The Bachelorette Spoilers: Is Jillian Even Engaged?

Next Monday on the season finale of The Bachelorette, Jillian Harris finally makes her choice. Ed Swiderski and Kiptyn Locke are the last men standing.

Except for the ousted Reid Rosenthal, who - Bachelorette spoiler alert - looks poised to return and possibly propose to Jillian in a surprising twist.

The promo that ran after this week's "The Men Tell All" show - at which Reid was MIA - shows him returning to Hawaii for another shot at Jillian.

What does Jillian say about who returns and what happens?

"I can't really tell you too much," Jillian tells ET. "I watched the tease for the finale, and I can tell you it is an exciting episode and a crazy day. I can't tell you who comes back, but it is all very traumatic, unfortunately."

Traumatic? That doesn't sound good. Nor do some of her other comments. Maybe she is just a good bluffer, but Jillian Harris makes no reference to being engaged, or even being in a relationship with a great guy or anything like that.

Again, she could be playing it cool. But it's only about "her decision."

Jillian

"All I can say is that after all the drama is over, and I make ONE LAST FINAL decision, I hope you all are as thrilled with the outcome as I am," she wrote in her last blog. "You have no idea how excited I am to let this secret out!!!"

Then: "I struggled with a lot of decisions. Again, I admit that I’m human. But I stand by my statement that I am very happy. I have had two months living with my decisions and am still very happy with them. That is what matters right?"

Get the feeling she is pulling a Brad Womack here?

Jillian even admits having second thoughts about getting engaged, and she talks to her dad about it. He told her that accepting a proposal from the man of her choice did not mean that she has to walk down the aisle immediately.

He pointed out to Jillian, "Getting a proposal in this scenario signifies for me that you are ready. Let's have a proposal, get engaged and start a life together and a year from now see where things are at and then get married."

"My dad was very right," Jillian adds.

That said, Jillian does rate the final three men:

"I would definitely have to say for Reid, it would be his sense of humor and just his quirkiness. Kiptyn is just so genuine and has such a huge heart."

"With Ed, I would have to say it is his balance. He has a good balance in life between personal, business and family. He is a well-rounded individual."

What do you think? Is this all a smoke screen, or does Jillian Harris not pick anyone at all? Who, if anyone, will win The Bachelorette?

The Bachelorette Spoilers: Reid's Return Confirmed!

Reid is coming back next week on The Bachelorette.

If you weren't convinced already, the final moments of last night's utter waste of time "Men Tell All" special were a tease for the season finale.

Amid shots of Ed Swiderski and Kiptyn Locke meeting her family and Jillian Harris preparing to make her choice, the narrator, Chris Harrison, promised that “an unexpected confession would make her question everything.”

A montage of dramatic music and cuts followed, the last of which was a shot of a ring in a man’s hand ... a hand belonging to ... Reid Rosenthal!

Chris had said that Reid wasn’t able to make it to the "Men Tell All" taping due to to a prior engagement. As in an engagement to Jillian Harris?!

Reid Rosenthal PicJust Jillian

You never know, with The Bachelorette editing that was already used to manipulate and sabotage Wes Hayden, what this actually means, but If he weren't still a factor, Reid Rosenthal sure as hell wouldn't be MIA at the "Men Tell All."

We know now that Reid Rosenthal comes back, and considering he’s holding a ring, and what a shocking twist it would provide, you've gotta think he proposes to Jillian.

The question is, how does this impact the ending?

Does she choose Ed Swiderski, break it off with him over the girlfriend he allegedly has in Chicago, only to have Reid swoop in and sweep her off her feet? Does Reid profess his love to her, only to have it be too late? Does she reject all three?

Jillian's blog on People today once again does not say she is in love, nor allude to the fact there is even a man in her life. This has some fans thinking she could pull a Brad Womack and choose no one, but she could be just playing it cool.

Jillian Harris on Wes Hayden: We'll Never Know

Many fans watching The Bachelorette this season believe that Texas bad boy singer Wes Hayden pulled the wool over unsuspecting Jillian Harris' eyes.

For his part, Wes says he does not have a girlfriend (he and Laurel Kagay are just friends) and that the show edited footage to make him look bad.

So does Wes have a girlfriend or not?

"We'll never really know," Jillian told E! News. "We know he came there for his career - but we'll never really know if he's got a girlfriend or not."

"I don't think the world will ever see the Wes I saw," she added.

That's quite a vague non-answer. Does she even want the answer?

