Following three spectacular New Zealand dates on The Bachelor, star Jason Mesnick had to narrow the field of three - Jillian, Melissa and Molly - to two.

Right or wrong, Mesnick elected to eliminate Jillian Harris, a 29-year-old interior designer from Canada, who gave ET the inside scoop on the show...

ET: What was your favorite part of this experience?

Jillian Harris: Before I did the show, I was a little bit worried if I would find my Prince Charming. Being there and feeling those sparks again made me realize that I can have that feeling again. I loved the adventure of it. I loved not being in control for once. I loved traveling. The girls were awesome. Obviously, Jason treated me like gold. I loved that I was brave enough to take a leap of faith. What do they say? You miss 100 percent of the shots you don't take.

ET: It has to be hard to get to the final three and not win Jason's heart. If asked, would you consider being the next The Bachelorette?

Jillian Harris: Part of me says, "Jill, stop while you are ahead. Now that you have done this and learned a lot about yourself, do it the old-fashioned way." The old-fashioned way hasn't really been working for me, so the other part of me says, "Jill, just go ahead and do it. You are an adventure seeker. Give it a shot and maybe you can find him that way." I think I have to sleep on it - and maybe have a glass of wine.

ET: You mentioned that you felt you were too slow in letting Jason know how you felt about him. Is that what you would do over? Do you think it would really make a difference, or do people make a true connection, so it wouldn't change things?

Jillian Harris: Very good question. Watching the show now, I think, "Jill, you should have opened up more. Why weren't you more flirty like Melissa?" But a) I am not really like that to begin with, and b) it may have been the connection.

The Hollywood Gossip's recap of The Bachelor is a rundown of our favorite (and least favorite) moments, with points awarded or deducted as we see fit.

Last night, the three women accompanied Jason Mesnick to New Zealand - where he made a surprise choice in which one he sent home. Let's get to it ...

Plus 10 for New Zealand. Jealous.

Jason took Jillian to the edge of a cliff and said: "It was just the two of us. There was no one else around for miles and miles..." Minus 5 for ABC's boom mic guy getting in the way of Jason completing that thought.

This week's special feature: Plus 1 for every boring euphemism for sex the writers can come up with. So far: Spend the night together. Connect physically. Handle all this fire. See the passion. Time alone. This week's total: Plus 5!

Sweet mother of ... Jason actually pulled the Titanic card and proceeded to spread his arms in an I'm-the-king-of-the-world sort of way. Minus Infinity.

Jason on the suite card: It was "from Chris to give to me to give to her..." Minus 5. Not as romantic to acknowledge the pimp-like role Chris Harrison plays in all this. But Plus 12 for the pimp-like role Chris Harrison plays in all this.

Despite giving off the impression that she's forcing it and isn't quite sure why she's there, Molly Malaney stuns Jillian for the second rose and earns a place in the finals! Could it be that less enthusiasm and insanity is more? Plus 11.

Melissa Rycroft just wants her parents to see how happy Jason makes her? Their dates are being FILMED! Minus 3, because that makes no sense, and Minus 6 more for the obvious overplaying of the parental absence for two weeks now.

The picture frames of the girls Jason gazes upon contain the same promotional stock pics we use on this site! You can't get any other candid photos, ABC? Minus 4.

Plus 5 for Melissa's video, because it is by far the most sincere and least awkward. On a related note, Jillian refers to Jason as "babe" in hers, while Molly goes with "J" and Melissa the ever-annoying "you." Minus 1 for Jillian and Melissa.

"Dude, when you're 90, you want to be with your best friend." - Jillian Harris. We know you're all laid back and cool and Canadian, Jill, but never start a sentence with "dude" and expect to be taken seriously. Minus 8.

Minus 7 for Jillian for making up that dream about Ty after getting eliminated. Just move on, girl. Sorry, that was mean. Bad us. Minus 5 for our staff.

Finally, Plus 30 for the melodramatic setup to the "shocking" finale and the "intimate" After the Final Rose special to follow. What happened is so emotional ... that we've decided to keep it as intimate as possible. What does that even mean?

Oh, and Plus 16 for that great deleted scene with Jason and Molly in the tub, with their microphones malfunctioning. We imagine 98 percent of the show is like this.

With her heavily-hyped reunion with The Bachelor star Jason Mesnick drawing near on the season finale, DeAnna Pappas has revealed some additional details about why she rejected Mesnick in favor of Jesse Csincsak - then later dumped Csincsak.

"I believe that we all make mistakes in our lives and we learn from them ... it came down to two totally different people. Jason, who has it all together has everything a woman would want. And then there's Jesse, who kind of was a wild card," she told Extra.

"For me, I felt like the wild card was going to work out. Someone to keep me on my toes. Eventually, it wasn't what I was attracted to anymore," she added.

Both Jason Mesnick and Jesse Csincsak attempted to propose marriage to DeAnna Pappas during July's broadcast of The Bachelorette's fourth-season finale.

