Lauren Bosworth Dishes on The Hills

Why is OK! Magazine doing a feature on Lauren Bosworth (Lo) from The Hills? We honestly have no idea. But we've got the interview, photos and video!

For nearly five years, Lo Bosworth and namesake BFF Lauren Conrad have been fixtures in households across the country - on Laguna Beach and The Hills.

But big changes loom: LC is leaving at the end of this season, and Kristin Cavallari, the girls’ former Laguna Beach co-star and nemesis, is joining the cast.

Lo Bosworth, 22, who just graduated from UCLA, spilled to the celebrity gossip mag on how she’ll spend her summer, and how she really feels about stuff.

Q: Let’s get right to it. Lauren’s leaving.

A: It scares me. We really are best friends. We’ve done the show for so long that we know the ins and outs - we know when we’re funny.

Q: Is the show going to end once she leaves?

A: I don’t know the answer to that. We’re doing the next few episodes as part of season five, not a new season.

Q: But your boyfriend Christian is coming on board?

A: I have a different boyfriend now [laughs]! I keep that separate. My new boyfriend is very happy, but I don’t bring him into this.

The Hills Recap: Speidi Gets Engaged, Steph Gets Canned

Last night on The Hills, Spencer Pratt was under the gun.

Almost literally.

Heidi Montag’s father Bill, not to be confused with her stepdad, who married her mom Darlene, is a legit cowboy, and he threatened to kill Heidi's beau more than one time during his visit to California. Always fun to watch Spencer squirm.

Eventually, though, he and Spencer got along pretty well. Heck, Bill Montag even sort of gave Spencer props for starting that bar brawl over Heidi.

The two walked along the beach discussing Spencer’s intentions, which Pratt admitted were to live happily ever after with Heidi Montag. Bill agreed to give Spencer his blessing, but warned, “You would be the loser if you lost Heidi.”

Blessing - and engagement ring - in hand, Spencer took Heidi up in the Ferris wheel at Santa Monica Pier to ask her to marry him for real this time.

Heidi balked, saying there were many things in the way of that happening - Spencer has to apologize to Darlene, and to Lauren Conrad, and agree to a traditional, “princess wedding,” which The Hills villain had steadfastly opposed before.

He swore "I know the rules" and was ready to do all of that and more. Then he whipped out a giant diamond, and all Heidi's worries melted away.

Speidi Proposal

Meanwhile, Audrina Patridge reunited with the White Tie Affair on the set of their music video shoot set and Stephanie Pratt, who previously hit it off with the guitarist of that rock ensemble, rolled up smelling of desperation and stupidity.

Steph and Audzo met up with the singer and the guitarist for drinks, and the boys immediately started making advances. The guitarist, who obviously does not meet enough girls, started inquiring about Stephanie's relationship status.

When she asked about his love life, he tried the “whatever happens on the road” bit, but said he has "something solid at home." I.e., living with him.

Despite how pathetic and annoying she is at all times, Stephanie didn't go the groupie route, later whining to Audrina about it. Meanwhile, Lauren Conrad was at dinner with Brody Jenner lamenting how she had to fire her lazy ass the following day.

LC did so bluntly (after Stephanie arrived late, natch). Stephanie Pratt cried. Lauren offered to help Steph find another job. Steph cried some more.

“Is this like being fired even though I’m just interning?” Stephanie asked, plaintively, as she packed her things and left People's Revolution forever.

What a moron.

Kristin Cavallari Details Plans to Stir Up Hills Drama

With Lauren Conrad retiring from The Hills, Kristin Cavallari is ready to take over - and you can guarantee the former Laguna Beach star will shake things up.

"Basically... they want me to come in and start some drama," the 22-year-old told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show. "I'm good for it, so it's fun."

Kristin's plans for the upcoming season?

"Drinking, fighting, hooking up - all that good stuff!"

As for her rumored romance with Audrina Patridge's ex, Justin-Bobby Brescia, which would likely be the most contrived and disgusting event in Hills history?

"I sat next to him at [Heidi and Spencer Pratt]'s wedding, yes," she teased. The wedding, which airs on The Hills May 31, is the season finale and her debut.

Justin-Bobby or no Justin-Bobby, Kristin Cavallari quips she's "on a man-hunt" after catching the wedding bouquet tossed by the bride at the Speidi nuptials.

Kristin of The Hills

"I am single and they want me to date on the show, which I'm excited about," the Laguna Beach nemesis of Lauren Conrad goes on. "They will introduce me to guys, and if goes somewhere, then they'll follow it. If not, it'll be over."

Cavallari says she didn't push Conrad out of the show.

"I had nothing to do with that," she insists. "[Lauren] was leaving, and I thought it was a good time to come in because she's gone."

Cavallari adds that she'll "hopefully" take over for LC as the narrator and that their much-hyped feud is sooo high school. "We're fine now," she says.

As for whether Heidi Montag has changed since she introduced her to Spencer Pratt four years ago, Kristin Cavallari leaves us with this awesome quote:

"I don't really hang out with her as much anymore... but looks-wise, I'd say... Listen, they know what they're doing and they're making a lot of money."