"No, I've never been that kind of girl, though," she said. "I'm like, live and let live. Whatever everybody thinks he did wrong, I can see that, and I'm disappointed in things he said, but I'm forgiving. I want him to be happy."

Jillian Harris just wants Wes Hayden to be happy. She also says Jake Pavelka thought he did the right thing, but it was her responsibility in the end.

Viewers went berzerk when Jillian chose to believe Wes Hayden over nice guy Jake Pavelka, who was brave enough to return to the show after being kicked off at the urging of the producers break the bad news to her.

"I felt bad for Jake. I felt like he thought he had to tell me this and that this was his responsibility, but it's not his responsibility," Jillian Harris said. "I am a good judge of character, so I would have figured it out."

Girlfriend or not, Wes has been eliminated, leaving Jillian to choose between her final two, Kiptyn Locke and Ed Swiderski - and a possibly returning Reid Rosenthal - on The Bachelorette finale a week from tonight.

In the meantime, The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All airs at 8 p.m. EST this evening. Neither Wes nor Reid will be making an appearance tonight.

DeAnna Pappas: Jillian Harris Will Pick Ed Swiderski

It's down to Ed Swiderski and Kiptyn Locke (with Reid Rosenthal possibly to return and join the party) in the fight for Jillian Harris' love on The Bachelorette.

Who's The Bachelorette gonna pick? There are arguments (and spoilers) that suggest all three - but Jillian's predecessor, DeAnna Pappas, thinks she knows.

"I think she's going to chose Ed," DeAnna, who chose Jesse Csincsak over Jason Mesnick last season, tells Extra. "She's only had eyes for Ed from day one."

Jillian Harris, Ed SwiderskiA DeAnna Pappas Photo

In addition to predicting a proposal by Ed Swiderski, DeAnna Pappas also thinks that Jillian regrets letting bad boy Texas musician Wes Hayden into her life.

"I'm sure Jillian is sitting at home [watching the show] going, 'Why did I let him get past night one?'" said DeAnna, who was interviewed for some reason.

DeAnna admits it was a big challenge to confront the dismissed suitors for the taping of "The Men Tell All" special, confessing that she was "extremely nervous" and had "really strong feelings" for the final four bachelors.

The traditional "The Men Tell All" special airs this Monday, July 20, with no Wes Hayden or Reid Rosenthal on attendance. Reid's absence has sparked The Bachelorette spoilers that the ousted suitor makes a return on the big finale.

The season finale airs Monday, July 27.

The Bachelorette Spoilers: Reid Rosenthal MIA on "Men Tell All," Cliffhanger Planned For "After the Final Rose"

Next Monday is the traditional “The Men Tell All” episode of The Bachelorette, which precedes the show's two-hour season finale the following week.

Two guys who won't be telling anything? Wes Hayden and Reid Rosenthal.

That's right. Despite being the most talked-about, hated man in Bachelorette history, Wes will not be on "The Men Tell All." This is almost certainly because he has been shafted somewhat by ABC and has since thrown the show under the bus.

Wes is pissed at the show for making him look like an d!ck and especially for outing Laurel Kagay. His omission therefore makes sense. Reid's? Not so much.

Last week, Ed Swiderski and Kiptyn Locke received roses from Jillian Harris while poor Reid was sent home. In every other season, the person eliminated in third place takes part in the "Men Tell All" episode. Reid, however, did not.

Why? Because according to the Bachelorette spoilers we posted yesterday, and what we've heard since, Reid Rosenthal plays a role in the finale.

Reid Rosenthal PictureWes Hayden Picture

With no Reid Rosenthal or Wes Hayden interviews, "The Men Tell All" special might as well be renamed "The Dudes No One Cares About Tell All and Kill Time."

Much like Ed’s departure earlier in the season, it seems they’re setting up a return for Reid, who left saying “I should’ve told her that I loved her" and then “If I could reverse things, I would.” His "Men Tell All" no-show fits this perfectly.

There's also the "unexpected confession" Jillian Harris grapples with in the finale.

What this is, no one knows for sure, but odds are very good that it involves Reid, and like last season of The Bachelor, we won't be seeing a "normal" finale.

Knowing how huge The Bachelor's "After the Final Rose" special was in March - though Jason Mesnick dumping Melissa Rycroft for Molly Malaney will be a tough one to top - we will likely get a cliffhanger leading into that show on Tuesday.

It's still unclear what will happen. Reid Rosenthal could come back and profess his love to Jillian, and maybe even propose. Ed Swiderski does propose, from what we've heard, but there is the whole Chicago girlfriend question lingering.