DeAnna Pappas rejected Mesnick, on bended knee, before he could follow through with his marriage proposal offer and presented Csincsak with her final rose.

Things initially seemed to go well for the engaged couple, but after months of wavering over a wedding location, Pappas announced she had broken up with Csincsak.

That split took place in November.

As for her reunion in New Zealand with Mesnick on The Bachelor, Pappas said it was a positive experience for her - and hopefully for The Bachelor viewers as well.

"I believe that it's going to resolve some issues for myself and possibly some viewers," she said.

When speaking of DeAnna Pappas' surprise visit, which will air in two weeks, Mesnick admitted to being caught off guard by the appearance of his ex-flame.

"Of course it threw me off. I fell in love with her and I went through my healing process. She's the last person I expected to see, especially in New Zealand," he said.

Tonight on The Bachelor, Jason Mesnick takes the final three bachelorettes to New Zealand for overnight dates - where the fantasy suite may or may not be in play.

Later, the L-word is dropped by one of the three girls, and one is sent home at the end. Will it be Melissa Rycroft, Jillian Harris or Molly Malaney hitting the road?

Pretty standard promo - except for the part about the "shocking" season finale, which is already being hyped even before tonight's elimination has been announced.

We're referring to the millisecond-long shot about two-thirds of the way in, which clearly shows Jason kissing a woman that really, really looks like DeAnna Pappas.

We know she's coming back to the show in some capacity, but is she really making a play for The Bachelor's heart? We're fairly certain it's her. See screen cap below:

Scandalous, to say the least - either if it actually happens, or if ABC used old footage from last season's The Bachelorette as the ultimate fake-out. Wouldn't surprise us.

What do you think? Would Jason actually choose DeAnna Pappas if given the choice over his remaining options this season, or is this all just reality TV smoke and mirrors?

After the nuttiest hometown date in The Bachelor history, Naomi Crespo, 24, found herself out of the running for Jason Mesnick’s heart and on a plane home.

The flight attendant spoke to People about whether the dead dove was symbolic of her chances, her wacky folks and her pick for who will win The Bachelor ...

Q: Your hometown date was one for the books.

Naomi Crespo: It was embarrassing, oh my god. My mom is kinda out there. She obviously could not wait to make her television debut. I was apprehensive because I knew my mom had something up her sleeve. But I did not know it was going to be bringing out a dead bird and giving it a eulogy. That was so beyond me.

Jason Mesnick: [thinking] "Is this really happening?"

Q: Has your mom ever acted like that in front of your other boyfriends?

Naomi Crespo: My mom has met one serious boyfriend (my longest relationship), and obviously she has never done anything that crazy. My mom and I had a strained relationship for a long time. My parents divorced when I was young and my mom gave my dad custody. She was experiencing a mid-life crisis. We spent most of our childhood in New York with him. I spent my sophomore year with my sister, who was always my motherly figure. So she didn’t really have the opportunity to do that.

Q: Jason Mesnick claimed that your family didn’t have anything to do with you not getting a rose on The Bachelor.

Naomi Crespo: As far as letting me go, deep down it didn’t matter what I said, that’s what he felt [about] me not being ready at this time in my life. I think outside of this experience, I am ready. I want kids. I want a family. But because we weren’t meant for each other, it didn’t feel right. My parents are crazy - maybe had something to do with it - but I think ultimately he felt in his heart that I’m not the one for him.

A week after narrowly surviving elimination due to Jason Mesnick's concerns about her readiness to settle down, Naomi Crespo, 24, was sent packing from The Bachelor on Monday night's episode after a lackluster hometown visit.

"I would've moved to Seattle in a heartbeat. It sucked that the reasons that I gave him that I don't wanna go home are the reasons I'm going home," she said.

"I put myself out there, and I'm glad I did, but go figure, I finally admit that I'm falling in love and the next thing I know, I'm going home."

"I want to have a family I want my kids to have one place to call home. I really did think that it might be here I never wanted to have my heart broken again. I never wanted to feel the way I do right now," Naomi Crespo added.

The young, fun-loving flight attendant from California had plenty more to say about her ouster from The Bachelor as she tried to rationalize what happened.

"I think Jason letting me go was actually a blessing in disguise," she said.

The Bachelor party is being extended yet again.

With the long-running reality TV series blazing in the ratings for ABC this season, the network has ordered a one-hour special to air the day after the finale.

The events in the show's regular three-hour conclusion are dramatic enough to warrant an additional hour, Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss said: "It's going to be shocking ... the end of this series is the best we have ever had."

The Bachelor normally airs a one-hour reunion special, entitled "After the Final Rose." Last year, when DeAnna Pappas chose Jesse Csincsak over Jason Mesnick (below), the reunion actually drew bigger ratings than the finale.

On March 3, ABC will air the new special - tentatively titled "After the Final Rose: Part 2" - and it will include additional interviews with The Bachelor star Jason Mesnick, the woman he chose in the finale - and the woman (or women?) he did not.

