosing a "path of degradation."

But now she’s also admitted that the haters weren’t entirely incorrect: the pictures were not 100% natural.

Far from it, in fact.

"The pictures are Photoshopped to achieve smoothness and color correction,” the Russian tells Cosmopolitan.

“The pictures were taken in the botanical garden on the phone. They were not high quality. I had to edit them in order to correct the defects of the phone picture.”

Still, Human Barbie stands by her appearance as a whole.

“There may have been some negative comments,” she told Cosmo. “I did not see them. Beautiful people are often envied. That’s why negativity does not surprise me. Instead, it touches me.”

Overall, Lukyanova actually feels sorry for those who do not aspire to achieve the perfect body, as she believes she has and does.

“Those who are unsatisfied with what I do and critique me and offend me clearly don’t have the same figure as I do. Otherwise they would not be so negative

"People who are satisfied with themselves don’t comment on who they don’t like. They will pass by. And those who write nasty [things], they are openly jealous. To have an ideal body is important to every self-respecting girl."