Some have posited that Jillian chooses Ed, but he turns her down because of the girlfriend issue. Could that surprise twist be what gives Reid is opening?

Oh, and Kiptyn Locke is also still around in case one or the other falters. What is going to happen? Share with us your Bachelorette spoilers and theories!

The Bachelorette Finale Spoilers: Reid Returns, Kiptyn is The Bachelor, Ed Proposes ... and Has a Girlfriend?

On last night's episode of The Bachelorette, Jillian Harris bid farewell to Reid Rosenthal, to the surprise of no one, keeping Ed Swiderski and Kiptyn Locke.

With the exception of Ed's performance anxiety and the show's hilarious ways of wording that situation, Monday's episode was fairly vanilla and predictable.

But now that Reid's gone and Kiptyn and Ed are the last men standing, The Bachelorette spoilers and rumor mill are starting to go haywire. Ready for this?

If our sources are to be believed ...

  • Ed Swiderski proposes to Jillian Harris on The Bachelorette season finale in two weeks (next week is the useless "Men Tell All" filler clip show).
  • The "unexpected confession" on the season finale is that Jillian's just-vanquished "Honey Bear," Reid Rosenthal, returns to say he loves her.
  • Kiptyn Locke has already been named the next star of The Bachelor.
  • Oh, and Ed may have a girlfriend back home.

The Bachelorette: EdThe Bachelorette: KiptynReid Rosenthal Pic

Will Jillian choose Ed, Kiptyn, or a returning Reid?

First, Reid Rosenthal. You knew after DeAnna Pappas told The Bachelor's Jason Mesnick she "made a mistake" - this even before he chose Melissa Rycroft and dumped her for Molly Malaney - that The Bachelorette finale would include some stunt.

Reid coming back to Hawaii to profess his love for Jillian Harris, which he just couldn't quite do all season long and resulted in demise, makes perfect sense.

But is it too little, too late? Is it completely contrived? Probably. But is there a chance Reid can come back and steal this title in dramatic fashion? Sure.

It would certainly be a stunning (albeit blatantly scripted) conclusion that would fall short of the Jason-Molly-Melissa drama, but not by too much.

As for Kiptyn Locke, he has been rumored to have signed a deal to be the new star of The Bachelor for some time now. Mr. Perfect certainly looks and acts the part, making some fans wonder if he was being groomed for this all along.

Finally, Ed Swiderski having a girlfriend in Chicago?

A shaky rumor, to be sure, but our man Reality Steve has never been wrong before, so his Bachelorette spoilers have to be taken semi-seriously ...

Jilli

Who will win The Bachelorette's heart?

The blogger reports that Ed Swiderski left a female in Chicago high and dry - a girl who “without a doubt” was Ed’s girlfriend before he left for The Bachelorette.

This girl was under the assumption they were dating when he left to film the show. He came back to Chicago (after bailing on Jillian) then went AWOL again.

An email was sent asking “So I guess we’re seeing other people now.” Ed responded with “No, I just need to wait until this show is over.” This girlfriend of Ed’s is under the assumption they are together and she just has to wait out the show.

Shady stuff if that's true. Wouldn't it be wild if Wes Hayden drama was manufactured and it turned out to be Ed with a girlfriend back home - who came back to bite him? Or if all this were a red herring and Kiptyn Locke ended up winning?

Wes Hayden Throws The Bachelorette Under the Bus

They say ... love, it don't come eaaaaaaaasy. They also say there are two sides to every story, and The Bachelorette's Wes Hayden wants to make his known.

The Austin, Tex., singer's eight-episode stint on the ABC show came to an end Monday after all kinds of controversy over whether he just went on the show to promote his music, and/or whether he had/has a girlfriend back home.

He's been called every name in the book, and that's fine by him. But Wes Hayden says it's all bogus, and he is simply a victim of deceptive, false editing.

In an interview on an Austin radio station, he addressed the #1 rumor that has plagued the alleged singer but also his alleged girlfriend, Laurel Kagay.

"I had a girlfriend last summer. She's still a very good friend of mine. Every now and then we'll go out and do lunch or something like that. I mean, I did some work for her mom, I'm good friends with her family," Wes Hayden said.

"I just called [The Bachelorette producers] two weeks ago, and was like, 'Look. I don't care what y'all do to me. You can say I'm the worst guy in the world and I'm here for publicity, that I've got a girlfriend. But don't mention anybody's name."