Might Ty be in trouble? Will there be a Molly Malaney vs. Melissa Rycroft cat fight? Will DeAnna Pappas murder either or both? How can you not tune in!

We currently stand at three bachelorettes. Who do you think will win?

Very excited to turn on the TV tonight and see what I can only assume is our next bachelor: Barack Obama! Actually, quite disappointed - I wanted to see Jason and my girls like I do every Monday night!

Obama already found a smart, sassy darling and has some adorable children to show for it – give Jason his chance in the spotlight, Prez!

Recap, recap, and then they spend twenty minutes telling us what will happen in the next two hours (Producers, can’t you film more real stuff?) 

Meanwhile, I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THE PART ABOUT THE DEAD DOVE!!!! How hilarious is that?? I feel like it’s something that should be in a Ben Stiller movie… I can’t wait ICantWaiticantwait!! But alas, more recap….

Finally, it’s 9:12 and the episode is actually starting. That felt longer than 12 minutes. But wait, commercial first.

It took ABC the length of a sitcom to show it, but Jason finally made it to meet Jillian in Canada on this week's installment of The Bachelor.

Ok, 9:15 and we’re back and Jason is off to Canada, with Jillian! Jillian takes Jason to a lake in Alberta where she tells him a story about how she touched feet with a monster in the lake named Ogopogo. In the past Ty was the only person in Jason’s life that believed in monsters…way to make Jason feel like he’s gonna have another kid to take care of Jill. That’s the key to a man’s heart.

I asked both of my roommates to make monster noises, and Nicole did a pretty good job. She took note of the fact that the monster lived underwater, so that helped.

Plus 5 for ABC subtly plugging Dancing with the Stars via Jillian Harris' mom's take on relationships: "Life is a dance and you learn as you go."

Minus 4 for Jillian literally mixing her cliches: "I literally catapulted off the couch. It was like a total cherry on the top of a perfect day."

In Michigan, Molly Malaney's dad offered her the best Guns n' Roses-themed advice of the evening: don't cry. Simple, yet profound. Plus 11. (Jillian's mom blew a chance to warn her about getting caught in November Rain... again.)

The Malaney hat box was great, too, leaving both Jason and Molly momentarily mortified. Plus 4. And Plus 3 more for Molly's adorable argyle sweater!

Minus 4 for mimosas in a Thermos. It's just weird, Naomi. But not as much as referring to Jason Mesnick as her "potential future husband" three times in 90 seconds.

Hector: There's just one God. Joanne: There are multiple lifetimes. Mmm. Minus 12 because this awkwardness sealed Naomi's fate long before the Rose Ceremony.

Canada's Jillian Harris was the big winner of the night, while Jason Mesnick received a bit of a surprise when Melissa Rycroft said her parents would not be participating.

A surprising Plus 13 for Melissa Rycroft's parents declining to participate on the show. No offense to Melissa for her decision to go on The Bachelor - thank goodness she did! - but you have to admire her folks' stance in a way.

Minus 5 at the same time, though, because they could support their daughter a little. They didn't even go to games when she was a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader? Her surprisingly low self-esteem for a girl so gorgeous makes sense now.

Plus 6 for Jason Mesnick keeping Melissa around in spite of this setback. Besides, her family's no-show still leaves them light years ahead of Naomi's family. Let's hear it for victory by omission! You wonder if Melissa Rycroft heard how Naomi's date went, decided she already had a rose in the bag and told her parents not to bother.

A brief discussion of next week's previews: New Zealand? Really? Jealous. Plus 4. OMG, is there some doubt about Jason and Molly's chemistry? Minus 7. Okay, did Melissa not tell her folks she was even going on the show? Minus 2. Finally, re: DeAnna Pappas' return - if we're supposed to believe what we saw (and it's not ABC having a field day with us), DeAnna tells Jason she made a mistake - and he still has a chance with her?! Minus 13, because we don't buy it ... but totally Plus 35 because that would be, as Chris Harrison's voiceover says, "the most shocking twist in Bachelor history."

Tonight on The Bachelor, after the President of the United States talks about some economic stimulus thing, Jason Mesnick will embark on critical hometown dates.

This is where things can really click or go terribly wrong.

It's where Brad Womack was turned off by Bettina Bell's dad, Tessa Horst caught Andy Baldwin's eye, Lorenzo Lamas made a ridiculous cameo with daughter Shayne, and on the most recent The Bachelorette, Jason fell for DeAnna Pappas.

Now that the roles are reversed and he's The Bachelor, what will tonight's hometown dates - to Michigan, Texas, Canada and California - tell Jason about favorites Molly Malaney and Melissa Rycroft - and underdogs Naomi and Jillian?

That remains to be seen, but it wouldn't be The Bachelor without some major surprises. For one, the previews have indicated that the parents of Melissa Rycroft do not approve of this show - and he won't be meeting them in Big D.

She's been considered the favorite by many - will tonight's trip to Dallas put Molly Malaney in the driver's seat? Or will Jillian or Naomi make a run?