The Hills Stars Excited to Welcome Kristin Cavallari

Always there when you need a quote about Hills-related (or unrelated) stories, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag say they're thrilled that Kristin Cavallari will be replacing Lauren Conrad on the MTV reality series that made them stars.

"I love Kristin. She introduced us," Heidi said at Maxim's 10th Annual Hot 100 party. "We wouldn't be together without Kristin, and she's one of my favorite people."

The new season, Heidi said, will be "ten times better!"

As we reported earlier, Kristin Cavallari’s first appearance will be on the May 31 finale, where she catches the bouquet at Heidi and Spencer's wedding.

Spencer thinks she will "bring some edge" that LC didn't have: "Lauren didn't date a guy for three years. Kristin's going to date three guys every day!"

Now that Cavallari is joining the cast of his self-described favorite show, Spencer adds that he "would stay on The Hills for twenty seasons!"

Center of Attention

NEW CENTER OF ATTENTION: Kristin Cavallari will find herself in the familiar position when she takes Lauren Conrad's place as the leading lady of MTV's The Hills.

His sister, Stephanie Pratt, isn't so convinced.

"I'm terrified!" she said, half-seriously. "She's no Lauren Conrad. And she loves drama and catfights. I saw her on Laguna Beach. I'm freaking out."

Audrina Patridge said bringing Cavallari on board is "great."

"It'll add a little spice to The Hills," she said. "I don't really know her that well. I hung out with her a couple times, and she seems like a pretty cool girl."

Still, it'll be different without Lauren Conrad.

"I'm so used to talking with Lauren and filming with her all the time," said Audrina, who will remain a focal point like she was on Monday's episode of The Hills. "I still talk to her off camera, but it's weird not being able to film with her."

It's Official: Kristin Cavallari to Star on The Hills!

Former Laguna Beach star Kristin Cavallari has been rumored for weeks to be replacing Lauren Conrad, her former high school rival, on MTV's The Hills.

Well, now it's a done deal!

Cavallari will indeed be starring in the faux-reality series, with her first appearance on the show also being Conrad's last - the May 31 season finale.

Kristin will be shown catching the bouquet at the wedding of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt (she introduced the gruesome twosome years ago).

The Hills: Kristin Cavallari!L-C

She'll appear in 10 episodes this fall. The 22-year-old budding actress is fully prepared to stir things up, too: “It’s a TV show,” Kristin Cavallari explains.

“I’m not going into it like, ‘I’m going to make great friendships with these people.’ It’s work! Drama sells. I think that’s why they’re bringing me in.”

Kristin shared more insight with Entertainment Weekly on her return to reality TV. We've printed some excerpts below, with more after the jump.

On why she’s coming back: “My goal is to get fans excited about me again. When I first started out, I had a celebrity name but I didn’t have the acting skills I have now. If I have some buzz with my name again, I feel like it will only help.”

The Hills Recap: "Keep Your Enemies Closer"

Last night on The Hills, the tables were finally turned on Justin-Bobby.

Audrina Patridge's moronic on-off boyfriend was apparently pretty steamed when he heard about her hookup with Brody Jenner in Hawaii, and was calling her 24/7.

When Audzo finally agreed to see the scraggly-ass loser, she was unapologetic for her actions and totally blew him off. Hurts to be on the receiving end, eh, J-Bob?

“We’re at a dead end right now and need to go our separate ways," she said, adding that they were never exclusive. "We can't be friends. It doesn’t work. I came to say goodbye face-to-face. Don’t call. Don’t text. It’s over.” Iced!

Audrina abruptly left the restaurant, and Justin-Bobby, showing more genuine concern in this one scene than he has in the previous two years, chased after her.

The Hills: Audrina PatridgeJustin-Bobby Wants You

Is Audrina Patridge finally done with Justin-Bobby?

“If I spent the night in Lauren’s room, you would freak out,” Justin-Bobby said, clearly worked up about her and Brody. While true, this comment left her unmoved.

Good riddance.

At People's Revolution, Stephanie Pratt was basically ignoring her job and blabbing on and on and on to Lauren Conrad about this hunky DJ she had just met. Lauren hinted subtly, then not subtly, that she needed to focus on work.

Alas, Stephanie Pratt has an IQ of 20.

LC was pulling clothes for an important photo shoot at Smashbox (where Lo of all people recently got a job). She had to run to the shoot and left Steph to finish packing the clothes and inputting the order into the computer.

But Steph’s mind - what little there is of it - was elsewhere. Shockingly, when LC arrived at the big photo shoot, all of the necessary clothes did not.

Sports Guy, Sports Gal Weigh in on Jayde-Audrina Feud

In his latest column, which was originally about the Lakers-Rockets playoff series, ESPN's Sports Guy, Bill Simmons, relays an argument he had with his wife over Jayde Nicole and Audrina Patridge and their feud on The Hills. Really.

It is certainly a controversial topic that had people buzzing this week. Here's the excerpt from Simmons' column about the latest epic Hills confrontation ...