"As soon as you mention her name, people in Austin are going to know her, because we dated for a long time. Sure enough, they mentioned her name the very next day."

And that's just the tip of the iceberg, according to Wes Hayden.

Wes Hayden Pic

As for his nasty statement after being booted by Jillian Harris, in which he boasted, "I'm the only guy in The Bachelorette history who's made it to the top four with a girlfriend," Wes says his limo comments were completely butchered.

"They don't play what I say after that. I said, 'Only guy in Bachelorette history to make it to the top four with a girlfriend. Get real, dude. If I had a girlfriend, I'd be home with her right now, and I wouldn't be putting up with this $h!t.'"

"They did stuff like that all the way through. They take whatever they want and just play what they want. It's not rocket science. I promise. I do have a career. I've been a musician 14 years. I would not go on national TV and sink myself."

Wes does note that "there had to be drama, there had to be ratings" and that The Bachelorette chose him for it, otherwise "the show would have been boring."

But he has a word of advice for people considering going on reality TV.

"I think everybody needs to remember that this is a TV show, and it's here for ratings. If anybody wants to go on any kind of reality show they really need to consider what could happen to them, and think about it long and hard."

"If you do go on, don't say a whole lot, because they can pretty much do whatever they want. Basically when you sign up for a show like this you pretty much relinquish every right that you have," Wes Hayden lamented.

Love him or hate him, he did make Jillian Harris' journey a lot more fun to watch. Click to enlarge some of Wes Hayden's greatest hits ...

The Bachelorette Recap: Farewell to Wes Hayden

Last night on The Bachelorette, Jillian Harris toured Spain trying to figure out which of her final four were in for the right reasons and the long haul.

In the end, the cutie finally made the decision Americans (and Canadians) have collectively been waiting for her to make for the past eight weeks.

But first, Jillian worried that Kiptyn Locke was too perfect and out of her league, whether Reid Rosenthal was ready to open up emotionally and start a life with her, or if she will ever come before Ed Swiderski's career. Valid concerns.

In Madrid, Kiptyn Locke revealed that “a proposal seems far off,” but the two sure had fun during a flamenco dance lesson and crashing a moped into a curb.

Smooth, it wasn't, but that was actually appealing for Kiptyn. In the end, Jillian declined to invite him to the Fantasy Suite, despite how much she likes him.

Way to play hard to get, Jill!

THE LAST THREE: Ed Swiderski, Kiptyn Locke and Reid Rosenthal.

Next stop? Seville, for a date with Reid Rosenthal. He was the only guy to fish for details about her other hometown dates, but Jill kept the heat on him, desperate to figure out what he’s feeling since Reid won't open up.

The most he could muster was how he is physically attracted to her and that she smells good, and he likes the direction things are headed. Fantasy Suite? Denied!

It was then Ed Swiderski's turn for a date in Sevilla. He detailed his decision to bolt The Bachelorette, only to come back in a move that wasn't staged whatsoever.

She was eating it up, despite feeling burned by that decision a few weeks back. Ed Swiderski even talked his way into the Suite to "catch up on lost time." OMG.

They'd still be sleeping in their clothes, however. Be strong, J.

Finally, it was Wes' turn ... to say feels comfortable around Spanish people because he had a #1 hit in Chihuahua, Mexico. Kudos to whoever wrote that line.

It only got worse from there. When Jillian asked if he'd move to Vancouver if he won, Wes Hayden awkwardly spilled a beer and changed the subject. So slick.

Jillian hoped things would be better during a fahn-cy dinner, but Wes Hayden pretty much admitted he came on The Bachelorette to help boost his music career.

Jillian Harris and Wes Hayden

Jillian's face says it all as Wes packs his bags.

He even unintentionally (or not) referred to Laurel Kagay as his girlfriend when Jilli grilled him for the 433rd time. Suffice it to say, the Fantasy Suite? No shot.

As the men waited at the rose ceremony, Wes showed his true colors one last time. After Kiptyn said "if it's me, keep it real guys," Wes responded, “If it’s me, know that I’ll be back home ... having lots of sex!” Crickets.

Wes Hayden then did get the boot, to the surprise of no one.

In the limo ride whisking him away, he downed a drink and gloated, “I’m the first guy ever to make the top four on The Bachelorette with a girlfriend” and said of the remaining fellas, “Them boys couldn’t so much as get a nibble in Texas.”

Laurel Kagay: I am Not Wes Hayden's Girlfriend!

