  • Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Joy Behar Rumble on The View (10/23/2008)

I have watched The View on and off over the last few yers. Shortly after Rosie O'Donnell replaced Meredith Viera I turned off the set. I could not stand Rosie's bullying and her wacko view point. When Whoopie Goldberg joined the show, I turned it back on. For a while it was ok. I have no problem with people intelligently expreessing their viewpoints, but I expect everyone on the hsoe to be respectful of each other. Whoopie generally is. Barabra used to be, until her tell-all book came out, and she came out of the liberal closet. Joy Behar has become out of control. She is rude and obnoxious to any and all who disagree with her and uses sarcasm like a knife. Many times I've heard her be intolerant and mean, only to justify it by saying "It"s called comedy" or some other such nonsense. Because of her past teaching background (Heaven help us! I'm glad none of my children were exposed to her in the classroom!)and extensive vocabulary, she presents herself as an expert on almost everything discussed at the table. It's true that Elizabeth Hasselback is young, and inexperienced. It may also be true that she is not themost informed of the women on that show. BUT, she has the right to state her case without interruption, condescension, or criticism from the others. Joy Behar should be ashamed of herself. I know hat Elizabeth is a young mother, and just starting a career, but I think she should move on. Behar, Walters, and Goldberg show her no respect and love to try and make her appear foolish. If i were Elizabeth, I'd have been gone a long time ago. For what it's worth, I am now so truly disgusted that I will no longer watch this farce.