I woke up six minutes into The Hills and the Sports Gal refused to change the channel because Audrina Patridge slept in Brody Jenner's bed in Hawaii and Brody's Playmate girlfriend, Jayde Nicole, was furious about it.

These are the moments when Bruce Jenner feels proud for all the sacrifices he made trying to win that Olympic gold medal in 1976.

But this led to an awesome moment in Twisted Female Logic: Audrina's friend, LC, then blamed Brody for not sticking up for Audrina and siding with his girlfriend because it was Brody's fault that he didn't kick Audrina out.

No blame for Audrina for going after someone else's dude? Really, LC?

Brody and Jayde at the Wedding

Brody Jenner says his feelings lie with Jayde. Do yours?

I sided with Brody, the Sports Gal sided with Lauren Conrad, and I'm ashamed to admit we argued about this for 20 minutes. My argument in three parts:

  1. Audrina is a tramp.
  2. All women are natural enemies even if they pretend this isn't the case.
  3. A single woman will always do whatever it takes to land someone as appealing as Bruce Jenner's untalented but handsome son, even if it means seducing him on a reality-TV show and promising secrecy with him even though that show will be airing two months later.

The Sports Gal thus refused to admit I was right and claims she knows plenty of women who wouldn't do this. When I asked her to name these women, she named a bunch of her married friends, which indirectly proved my point:

Nearly all SINGLE woman between the ages of 25-40 will do whatever it takes to land an appealing male, even trashing whatever female code of ethics allegedly exists.

The Hills Cat Fight Poll: Team Audrina vs. Team Jayde

We've almost gotten used to Lauren Conrad doing battle with Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt on The Hills. After four seasons of drama, one comes to expect it.

But Monday night on The Hills, a new cat fight erupted. Twice!

Audrina Patridge and Jayde Nicole went at it on two separate occasions over the former's scandalous hookup with the latter's boyfriend, Brody Jenner, in Hawaii.

Viewer reactions run the gamut - Audrina's a slut! Jayde's crazy! Audrina deserved it! Jayde is insecure! - and we're wondering which side you came down on ...

The Hills Recap: "Playmates Bring the Drama"

On last night's episode of The Hills, the crew returned from vacation and the aftershocks from Brody and Audrina’s Hawaiian hookup were felt throughout SoCal.

In short, Jayde Nicole went ballistic, and may be slightly insane.

Lauren Conrad warned Audrina Patridge early on that Brody Jenner admitted his mistake to his girlfriend, and that a jealous Jayde was far from pleased.

When Jayde found out Audrina was en route to Frankie's Delgado's barbecue, she grew pissed and her Playmate friends started talk of a girl fight.

Brody told her to relax and apologized again, and Frankie tried to cover for him, saying they just fell asleep, but Jayde wasn't buying it - and Audrina's apparent blowing of a kiss in Brody's direction just made things worse.

Jayde PicAudrina Bikini Photo

That led to the first of two Jayde Nicole-Audrina Patridge showdowns.

Audrina claimed she “would never go there” and they just "stayed up talking" that night. But Jayde snapped, “If you sleep in my boyfriend’s bed, something happened,” and proceeded to pound Jägermeister straight from the bottle.

The following night, things got even worse when Stephanie and Audrina hit up the hot club MyHouse even though they knew Jayde would be there with Brody.

Brody told his drunk girlfriend he wouldn’t tell Audrina to leave because they’re friends. “Not anymore,” replied the jealous, slurring Jayde Nicole. Oh, snap.

The Playboy bunny then told her posse of girlfriends - “playmates who bring the drama” - that Brody was just asking for them to get riled up. They obliged.

Jayde's pal Jo got all up in Audrina’s grill. Frankie tried to step in, but Jayde was fuming, calling her names, downing more Jäger and threatening to punch her.

Lauren Conrad: Leaving The Hills For Real

Despite recent reports claiming she is looking to return to The Hills next season after all, Lauren Conrad's rep says the beauty is sticking to her guns.

Having her life filmed by MTV since high school, Conrad had long sought more privacy and has said that The Hills' current season will be her last.

But the New York Post reported on Saturday that LC is working out a new contract to re-appear on the reality show after assessing the dire economy.

"She kind of realized, especially in this economy, there's not much else out there for her," says the Post, noting that the change of heart may have been prompted by the return of Kristin Cavallari. "Our source clucked, 'She's baaaack!'"

But her rep says that there's no such plan: "She is focusing on both clothing lines and her books. She has no plans to return to The Hills at this time."

The Star of The Hills

Last week, the network announced the show will return in the fall with new episodes sans Lauren Conrad, who has starred on and narrated the show since its debut.

"Lauren has moved on, but Heidi, Audrina, Spencer, Brody, Stephanie, Justin Bobby and Lo will be back as the drama continues with fresh faces, new stories and shocking surprises," read MTV's press release about The Hills' return.

The show returns with a new episode tonight at 10 p.m. The season finale, which features the whole cast at Spencer and Heidi's wedding, is May 31.

Will you watch The Hills without Lauren Conrad?

Sure, I love the other Hills peeps too!
Maybe, depends on the current season.
No way, LC is the reason for the show!