Austin, Tex., resident Laurel Kagay was just minding her own business and watching The Bachelorette Monday. Then suddenly, her name was mentioned.

In a hilariously staged return, ousted suitor Jake Pavelka came back to tell Jillian Harris that Wes Hayden, a remaining contender, had a girlfriend.

Her name is Laurel, Jake told Jillian and millions of viewers. Wes denied he is dating her. Jake ratted him out anyway. Laurel Kagay sat in shock at home.

“I was like, ‘What?’” Laurel told People in an interview today. “There was this pause before he said my name - and then he said it quite a few times.”

Laurel Kagay, owner of Peach Body Boutique in Austin, would like to clear the air on this topic, which has dominated the contrived Bachelorette for weeks.

She dated Wes Hayden for three years, but they are broken up, and have been for quite a while now. The two became strictly friends a year ago, she said.

“I’m absolutely not with Wes, nor would I be with Wes if he were going on a show to be with another girl,” she says. “That’s absolutely crazy.”

So how did Jake Pavelka get things mixed up?

“I think he was paid by the producers to come on the show and confront Wes definitely upset about not being on the show anymore,” Laurel theorized.

Laurel Kagay PicWes Hayden, Jillian Harris

Laurel Kagay insists that she and Wes Hayden - who has caught considerable flak for romancing Jillian Harris while supposedly dating Laurel - are not an item.

“And I think Wes did say something about his ex-girlfriend. Maybe he said he still cares about me or whatever. Maybe Jake blew that into something else.”

However, Laurel Kagay admits, “We are really good friends and we do go out to lunch together, so I could see how people could think we’re together.”

Oddly enough, Laurel is also linked to another famous name in The Bachelor franchise - Brad Womack, the Texan who chose no one on his season finale.

Laurel Kagay has also dated Collin Evans, who was briefly a contender on The Bachelorette’s third season with Jen Schefft. Sounds like she has a type!

As for Wes Hayden, who The Bachelorette has presented as the ultimate bad boy, Laurel says, “They have not shown Wes’ real personality at all. He’s so funny. When we were together, we were always laughing and having fun."

"I never worried about him cheating on me.”

“She seems to have fun and has a good personality,” Laurel says of Jillian Harris, “and he’s really fun and funny. Too bad all this craziness had to go down.”

The Bachelorette Spoilers, Recap From Last Night

Last week on The Bachelorette, Jillian Harris nixed Tanner Pope and Jake Pavelka despite rumors that one of the other guys in the house had a girlfriend.

That guy was Wes Hayden, obviously, and while Wes hasn't admitted to having a girlfriend, he admitted he was on the show for the music not for the girl.

This all came to a head last night in hilariously contrived fashion.

The first four hometown dates - Reid in Philadelphia, Michael in Valencia, Calif., Kiptyn Locke in Encinitas, Calif., and Jesse in Carmel, Calif., seemed rushed, crammed into the first 45 minutes. It eventually became clear why this happened.

Last night’s episode was really about two things alone:

  1. Jake Pavelka returning and confronting Wes Hayden.
  2. The long-predicted return of Ed from Chicago.

Both of these things happened during Jillian Harris' final hometown date, to visit Wes' family in Austin, Texas. Upon her arrival, Wes tells Jillian that she's meeting his family, but she meets his other family - his band - first.

He played his song for her again. It was terrible again.

Then came the return of Jake. Jillian was worried Jake was coming to get her back, but that's wasn't the case. He was coming to rat Wes Hayden out.

Jake Pavelka PicWes Hayden Pic

Jake (left) told Jillian that Wes (right) had a girlfriend named Laurel.

Jillian was visibly upset. Jillian asked Wes Hayden point blank if there was anything he needed to tell her and he said, "no." Jillian told him what Jake said. Wes claimed that Laurel was an ex-girlfriend that he's still good friends with.

Jillian brought the guys together to hash it out. Jake said he was going to hold Wes "accountable," but Wes denied it and Jake was left crying in the hallway.

After the drama, Wes and Jillian went on to meet his family for dinner. That went well. But Jillian had one more surprise before the rose ceremony. It was Ed.

He said he needed to "re-prioritize" and asked for another shot. Jillian was tongue-tied but invited him to the rose ceremony to vie for a rose with the others.

Jillian had four roses and now six guys. Cue dramatic music.

Just how contrived and/or staged were these two developments?

According to reliable sources, while Wes Hayden may be a complete douchebag, he is getting at least partially hosed as far as editing goes. His comments about girlfriends and "tasting" fame are taken largely out of context.
